  1. Pretty sure that's not a standard colour. Quicksilver is kind of half way between silver and gunmetal (or greenish grey or whatever).
  2. That's weird, that's the first pic of "grayish green" aka gunmetal that actually looks a bit green. I've never seen even a trace of green in it before in real life or in pics. In fact I always wondered what the hell Toyota were doing calling it grayish green in the first place.
  3. The ones on the side of the front bumper are side indicator repeaters, instead of in the wing like pre-facelift cars. The ones on the side rear bumper are just running lights, they come on when the lights are on. EDIT: Damn, beaten to it again!
  4. Yeah, but if you're turning the key to position 2 from off and then going to have a look at the fuel pump voltage and expecting it to be on it won't be, that's what I'm getting at.
  5. The fuel pump on the Supra doesn't run until you are cranking the engine, so it won't run with the ignition on unless you jumper the diagnostics port as Ian says.
  6. Here's a better pic to see the colour.
  7. Definitely have one of these Col... 1) Paul 2) Pete 3) JohnA 4) Pixelfill 5) Terawua 6) SteveR 7) Colsoop. Please 8) Supraloopy. Please 9) Weinelm. Yes Please. 10) Pig, Thanks 11) Smarty 12) SimonB
  8. Not the best pic, and not exactly stock, but you get the idea. Mine is a RZ, but same dash.
  9. Well I'm planning on using a duct in the place where the SMIC normally is to duct air into the bottom/side of a sealed box with the filter in. Plus the normal feed from the area in front of the radiator. Shouldn't be too hard. You can easily get ducts and hose from places like Demon Tweeks.
  10. Just have a look on their website, they have a full internet shop. http://www.thinkauto.co.uk
  11. Thanks, that'd be great. The part no is 1405-RA019, or 1405-RA020 (there are the same with different spring rates).
  12. I'm after a HKS 50mm wastegate, the one with the rectangular inlet flange, not the S/S one with the square flange. HKS have stopped making them but I thought someone may have one still in stock or surplus to requirements?
  13. And I thought it was a Garret GT35R hybrid?
  14. Don't worry, she'll be older by the time it's finished! *ducks for cover*. Seriously, happy birthday Rosie, have a great one!
  15. Here's some of my in car videos from last year to get you all in the mood... http://www.simonb.org/videos/FlyingLap.wmv http://www.simonb.org/videos/Boneyard.wmv Please right click and save as.
  16. Last year they didn't check cars going out, but several people with singles were asked to stop for being too noisy on the circuit. Paul Whiffin was one of them IIRC. 98dB is pretty low.
  17. Trouble is it's very easy to round off the alen key socket. In fact both of my front links were impossible to get off without doing this. Had to buy new ones and resort to mole grips on the ball part.
  18. You'd be pretty lucky to get the damn things off without knackering them anyway if you were breaking a car. They're the invention of the devil I'm sure! Why the hell the front ones don't have a flat bit to grab to let you get the nuts off I'll never know.
  19. It is definitely separate. Not sure if it would fit or not, but I expect it would if you drilled some holes to mount it.
  20. That's not the only difference, the facelift bumper has holes for the side repeaters, which are on the wing of pre-facelift cars. Also since the facelift sidelights are in with the indicators, the mount for those will probably be different.
  21. Pennsylvania 65000 is a song by Glen Miller. If I remember my totally useless trivia correctly it was the phone number of the hotel the band stayed in. It might have been in a musical later I guess, but it was deliberately the phone no of the hotel in the original.
  22. Damn, beaten to it! Great minds and all that...
  23. Ok, lets see... If you've got dials in the A pillar they're not standard, they are aftermarket, so they could be anything, most likely boost and oil pressure or temp. The flare like thing is indeed a flare! Japanese use them sort of instead of a warning triangle. Normally they get taken off before the car gets shipped over here and you're just left with a couple of clips which everyone asks about!
  24. Static pressure is supposed to be set & measured with the pressure hose disconnected, and ideally without the engine running. If you have it connected up the pressure will be less because you're in vacuum. The manifold pressure may change as the engine warms up because the idle does. So the first thing to do is check the pressure with the hose off and engine not running with a wire between the FP and +B terminals of the diagnostics port (that will run the fuel pump) with a warm and cold engine. Stock pressure is 40psi static.
