Probably just the turbos whistling, they all do that. Don't panic! If your turbos blow you'll certainly know it from the large clouds of smoke and total lack of power!

Well hey, maybe I'm missing something, but that's after the wastegate, it's in the downpipe after the turbo isn't it?

Well I don't know what the problem is, but that's got to be the best funny noise description ever! I guess the obvious culprit is a wheel bearing. You could jack that side up and try and rock the wheel to see if there's any play in it. It's usually the rears that go though, not the fronts.

If your ABS fails all that happens is the warning light comes on, it doesn't affect any other systems. Sounds like the ABS light is a symptom, not the problem. Could it be a dodgy speed convertor? That might affect the amount of power steering assistance, although it wouldn't cause it to fail completely.

Not sure how people manage to go through tyres so quickly. My F1s have done probably 15000 miles including 3 hours round Silverstone GP track and still have some tread left.

Errrr, yeah, but the engine doesn't actually fit does it? Hence having no bonnet. What's the point in that?

Actually that's the US spec wiring diagrams. There are differences even between that and the UK, like the US has a clutch switch for example. The ECU pinouts are also different (not by much mind), MAF vs MAP for example. Still, they're pretty good for most purposes.

It's the bit that goes at the top of the opening inside the front bumper that forces air through the rad rather than it going up under the bonnet. Good to see you're brave enough to use a self portrait as your avatar btw...

All very well having an intercom, but if all you get across it is "mumble mumble mumble MUMBLE ARGGHHH!" doesn't help much! Not completely sure, but I think that's the Bike approval. To be really sure you need one that's BSI BS 6658-85 Type A approved, or FIA approved as that's what track days in theory insist on. Can't see them checking in practise, but you might as well get a Type A approved one. They're all probably as good as each other, it's just that some of the bike ones they won't have bothered submitting it for anything other than the bike approval test.

Aha! I've asked this one in the past too. They are clips for the red flare that cars carry in Japan - sort of an equivalent of a warning triangle.

You could in theory have a test conducted to the appropriate Directive standard (Directive Test) for CO2/Fuel Consumption which is the area you need for post 97 cars. There's only a couple of places that do them, they would be very expensive I suspect and I think the basic problem is that the TT Supra just wouldn't pass, and nobody is going to risk importing a car only to find out it can't be registered.

I think it's from 1st Jan 97, so you can't import a 97 car.
