  1. Another update myself an dave have thrown a load more hours at it to get it to what it is now after i painted an wrapped the rollcage in paper I spent agesssss rubbing down the inside ready for paint My intentions was to paint the inside white then hammerite the footwells but after chatting with dave decided to paint the whole thing white. Painting the inside was a pain in the arse with the roll cage fitted but im pleased with the end results. Dave has done an amazing job prepping, checking an rubbing down the out side, has been really good to see this car come along step by step being able to ask questions and alter things instead of getting the car done an finnished none the wiser yesterday was the big day Dave ordered the Audi R8 white in final checks were made an he began to paint the car Spent ages getting all the tape and paper off the car and roll cage but the end result looks the tits really happy with it Daves done a top notch job, the pic quality is not the best but once flatted an polished and all finnished ill get some high res pics done

  8. Myself an Dave have been throwing some hours into this car the past 3 weeks, Dave has been working on shaping the arches, sorting out the sunroof, prepping the outside of the car up and pushing me out the snow while my job been the inside, prep an paint the roll cage then make a start on prepping the inside and engine bay for paint. My boss had a 3 week holiday booked so me an Dave had that time to get it in primer before he comes back an throws it out the workshop its come along way now I can start to get the eye for what it will look like finished. The workshops looking nice and white too Next stage will be more prepping ready for the top coat, with Daves help it wont take long:thumbs:
  9. Unless your spending big bucks on a 240 mig set you wont pull the amps for heavy steel work. We use 110v inverter MMA (arc) welder for the site welding that will do what you need, you cant really teach arc in a day though you will get the basics but a lot of time an dedication is needed to perfect it in all positions. you would be best off doing a night coarse on it, as long as the beam end plates, gussets or what ever welding are done in the flat possition it wont take you that long to get the hang of. At least if you do a welding coarse you will have something of a coding at the end of it which may help on some jobs. Best bet is to find a more reliable welder and pay them to do it

  17. I have two fuel rails with fitted injectors on removing them the smallest o ring on them all was baked and brittle. the O rings I am after are labled No 2 in the following link http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=18134&d=1121285233 the injectors im fitting are sard 650cc drop ins so cant see there being a change from oem but might be wrong.

  20. Going for the new BMW white, the diffuser, front splitter, trim and roll cage will be painted black.
  21. Been cracking on with this now making the bumpers fit is the main job at the moment, got the rear bumper to fit somewhere near where I want it and after some thought decided to make a rear diffuser up to create some down force. Its a big job but with the extream diet the car has been on most of the weight keeps coming off its arse Ive had to remove the rear spare wheel well to make this fit, to which later ill fabricate a shallow one from ally, I have cut an fabricated the diffuser to follow the contour of the rear bumper, then once painted ill be adding a couple of fins in the center. The rear exhaust hole has been cut, I have raised it as high as possible so I can panel out either side of the diffuser. Bought a carbon rear wing from a member on here I know not to every ones taste but this i think will also help with my traction troubles. Managed to get my arse kicked on ebay for a set of Cobra monaco bucket seats they arrived with a couple of rips and holes but managed to get my mum on the case to repair them. I have fabricated a set of seat mounts with runners then sprayed them matt black. spent ages rubbing the inlet manifold down and polishing it, just waiting for a set of sard 650 injectors to arrive then the engine is about complete my mate has told me he has a nice twin plate clutch up forsale waiting till hes pissed to strike a deal Dave has now started the nice job of prepping the bodywork to which hes not hanging about with it
