  1. Looks like we are a bunch of right wing activists. Nothing wrong with that. It is a belief system just as much as Islam. Interesting thought though guys. How many of us have seen the cartoons that caused so much damage to property and additional hatred (also against the Muslim faith). I wonder how many Muslims have seen them? I bet they have been published in their Newspapers, magazines and pamphlets. Otherwise how would they know what they were rioting about in the UK. And that is where the whole thing goes to pot. There seems to be a massive chip on their shoulders about all sorts of stuff. Perhaps we should reinforce that they live in a democracy where, in theory at least, the rules are made by the majority, not the minority, and as such if they wish to continue to live in this country, as most of us wish to do, they should concede to that majority view. The alternative is obvious. I personally would hate to live in a police state or dictatorship, but it seems that our authorities loose sight of the fact that we are already a liberal nation, and bowing further to ethnic pressures, will slowly devalue all our national characteristics, good or bad, but that is what defines us as Great Britain.
  2. Just came accross this. Bling eBay item Pulleys for Toyota Supra alternator & crank underdrive Simple to install ADD 15 BHP!! Made in Uk ## Item number: 8047491610 Had same problem on a Celica years ago, Could not figure the squeek at first but finally sussed it when it fell off. Now that was fun getting at it with a transverse engine. Had to go in through the wheel atch etc etc.
  3. To be honest I dont Know. Been running 30PSI on these 265/35/zr18's and no obvious signs of uneven wear (yet)
  4. Drove from Somerset to Sussex yesterday. As I started off I had a small vibration coming from the back of the car. Nothing below 60 leptons but got more noticable the faster I went and could not drive through it. Hmmmm Stopped and check over both rear tyres. Could not see anything amis, all looked ok. Felt around the side walls nothing found. No sign of weights missing. Hmmmm Drove rest of way home at a speed that made lots of Pug drivers very happy as they passed me. Went straight to local friendly tyre place and said can you check balance on rears, 265/35 ZR18 all round. 1st wheel off. Checked pressure, OK checked balance 15g out so stripped off all weights and started again and put wheel back on car. 2nd wheel off. Went straight to balance, way out, OK theres the problem!. Checked pressure, ZIP, NADA, NONE??? Only checked them all a couple of weeks ago all 30psi. Hmmmm What caused loss of pressure?? So we inflated the tyre to 30 psi put it down for a chat and it went BANG. 6" split in inside tyre wall and no possiblility of being sure what caused the loss of pressure. Wont be putting that back on the car. Obviously no new tyres available got to wait 24 Hrs for delivery. On the up side it did not go bang whilst driving, that could have been a lot, lot more expensive, not to mention dangerous, now just faced with the possibility of two new rears as the tread patterns will probably be different. So may try to sell one good tyre on ebay later, someone may want it as a spare for a track day as it has plenty of tread. The car now looks a bit sad and silly. Skinny spare tyre now narrower than exhaust pipe and certainly not an alloy. I have had to park it so you cant see the difference from the street. Lesson to be learned, Check tyre presures more often, and have a good look around at the same time.
  5. Road angel compact. The only time the laser detector has hone off is past the big Radar dish at Gatwick. Nearly shat my pants till I worked out what had set it off. Once in a while the database has the cameras facing the wrong way though.

  9. My car came with HKS and I want to go stock too. Previous owner threw all the parts away. The potential cost of Toyota parts is worrying.
  10. Been over to Frogland many times without GB sticker no probs, never been pulled even though Gendarmes looking close. Worth being aware of problems penalties. If cars or drivers get stranded I can arrange for off street relatively secure parking not far from Fort Mahon if desperate can manage a bit of accomodation. Will see all you guys over there. For Paul: Where do you plan to meet up off the Scuttle or will you be haul assing straight down. PS the Frencies call us Roast beef.

  12. Agreed. Super service. Has anyone got his email address or should I ask him direct.
  13. I've been off all week.!! Friday is POETS day anyway Piss Off Early Tomorrows Saturday.
  14. Spoke to Steve Manley. Brilliant. Do I need to say more. Also spoke to Yeomans, Brighton Toyota dealer. Bob Ellis. Sent him some pics of offending part etc and he came up with same answer as Steve but with no discount. Am now waiting for Toll House to get back to me saying parts are in stock. Have sent a email to them asking what their policy was towards imports. MD reply was No Policy. Wrong answer. Policy should be No Difference. I will refuse parts on point of principle even if they match Steve Manleys discount. They will also be very aware that they have blotted their copybook badly. If it wasnt for the fact that I was on holiday, sorting out domestic issues I would have let this drop as much too time consuming. Their loss. To add to the fun I have personal contacts at Toyota GB. I will be pressing buttons there as well. Will keep you all posted but big up to Steve Manley and Bob Ellis.
  15. Part I wanted most of all was a speed sensor for 4WS on a ST203 Celica (The other car). Gave the guy the chassis number etc and "Imported piece of rubbish" was his first words before I asked for part. I was surprised I actually went there. Again A couple of years ago the car was in for some work and I had stupidly left digital camera on passenger seat. A couple of days later I downloaded pictures from camera and found a pic of one of their guys sitting in my car in their workshop. I went ballistic, Insisted that the culprits were immediately fired for gross misconduct etc etc. I think I got my point accross. So this is the last straw. I have emailed the MD already to register my disgust, the parts are still on order but I am looking elsewhere. He will get a visit from me tomorrow when the parts arrive. Incidentally I am talking to a parts guy in Yeomans Toyota in Brighton. He has been great, have emailed pictures of parts and things seem to be going well. Steve Manley may get a call very soon.
  16. I just visited my local Toyota Dealer to order some parts for both my Supra and my Celica, (both imports). The Dealer was Toll House Toyota, of Crawley, Sussex. Their parts departments immediate reaction to my request, when presented with the Chassis number, was "Imported piece of rubbish" I was about to have a stand up row with him when I remembered that I really needed the parts and they are Toyota specials. I have sent them an email asking what their policy was, but I really dont expect a reply. I might have that argument anyway when I have got the parts in my hand. I thought this attitude was dead and buried, but it still seems to thrive. I wonder if it is still pevalent in other Toyota dealerships.
  17. Hi guys, I will be in France before you!! I will be stopping at Brother in Laws holiday home in Berck a few mins up the road from where you will be staying. A few questions that maybe should be directed to organisors and comments for all. For fuel and food there are Tesco stores just off the M20 at J10 (North Side) and J12 (South side) for last minute purchases. Will you be pausing to regroup when you get off the shuttle, Bleriot Plage possibly, or shall I meet you at the Total garage on the motorway? I forget what the toll is, something like 3.40 Euros (both ways) so some euro coins would save time there. There is a dedicated British RH drive toll on the way south to get your ticket, but elsewhere your passengers will have to get the ticket and pay the toll. Forgot that you were organising food on Saturday night. Do I need to let you know what I want (2 x meat) and when do you want payment, just for food, or can it be sorted on the night? If you are into duty free and wine I have found that the Berck Carrefour has been OK but Calais, Cite Europe has a greater stock. There are no supermarkets as such in Fort Mahon so if you have needs for breakfast get them in UK. Check with the AA etc. etc. for recovery if the worst happens. Also what documents are needed, insurance & the like, GB Badges & headlamp beam adaptors, also silly things that Frogs require like spare set of bulbs and warning triangles, just in case the Gendarmerie get stroppy. I have never yet been stopped but there is always a first, and we will draw some attention. If the worst happens I have facility for emergency accomodation and somewhere safe to leave a car in a secluded private estate off the main road in Berck. I will be coming back on the Monday or Tuesday via Bologne so will be waving you goodbye from a motorway bridge. Lets hope the weather shines on us, and see you there.
  18. A couple of things. Just joined and lo and behold my Brother in law has a holiday home in Berck 20mins south of Le Touquet and guess what, I was planning a dirty weekend there that weekend. Can I tag along, please, but, I will be travelling via Speed ferries Catamaran from Dover to Bologne. Incidentally, if you know the insde of the speed ferry, you can get a lowered supra almost anywhere, but be aware, they may ask you to reverse into a space! and you might have to take the ramps at an angle. Been over there with the supra several times and it always gets admiring looks from the locals and amazed looks from the gendarmes. If we dont tie up have a good one.
  19. Have you still got the tailgate spoiler, How much? Please.
  20. K944*** Black, full body kit, possibbly off out, or home to Burgess Hill.
