  1. thanks the cars in a thousand bits at the moment ill try get all the pics up tomorrow been busy this weekend making the wheels fit:cool:
  2. Lol yer like you say you have keyed the surfaces up so can't see this moving, cheers mate
  3. Thanks yes I see them, this was how I done my bmw, a mustang garage next door to my work said about using some special 2pac resin to bond them down, trouble with these they not as simple as just bonding due to gaps ect, think ill stick to the original plan
  4. looks great well done for doing it yourself too:salute: when you bonded your arches on did you just fix in place with rivets then fiberglass resin the whole lot together of did u use a bonding agent as well? just in the process of doing mine, wondering whats the best option is
  5. I always seem to get misfire problems with what ever car I own due to a broken wire or bad joint ect, has any one got a price for a new engine harness for the 2jzgte? Found a couple of company's in America will make custom new ones up for single instals with aftermarket intakes for about £500 seems like a worth while mod being as most looms have been butchered and 20 years old. Is any one in here or in the uk making these?
  6. Thanks yes will update the first few posts with all the progress photos, only had it a week an already in 1000 bits!! 2minds on pulling the engine apart and inspecting for piece of mind. Why would you recommend keeping the aircon?
  7. New wheels arrived from Norway since owning my first supra I fell in love with these wheels, when they come up forsale I couldn't resist, due to the wide offsets it meant a lot more work but no more girlfriend means ive got the spare time I bought some veilside over arches and some Genuine veilside skirts as I was unsure of how much the arches was going to be flared (wheels were being shipped over at time) when the wheels arrived and test fitted I realised they would need the over arch kit bonded on and as much as I like the oem skirts I didn't want to try bonding them to fibre glass, so opted for the fiberglass veilside. I cut and flared the arches and fabricated them until the contour matched the over arch and cleared the wheels. I took the suspension out and used a jack to raise and lower the car to make sure the wheels cleared and the car looked right my intentions was to not bond the trail rear on with the kit, I was going to bond the rest of the arch to the bumper and have it removable still, but after several tea breaks and looking at it decided blended looked best! The over arches I had were massive wanted to try and achieve a more subtle look with the over arch blended in to make it look like it was just the arch flared, ive tapered them back into the car, to me gives the car a better stance and not so aggressive. The only bit im not sure about at this stage is where the intake on the skirt meets the wheel arch, thinking of panelling it in to make it a bit more subtle, or it may be a case of all the different colours throwing me off after 4 days of prepping wheels on wheels off, jacking the car up and down the kits on and layered with fiberglass Going to start work on the inner arches now sealing them up and fabricating some mounts so the inner wheel arches fit, soon be off to Dave (SupraLoopy) for a respray
  8. so the big strip down has started Im going to de clutter the engine bay as much as possible, the fuse box is crammed up with the powersteering tank making it all look untidy so im going to cut and relocate the fusebox to the boot, wire tuck as much as I can, fabricate a new power steering resovoir with aeroquip fittings, remove any unused brackets and weld up all the holes, fabricate a new breather box with -12 fittings welded to the cambox covers, have the intake and throttle body polished along with other parts. Doluck front bumper picked up from Baldy, built up around the headlights to reduce the gaps and bonded in new fixings picked up a trail rear and trd spoiler, had to do some more work with the trail rear for a better fit
  9. 10. 3-3.5k seems to be the rate from what I can see what about lsd and half shafts?
  11. as the title really how much are they selling for and what would be included in this price?
  12. Usual brake pads, disks, coolant, oil, tyres. All depends how hard you drive and how lucky you are on the day, bring tools as might need to tweek a few bits too
  13. Myhermes.co.uk they have been quite good
  14. stick with the bride runner as they fit the supra floor which is a lot more work
  15. Just the seats and them runners are fine I can make custom brackets from the to pick up your new seats, can't see this all being more than £100 at most If you can get me the hole pitch from the base of the new seats and send me the runners I can always do that providing the seat bases are flat. My workshops in Leigh on sea essex
  16. I'm a welder fabricator with 14 years experience, coded in mig, tig, mma welding Also made the low mount subframes for people on here and the expansion tanks. If you do a search on here for 1jz turbo e36 BMW you will see the seat frames I made for mine http://www.mkiv.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?171394-Bought-myself-a-winter-project
  17. bring the whole lot to me an ill fabricate them so they fit
  18. Built this back when bass was more important than speed, now im deaf weight reduction is a priority
