  1. Great stuff, I'll have to order some of those. Then maybe people will stop saying "Look at that, he's got Lexus wheels on there...".
  2. Me too, top job as usual Rosie. Roll on November...
  3. Have to say I much prefer non-photoshopped pics (at least for anything other than cleaning the pics up a bit). I've yet to see one that doesn't look "wrong". Some of the German ones were OK, but still looked artificial.
  4. She does have a particularly fine arse. Although of course although she claims it would beat Kylie to 200mph that doesn't actually mean... oh sorry, wrong thread...
  5. Hehehe, wonder if anyone will have the balls to get a boost controller on there and turn the boost up! *gulp*
  6. The number they gave me was PZ439-10670-2K. I think that is a Toyota/Lexus number though - they said they weren't allowed to send them direct and asked me to order that number from my local Toyota, which is what I did.
  7. Don't get me wrong, it is of course a mighty impressive achievement. The gearbox is apparently incredible. But the F1 was designed to be the ultimate car regardless of cost. That was the only design criteria. The Bugatti had to have 1000BHP, and had to go 250mph, and had to have a fancy double clutch sequential gearbox etc. It was designed as a marketing exercise to beat the F1s stats, not because that was the best way of doing things. I mean, what's the point of having to turn the engine off and activate a special mode that sacrificies all its handling to get top speed? Only to beat a record, not to produce a better car. I just wish they'd started with a blank bit of paper and thought "right, lets build the best car possible with today's technology". Then it would be truly amazing. I would expect an F1 to murder it round a track btw, it's far too heavy.
  8. The McLaren seats 3. I'd take a F1 over a Bugatti any day. The Veyron is faster, but not that much faster. The point with the 125mph head start thing is that the Bugatti would beat the F1 to 200mph, and beyond, but by that time the F1 would be miles ahead on the road and it would take ages to catch up.
  9. Yeah that's right. I wonder how long a Supra would take to empty its tank at Vmax. The marketing stat I hate about the Veyron though is that one that Clarkson trotted out saying that if you give a McLaren F1 a head start and wait until it's doing 125 you will have caught up by 200. You will both be doing 200 at the same time, but up until that point the McLaren will still be pulling away. And after then you're only going to be catching slowly. So its not anywhere near as impressive as it sounds.
  10. That's the stuff I've got now, it's very good. Much much better than the cheapy aluminium stuff I had before. The only trouble is where you want a small bit for side vents or whatever. Because it's woven small patches tend to fall to bits. It's a right sod to fit too, tough to bend and bloody sharp!
  11. Nice one Gerry & Sue, forum grandparents, LOL! Congrats!
  12. That's right, I emailed TTE and asked for the part number. The number they gave me turned out to be for rubbish plastic ones - they were a special order though, so I couldn't take them back! Mind you, I didn't have a pic to send them. Nightmare losing one though, especially as I have a set of proper bolts in a jiffy bag ready to send to you here! Couldn't get to the post office in the week, sorry about that!
  13. I've got ones you can borrow if you need them for MOT, don't want to sell them though!
  14. The drain plug is on the drivers side of the sump, no need to take off the undertray. In fact you can do it without jacking up the car if you lie on your back and reach under. Filter is a PITA, easiest way without a ramp is from the top - take out the battery, unbolt the power steering reservoir and stick your arm through. Oh, and stick a plastic bag round it, then when you undo it it will fall into the bag and you won't get oil everywhere.
  15. You think that's bad, there's an office of Seimens there too...
  16. No worries, was having the sort of day where I wanted a moan yesterday anyway...
  17. Well you learn something every day on here, I never knew there wasn't supposed to be one, thought mine was missing! I wondered why I couldn't find a part number for it on the EPC, doh!
  18. Not the record if it was a BMW. The overall record is still held by Stephan Bellof in a Porshe 956 back in 1983 in 6m 11s. The current production car record is held by Michael Vergers in a Radical SR8 6m 55s. Before that it was the EDO Porsche GT2R I think.
  19. Actually I need a new rear one myself! I bought a new front passenger side inner wheel arch not so long ago from Toyota, can't remember how much they were, but not that cheap IIRC!

    Top Gear

Do you mean "On days like these" by Mat Monro, as used in the Italian Job?
  21. Hey Laz I thought you were going to engineer some, or were you not a "proper engineer", LOL!
