  1. That's the voltage of the supply to the ECU, which isn't necessarily the same as the voltage used for the lines you're talking about that control the various actuators. They may be 12V, or they may well be 5v say. It might say in the electrical manual on mkiv.com.
  2. I had them when I first bought the car, standard size though. They were good, not quite as good as the Goodyears though. One of the rears had a manufacturing defect too - it proved impossible to balance despite several attempts. They ended up sending it back to Continental for analysis, who gave me a credit note in the end to get a replacement. A full set of Goodyears cost just under £600 IIRC when I bought mine 9 months or so ago. That was 275 35 18 rear and 245 40 18 front.
  3. Yeah, come on Jake, you didn't really expect us to stand around in a services and then go home considering the people involved! Stand around, act interested in each others cars and then bugger off down the pub, that's more like it...
  4. Yes it does. In fact it comes on whenever any of the other warning lights come on.
  5. Never noticed that one, was probably going too fast...
  6. Yay! Spotted. Mine was the first gunmetal in line, behind Laz and Katie in the silver one.
  7. Yep, what Katie said! A beer and some food in the sun followed by a nice blast home, what could be better... Quite relieved now I know what the "gimp" is too.
  8. Sounds about right, 700KPa is around 100psi, 200KPa is 28psi. That's pretty much what mine reads at idle.
  9. Sorry mate, only just seen this. I'm heading off now(ish). Hopefully see you there (or en-route anyway!).
  10. Hey, less with the wrecked! It's only a scratch! The front could definitely do with some attention though, I can see a trip to the bodyshop coming on.
  11. I'll probably be there. As long as you promise not to take the piss out of the small scrape on my front bumper where I had a slight parking misjudgement the other day. At least I was thinking of turning up until I just saw that last post... I know that pub, I was there a couple of weeks ago - have a friend who lives in Fleet.
  12. Well, mine's a 97 facelift pre-VVTI manual, diff code A03B
  13. No adivice about the idle valve, but on no.3, get yourself a pump. I found one in my local motorist centre, a little plastic hand pump designed to pump air, water or oil. Makes it an absolute doddle. Otherwise getting the new oil in is a right PITA.
  14. The first one (12111) comes up as the right part in my EPC, the second (60030) comes up specified part does not exist.
  15. Now you have another gadget to tinker with the settings on the laptop, should keep you occupied...
  16. Sorry guys, only just seen this thread. You've definitely got the part numbers for the front bearings there, not the rear according to my EPC as colsoop says. Here is the diagram and part numbers off the EPC for the rear:-
  17. Nice one, glad you've got it sorted.
  18. Like this:- http://www.iptmotorsports.com/store/product.php?productid=31&cat=3&page=1. You can get 'em from MVP.
  19. A specialist in fields of course, dur!
  20. Yup, me too. You can get them in the states but they're round the wrong way being LHD.
  21. Sounds about right, 320bhp and 1510Kg gives you 215bhp/tonne.
  22. Yeah, good race that one, but I'm not a fan of the new regs at all. All the drivers interviewed afterwards were talking about how they'd not been pushing to save the tyres. F1 is supposed to be a sprint, pushing as hard as you can, not with everyone cruising to preserve their engines and tyres. Look at the Melbourne race, that was super boring despite the fact that half the cars were totally out of position and there should have been loads of overtaking. The new qualifying format is bonkers too.
  23. Yes, and it should also come on when you put your handbrake on, along with the brake warning light. It's the master warning light. EDIT: Argh, beaten to it!
  24. Cool vid. They're just showing off for some sponsors by the look of it though! They use an external heater that pre-warms the oil for F1 cars, similar to the way they pre-warm the tyres with the blankets. That's why you don't see them firing up and warming them up before taking to the track.
