On Sunday I attended ToyotaFest 2012. It was the first time I have taken the Supra to a show/meet and as a result, I got the chance to meet some great people along with some very nice cars. It turned out to be a judged event, but to be honest, I was only going for the people and the experience. Regardless, the supra won some trophys and it was a dead heat for 4 other trophys which I was quite happy with given that I did not really prepare the car at all besides a detail and drove it there and back! Whilst I was hoping to take a lot of photos on the day, I was too busy chatting to people and so have had to rely on other peoples photography skills. Thank you to Nathan, the boys at Toymods and also the guys at EADC.net.au...

Admittedly not a huge update, but just to let everyone know the car is still alive and is doing very well. I recently decided to purchase a nicer battery, and so I went with a Stinger: Also the tyres have seen better days, so I decided to replace them with some new rubber. Here is a photo of them next to my neighbours Toyota Corolla... just a light difference in width?

Just when I thought it could not look any better... you pull out more chrome and yet somehow make the car look even more subtle but aggressive... great work!

Ibrar: Apologies for just having gotten around to seeing this thread... What can I say, the build is shaping up to be an awe-inspiring project and I think the outcome will be jaw dropping looking at it thus far. As with hodges work, I have the utmost respect for your workmanship and the fact that you are doing so much of it yourself (not to mention that you are not just following trends, but are making it everything you want it to be) All the best, and I will look forward to the updates!

Hi Adam, Unless you are just doing it for looks, I would stick with stock TT brakes (with new discs + pads) or go with a better known brand such as Brembo or Stoptech as these are all time proven to be great brakes, whereas the K-sport are quite well known as "cheap big brakes" or "ebay brakes".

I must admit, I have been pretty slack lately when it comes to updating my threads, but wow, thank you everyone! As kind as that is of you to say, there are many supras out there (including on the UK forums) that would give my supra a run for its money both in terms of looks and performance! Haha thank you. When you get your Supra, you will wonder how you ever did without one... they are just stunning cars to own. Approaching 20 years old as a car and it still makes you proud to own one. I would love to visit the UK, I am ashamed to admit it is one of the few places I have never visited... it's on my list though! Thanks again, I really do have to take some footage of my track runs (private and public). It is so much fun to drive, I forget to document said fun I have heard a LOT of exahusts, both on supras and other Japanese imports, and I am proud to say that I think the dual exhaust with cutout and the combination of engine and turbo setup is a real pleasure on the ears... not too raspy or burbly, not tinny, a well tuned grunt with a bit of rasp ala F1. Thanks Neil, your Soarer is quite a looker. In fact, I would have bought a Soarer, but after seeing my first Supra I just fell in love. I have always had a soft spot for well modded soarers (I find stock ones a little plain for my liking). I don't know about the best ever... people like Hodge and Jamie really make mine look quite average when it comes to getting their hands dirty, modding it themselves and pure dedication. p.s. There are other sources for them, but I have had nothing but positive experiences with RHD Japan. I'm sure there are other members here who have ordered through them. Quite a few aussies use them too in addition to nengun and greenline.
