  1. Here's some I took today, very pleased with these. The originals are 8megapixel (taken with a DSLR) (Edited to add another slightly different angle pic) http://www.simonb.org/images/IMG_0179small.jpg http://www.simonb.org/images/IMG_0180small.jpg http://www.simonb.org/images/IMG_0181small.jpg http://www.simonb.org/images/IMG_0193small.jpg
  2. Standard Toyota sideskirt (or at least a copy of since it looks like they're fibreglass in that pic and the originals are plastic). Original plastic ones are very expensive, but you can get replicas from various places, including Paul Whiffin and Miami GT.
  3. I posted the pic up ages ago, along with the one on the back page of the remains of the club gazebo...
  4. I was thinking exactly this myself, was going to post a thread up, but I knew whoever did would get volunteered... Better start thinking of categories, lemme see: The Ray award for inter club relations (wonder who might win...) The Supragal award for most patient member
  5. Damn, rumbled, LOL! Logistical impossibility unfortunately!
  6. My tip - if you crank the engine a couple of times after removing the wiring harness and before removing the fuel hoses, you will cut down the amount of fuel that gets spilled by removing any pressure in the system.
  7. Can't make this one any more, something's come up, sorry chaps!

    Sky+

Updates are done over the air. The phone line is only used for sending stuff from the box to Sky. After all, why would Sky use a 44kbit connection that costs money when they can use a huge bandwidth connection that's free.

    Engineers

Good one! PMSL! Love take 3, that is spot on. Exactly what I was thinking... Simon MEng (Hons) ACGI !
  10. I used a small cylinder pump I got from the local car parts place. It pumps air or liquids. Cost about a fiver IIRC.
  11. (Been wanting to use that smiley for ages!)
  12. Personally I would go for slightly higher than normal tyre pressure by a few psi. It will stiffen up the sidewall, which helps reduce overheating and blistering from the tread blocks and sidewall moving around. You might not have quite as good grip over 1 lap, but they'll be better over several, and you should get less wear too.
  13. Click on calendar, then add new single day event down the bottom right. Then post a link to the calendar entry here and get everyone to click on the "I am attending this" bit.
  14. That B road was genius. At the back with 4 Supras in a line ahead blasting along round a downhill series of bends was fantastic! One of the best drives I've ever had, it reaffirms why it is you love cars in the first place . Plus it was such a relief after being stuck behind sloooooow cars and the world's slowest tractor on the other road.
  15. Would this not be ideal information for car thieves too? Especially the VIN.
  16. Yeah, come on, it was great last year!
  17. Honestly wsb, pasting names is so last year! Get it in the calendar...
  18. There's a sticker on my gearbox saying something like "consult service manual before changing oil" to warn people not to put general ATF in.
  19. Normally the cheapest way is to draw money out from a cashpoint abroad. You get the banks wholesale rate which is much cheaper than the tourist rate - they charge you 2.75% or something but it still works out cheaper. Or get a Nationwide VISA card, they don't charge commision at all so if you use that abroad you get a much better rate. Dunno about Cyprus specifically, but that's what I always do when I go abroad. Just change a few quid for use at the airport etc.
  20. I've posted some vids up of my trackday at Silverstone. Here is the thread in the multimedia section.
  21. Yep, the gazebo is famous! Here's the club pic from earlier in the mag, can't be arsed to scan the other one.
  22. Just bought Banzai, and the club gets a mention along with Dale and a pic of his car and a fairly big one of the front of the stand with his car in too. Best thing though, is the back page, recognise this anyone:
  23. Wooo, though I'd post a very pissed up thingy after getting back from the pub, yay! Had a very stress free day down the beach, having a few beers and then having a few more this evening. So you'll have to wait till tomorrow b4 seeing track videos. Feelin a bit worse for wear now, see you fine chaps tomorrow...
  24. Last time we saw your car someone else was driving it!
