Im looking at puting a small heater in my car as cant be doing with the front screen misting all the time, I have 3 ports on the engine that are blocked one from the back of the water pump one off the back of the head one around the oil filter which two of these will be my flow an return as for the life of me cant remeber the plumbing, im guessing the back of the water pump will be the flow.   8. its just all the work and the looms are not cheap now as every one seems to be on the 1jz wagon, think im going to try a few more things with this then jump to stand alone

Searched the whole net mate, its a mkiii supra loom an ecu which seem to be like rocking horse poo, managed to get a manual ecu but thats made the car run like a bag of crap not 100% sure if this ecu is broken though as from research they are prone to fail. the only thing i can put it down to is The speed sensor wire is not connected (r154 box is cable driven) the sta and nsw wires are the other possibilitys ( i have tried the splicing these into the start wire) all the ways possible and no difference changed the plugs new crank sensor set up tps changed coil packs and ignitor new water temp sensor

Been a while since ive updated this the car is now fighting it all the way an im close to losing interest with it:banghead: Its now on the road with a full Mot and tax But cant get over some running problems which I think are caused by the ecu still thinking its an auto heres a few pics of the car and the work gone into it. Ive made up the door cards fitted them along with ally door handles. My dad has wired the whole car using just the bare essentials to run it an pass an mot, this has saved some weight and made it look tidy, Ive made an ally fuse box to store the relays and fuse boards, and mounted the Ecu and Emanage Blue. Made a basic dash board for switches and mounting the boost controller and speedo. Had to make a custom scuttle pannel as the origional let water drip onto the coilpacks this one has drain spiggots in the corners I have made up ally header tank, washer bottle, breather box. fabricated the 2.5" intercooler pipe to sit relaxed, and made brackets to hold the ally rad in place, fitted a blitz dump valve, some pics of the car now just needs flatting and polishing and some more work on the front bumper and arches for a better fit, my mistake The cars almost there just tidying little bits up on it, the main prob is the cut im getting at 3-4k think my only option now will be to go standalone.
  11. lol from what I have read it needs the neutral start switch connected so the ecu knows the cars cranking but it will run disconnected as mine does, on the 1jz the sta wire and nsw as seen on the ecu pin out below need to be connected or the car splutters like mine. http://www.clickdesign.co.uk/supradupra/html/1jz_wiring.html This post describes the problems im having, the STA wire up in here is simple enough but the NSW wire im unsure of wiring as my engine loom runs to a kit car style loom with no NSW wire to pick up from. http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?p=870699#post870699 heres a wire diagram of the nsw http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=038 Looks to me like both wires splice into the ignition trigger wire, I have tried this but the car brings up the water temp sensor code for the ECU Im now thinking once the car had cranked an runs these wires will now be running to earth, but shouldnt as the above post describes running to a relay. Im no electrician but if some one can help me theres a few beers in it im sooooooooooo close to finnishing this car now and believe this to be the problem. I have changed coil packs plugs ignitor coil pack clips checked and terminals tightened for a better conection crank angle sensor water temp sensor set up tps from a toyota manual checked, cam pos sensors and map sensors with a meter all in tolerance The aeromotive FPR ignition on is showing just under 4 bar when running around 3 1/2 bar Profec B boost controller is showing 1.2 bar of boost with 10% gain blanked the BOV off just in case that was letting by still same.
  12. when converting your autos to manual, what do you do about the ecu not thinking its an auto any more ?? im having trouble with my 1jz spluttering around 4 and read several problems to the ecu thinking its still in park or neutral john

After doing a 1jz instal on an m3 bmw I am having a few teething problems around 4-4500rpm the car coughs and spluters I have swapped the coil packs plugs an ignitor for know good ones. the engine warning light now comes on after calibrating the tps it picks up in the higher revs but still splutters, before doing the tps no engine light come on i have tried the manual diagnostic check and its showing up code 42 which on looking in the manual is the speed sensor signal. The speed sensor wire from the ecu is doing nothing which makes me believe the car has no idea how fast its going. Im going to try this mod in hope this will cure it, http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=349732&page=4 i can find the speed sensor wire its just the vss input wire im unsure of. I have an ecu pin out with the speed sensor listed as T8 pink wire & T7 is a blue and red wire that runs up to the grey square block that I guess would have gone to the dash, this is listed as being a/c signal from a/c ecu to engine ecu> would I be correct in cutting these two wires an the ecu and soldering them together to complete this mod. Been asking on a few forums about this now but not much help I have a 1jz with the following ecu pin outs I have an emanage blue that I need to cut an splice in, fairly sure I have that sorted, its the injector harness thats confusing me.
