  1. happy birthday, have a good one. all the best for 2009
  2. hi, it is a nice camera, for sure. As i shoot mainly stills photography, i am really only looking for something that i can use on my vacation, so really am looking to get something around the 150 - 200mark, ideally around the 150UK mark. i do appreciate the offer, and if i was more into video side of things, i would have been interested, even at a higher price. thanks once again, Ian (p.s. thanks for the PM)
  3. definitely replace, i have TEIN SS and EDFC, and it suits me. why pay more for something if you are happy and it is only one that needs replacing/fixing. not saying i would not change to something else, if all needed doing, but atm i am happy with the TEIN SS i have had for most of this year.
  4. strangely enough Discovery are having a day of NASA Greatest missions that are on TV right now. what would be amazing if someone had visited the Moon that the Clanger's live on, lol
  5. So that must be the secret NASA Camera who needs the Nikon's and Hasselblads, lol any chance of a group buy
  6. i know since the last time these threads were done technology has changed even more, and higher spec for the same pricing points. I am thinking of buying a DV Camcorder this next few days for my vacation to Hong Kong. i know i can buy there, but i would like to have a record of things soon as i arrive at HKIA. I don't need anything to hi-spec as mostly i will be working with my Nikon D200. camcorder is only a backup to have some video footage. appreciate any advice that anyone has on make and models, also best option for storage/media (have seen SD and HDD) cheers in advance Ian
  7. he will be the one, has been on HIGNFY a few times. and even turned up on the politics show the other day.
  8. seems we can have 'boy racer's', and they get mentioned in the media. but never see much mention of 'girl racer's', but i am sure they are just as bad, some are around here. i wonder what a 'girl racer' is classed as, she can't be a 'boy racer', lol
  9. Another ill thought out idea from 'The Powers That Be'. firstly, i do not see why we are taking such a lead in enforcing carbon emissions and trying to lead the world in this. we only throw out a small percentage of said emissions. turning off streetlights is not gonna make much of a dent in the world emissions we are trying to save. Before we start, maybe it would be idea to bring down the major players, Russia, China, USA, African and Arab States to a level playing field, make them suffer first and take on the majority of the cuts. I know things have to be taken care of with regards to the future wellbeing of the planet and agree with that. but why is it always the UK that seems to want to lead the world, and then everyone gets hit with big bills. the Governments' crazy idea to get people off the road, put fuel costs up, but that is not a fair way. the only people that will be kept of the road (for the most part) are the ones who can't afford to pay the hiked up prices. Same with most things these days, the poor and less well-off suffer. Also, losing the streetlights will make it less safe for people going out at night, not just car drivers, but pedestrians. if you don't want to drive, or don't drive, public transport is next to useless for anyone not living in a town. wonder if they thought of people standing waiting for a bus or train, if they can't see around them what is going on. I better not get started on Speed Cameras. it would not be bad if they caught idiots tailgating you or acting a complete moron on the road, but they never concentrate on the major reasons of road incidents/accidents, just someone a few miles over the limit.
  10. i have been wondering this for a while. when i was here last time, there were not so many. now there are a plethora of advertisements and other things cropping up in sig's, that i have noticed in the few days i have been back. must admit, it does surprise me when traders pay good money to have their goods and services advertised, and yet there does not seem to be a rule on adverts in sig's, for people who do not pay.
  11. cheers, better than a 6, lol wonder if i can get an 8 with this Xylophones Acoustically, can be quiet pleasing Nevertheless, Alternatively you could try a Xylorimba
  12. *takes a stab at this* Xenophobic Attacks, Nasty, Abolish Xenophobia
  13. I would like to see Ant and Dec in the jungle (not that i am a fan), they like talking the talk. For once be good to see if they could hack it for real other than just make fun of others.
  14. But, Unthinking at times, maybe Really is happening a lot Guess it may be stopped Eventually Really, if we are lucky Kind, if for once Intentionally No-one Goes ahead and advertises in their sig
  15. Kurosawa and Lucas were good friends, and Lucas was the executive in charge of the international release of Kagemusha. Even Francis Ford Coppola was involved in the international version. Ran, i have to agree, is my equal favourite Kurosawa movie along with Kagemusha. maybe i am a bit biased towards Kagemusha, as it had the gorgeous Momoi Kaori in it i have just finished watching a 50 episode Japanese series 'Fuurin Kazan' (Samurai Banners) which is about Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin, amongst others. interesting list, it is a close your eyes and pick one list.
