  4. Hello im grafting a supra r154 gearbox onto a small block chevy for my cobra project ive made the bell housing adaptor got to the final stages and now found the oem friction disk springs foul on the flywheel bolts Ideally I want a friction disk that's flat on one side to give me the clearance on the bolts, the only thing I can find is a paddle type clutch which im not really keen on, any one have anything laying about or know of a make of disk that will resolve my problem?? I cant machine the flywheel as theres not a lot of meat on it, I could countersink and install alen bolts but not sure if this is a wise move any help be greatly appreciated thanks

  6. They look the same as a greddy exhaust temp sensor I just removed from mine
  7. Nice build, something very relaxing with building engines!! Well when all the bits fit anyway
  8. I keep getting lots of pms with interest in these mounts if MODs and every one ok I don't mind doing another group buy on these?? these will be made using my supra as a jig for 100% fitment
  9. Have emailed him thanks What's the chances of some one having two in a box in their garage lol Part number - F1496P
  10. Just had the valves reground and found 2 of the intake valves are bent any uk company's stock these??? Or point me in the right direction Intake Stainless steel 34.5mm diameter
  11. The cars now with Dave, so its time to start work on the engine and other parts. after the compression test showed the first cylinder down 30psi from the rest, my dad advised me to make a tool up to pressurise the first cylinder on compression stroke to see where it was letting by. I could hear it coming from the turbo drain socket in the sump and nothing from the exhaust or intake, so meant the engine coming apart I have now stripped the engine, no visible damage to the bore, piston or rings still look brand new, so I took everything to Gossnay Engineering to be measured and checked. He told me over the counter the rings are quite glazed and from inspection the parts have not been balanced ive left all the bits with them and awaiting a call with his advice on whats needed, hopefully just a hone, new rings and a full balance. the clutch never felt right driving it, on stripping the gearbox inspection plate I discovered this which cant of been helping matters the ring gear was worn and knew it would need replacing or building up again, so I set the tig up and built all the teeth that were worn up then filed back to original shape theres a fair bit of fabrication work im going to redo then have it sent off to all be polished, with regards to the ICV does the plumbing have to be hard piped or can a hose be as good? I want everything in the bay to look as subtle and neat as possible. Ive sent the dash panels and a few other of the interior plastics off to be hydro dipped in carbon will post up pics this week
  12. I hope it was cheap!!! Don't use it mate send it back or cut it off and have a new one welded on
  13. Ok cheers will leave it on, can't be dealing with starting issues
  14. I have a Jun plenum with the idle control valve on the underside and some ugly pipework coming off it, am I right in thinking this can be deleted? ill be running syvecs, quite sure Ryan ditched it on my 1jz thoughts on this???
  15. Thanks makes it a lot easyier having all the tools and a big workshop to get it done yes I keep looking at the veilside skirts mainly where the rear arch meets it, think there's to many shapes going on around that area but Dave said it will look ok, will see when most of it's prepped if I'm happy. I had to cut and flare all the arches then panel beat them to form the contour of the over arch.
  16. I didn't wangt to go as far as over arches with this one but had to because of the wheel offsets, hopefully looks well once painted
  17. Thanks really lucky my work allows me to do this Think going for Panther black, not sure what to do with rear diffuser have that sprayed same or satin black or a gunmetal. more than likely keep all same colour
  18. started work on the engine bay this week, degreased everything and welded up all the holes that will no longer be needed removed the whole aircon unit, bit daunting once the dash is out:blink: aircon hole in the bulk head now welded up and smoothed over air box sealed. the bonnet has gas struts with horrible mounting brackets, desided to cut and blend them into the original hinges Now the cars had the final fiberglass work done on the outside, I jacked it up removed all the wheels and fiberglassed the over arches to the wings from inside the wheel arch to prevent and damp and water getting in, once I get the car back from dave ill underseal the whole car!! fiberglassing overhead was a nasty job its ready now for supra loopy to work his magic tomorrow while the cars being prepped and painting it will give me time to start work on the engine, looks like from the compression test cylinder one is down 30psi from the rest, will be doing a few more tests to find out where its losing the compression but looking like ill be stripping the whole engine for definite now
  19. Of you want one the same as an oem bonnet I can make you one as I have mine to use as a pattern
  20. Hello mate did you get my pm about the wheels? did you get them refurbed in the end?
  21. Thanks Aircon now in the bin though
  22. Have to agree I never use the aircon, for that one week of sun we may get its not worth keeping, id rather lose a bit of weight from the car and have a better flow of air through to the radiator. I have updated the first few posts with photos its coming along
