Nearest Disco/ Club I know of is in Verton, a few klicks north. Its still outside normal French Holiday season so things will still be quiet in the towns. I will check out if anything on locally on Thursday / Friday whilst I am over there and let you all know if there is anything worth doing on the Saturday.

In order to get through the toll on the French motorway, its worth having 3.4 euros (at my last visit) just to avoid a big queue.

A good quality mastic! I have used it to stick all sorts together, Metals, Plastic, wood. etc etc. Its currently holding my interior light up in the rear of my van and is surviving the heat of the sun fine.

During the past few sunny and hot days my Road Angel Laser detector has been going off at the most unusual times. I am sure its not been a speed trap or a car following or passing on the other side unless there was a flurry of unmarked police cars on the M2 the other day. OK they recon they can be set off by 'reflections' but I am beginning to wonder, can there really be that many reflections, and just what constitutes a laser? Also it seems pretty good in the Kent Surrey, Sussex area that I drive alot. There is the odd camera facing the other way etc despite the fact that I update weekly, but I must admit that I have never stopped and reprogrammed it myself.

Ougt to put in parts wanted but has anyone got the recoil strip thinging that runs up inside the hatch trim. one of mine is broken and a cabletie don't look too good.

If you track back through threads you will find that I was stopped by DVLA who argued that my car was untaxed despite the fact that I had a tax disk and the receipt from the post office for the payment. When I phoned DVLA they had the car registered to me but listed as not taxed????? So the other week I went off to the post office, tax disk in hand, and renewed tax no problem. I have yet to check with DVLA to see if they have got it right this time. Interestingly, and I was up for the fight if they did, they did not decide to send me a letter, demand for tax, or a fine, despite their claim they do it all automatically. The system seems to have holes in it!

Shame, as I will be in France on the Thursday before you all get there. May be able to get to you but where in West London are you?
