  1. Yeah? Well tell him to bloody sand my bumper down properly before spraying it this time, LOL! Anyway cheers! Got my temporary TTE centre caps on atm that are a different colour from the rest of the wheel! New Lexus ones on the way...
  2. Yeah, well the reason I was over there was that I'd just been to Dawson's - it was in last week for them to repair the front bumper because it had a couple of cracks. They did a bit of a cack job though, and I was just coming back from telling 'em that! It's back in tomorrow for them to sort it out.
  3. Didn't spot the damage to your front as you went by though, so it can't be that bad!
  4. Blimey it's hard work adding yourself to this thread, you've gotta reconstruct the list first! I'll put myself down for Sunday only atm, dunno what time I'm getting there on Saturday. Saturday: Ian R cornimac darkrider666 Martin R supraloopy jimbo123 Sunday: Ian R Cashpoint cornimac darkrider666 Martin R jimbo123 SimonB
  5. No problem. I presume you're going to JAE at the weekend, if so and they're in by then just bring 'em along.
  6. Very nearly did the same myself, only realised on Friday night!
  7. A boost controller will not lower boost, only raise it. If you have no cats you will almost certainly need a restrictor, if you still have one in you will probably not. The only way to know is to see what boost you run.
  8. Oil leaks like that will only show up when the engine is running and the oil system is pressurised, so that's to be expected. If you've just changed the filter I would check it's done up tight enough, not cross threaded and has a good seal etc.
  9. Guys, these cheap ones are no good as they don't have CTSS (or whatever its called) so they only have 8 channels instead of 300 odd.
  10. Just booked a track evening with Goldtrack on the GP circuit. I've been on a full track day there before which was brilliant, but it was pretty expensive. This one is £135 for 2.5 hours open pit lane. August 15th if anyone else fancies it.
  11. Yes, that's the way to do it. Take the needle stop off, connect the dials up and turn ignition on, then mark where it settles. You will find it settles slightly below zero, which is why if you just put the needle back on zero with the ignition on it will over-read by 10mph or so. Without the ignition on they just drop right down. Revs are easy - just turn the air con off, note what it idles at (when warmed up) and line it up on that when you refit.
  12. If the front one from the Supra is a part of the structural integrity of the chassis we're all in a lot of trouble! It's just a hollow bit of aluminium that the bumper bolts to. There's no way it's going to reinforce anything where it is. It probably acts as a crumple zone to absorb impact and stop the radiator being punctured in low speed impacts.
  13. There's no way the impact bar at the front weights 18kg. It's only aluminium IIRC. EDIT:Aha, beaten to it!
  14. Love the way he just carries on! WTF is he doing taking a loaded gun in there anyway!
  15. That is truly shocking and horrible news. Everybody has said it already, but deepest sympathies from me too.
  16. Oh yeah! They're just the sort of centre caps I was after.
  17. Once you start it's very very addictive... The insurance thing depends on where you go I think. Silverstone or Bruntingthorpe or whatever I don't bother - the chances of hitting anything are very small. Castle Combe or somewhere like that it's worth having though.
  18. It's a cut and solder job. You really need a Fields harness (or rather the replacement one you can now get), then you can do all the soldering out of the car on a bench and plug the whole lot in in one go. Otherwise you're looking at cutting around 20 wires in the loom and soldering around 30 connectors on while suspended upside down in the passenger footwell with 4 inches of clearance...
  19. I try and do at least one full day a year, plus the odd session at things like JapFest at Castle Combe. Trouble is if you live down south your choice is a bit limited. You've got Thruxton, where they only have about 1 day a year, Castle Combe which is good but a bit scary due to the lack of runoff, Goodwood which has very restrictive noise regs and even less runoff or Silverstone which is great but very expensive for a full day. I was going to book one at Bedford in August but it's been cancelled or something and there don't seem to be any full days there until October! Anywhere else is a bit of a trek which means you really have to stay over which adds more expense. We could really do with more days at Thruxton, that'd be excellent! I'll probably be doing an afternoon/evening at either Silverstone GP circuit or possibly Bedford in August now.
  20. Yeah I thought it was braided, but the way the flash has lit it up it looked like it had a plastic coating or something.
  21. Very nice and clean, good job! What sort of hose is that?
  22. About time too, that was always a crap thing about the original one, having to use the special cable and the price they charged for it and the support tool, or get a clone cable. Think I'll stick with my blue one for now, but if I didn't have one already this one looks very good indeed.
  23. You can't quite see, need a better pic. I don't think they are TTE though, the TTE ones have a black circle in the middle. They look like Lexus ones that have been filled in and some other logo put on.
