  1. That's the one I used to have, I had a sprung hub one with a lightweight flywheel. It was great apart from the fact that the disc cracked where the springs were mounted. Looking at it afterwards you could see it was a really obvious weak point. So I'd stay clear of the sprung one, but then you have a standard flywheel don't you so I guess you wouldn't want a sprung one.
  2. Hey that means that since I already wished you a happy birthday in this thread I don't have to again right? Oh ok then, happy birthday!
  3. Yep, stock rail. No need for dual feeds or anything at this level.
  4. It's a standard bumper but with a painted lip.
  5. No mate, look at my post above your reply, I bought some off him after posting the original question and posted up to say I'd got some before you replied! I was just taking the piss...
  6. Errrr, I did already!
  7. Why thank you! I still haven't made the actual air box itself yet, I bloody hate making cardboard templates, especially when it's an awkward shape where the pipe goes in at an angle! I always get impatiant and cut too much out and then have to start again...
  8. I buy stuff from the US a fair bit, it's easy to forget the reason it's cheap is because you generally more or less avoid import duty & VAT, which of course you have to pay as a trader. Import duty is around 4-8% depending on what it is, and that's on the amount including shipping, then you pay VAT on that total (again including the shipping).
  9. I've been there! Had to do exactly the same thing when I changed my front discs, one of the caliper bolts on the passenger side I couldn't budge and I was starting to round it off so I had to change the driver side disc and pads back again and take it down the garage! Then I went out a bought a great big breaker bar from Halfords for next time! Sometimes you just can't get enough leverage without it being up on a ramp.
  10. Chris Wilson has offered to sell me a couple, so I'm sorted cheers. The car's ok, one of my new injectors seems to be knackered though so I've had to swap back to the old ones for now which means I won't be able to run full boost until I get that sorted. Haven't mapped it yet either!
  11. Anyone know where I can get hold of a couple of 3inch round 2 bolt exhaust gaskets? Should be pretty generic. The one between the back box and mid pipe of my Blitz exhaust fell to bits when I took my restrictor ring out the other day, and I need one for between the 2nd decat and exhaust too.
  12. Well, it's all back together and I've been for a quick shake-down drive. Boy is it loud! I was taking it easy as it's not mapped yet but it sounds awesome! Unfortunately I couldn't map it as the battery in the laptop is knackered and only lasts about a minute! So it's off to Halfords tomorrow for an inverter then I can get it set up for lowish boost at least until I sort the bloody injectors out!
  13. I traced it down to no.3 by taking the coil pack connectors off one by one. Couldn't see anything wrong so I swapped my old injectors back in. Did it without taking the manifold off, cheers Lee. Took me a lot longer than half an hour mind! A couple of the injectors were a right sod to get out. Anyway, it runs fine with the originals back so I guess I've got a duff injector. Can't understand how since they were cleaned and tested before I installed them - it's the correct resistance etc too. Oh well, guess I'll have to get it tested again. Time to crank up the fuel pressure again in the mean time!
  14. Hmmm, not so good today. It doesn't want to run properly with the new injectors in - it's misfiring for some reason. I checked all the injector connectors which all seem fine. Then I suspected the EMU as it popped up a warning about CH3,4 and 5 ignition inputs being incorrect. So I checked I'd wired them in the correct sequence and tried bypassing the ign connections (i.e. left the EMU out of the loop) but that made no difference. Also tried using airflow correction instead of injector correction, going back to an older firmware (1.09 from 1.14). The injector connections to the EMU all look fine. I'm pretty sure the injectors are OK, they were flow tested before I fitted them. So I'm a bit baffled, I think I'm going to have to pull the intake manifold off again tomorrow and see if I can find anything wrong - if all else fails I'll have to refit my old injectors, I need the car on Tuesday!
  15. Great stuff, when there's a game on the roads are nice and clear for a good thrash...
  16. Yeah but that was days ago, I'd forgotten the pain of trying to undo bolts with no room! Had a bit of trouble with the one near the back with a couple of hoses passing through because I was too lazy to take them off . Plus I dropped one of the rubber insulator jobbies off the old injectors down into the depths of the engine and had to fish it out! Going to get the det cans out tomorrow I think! I'm planning on using the automapping feature on the Emanage Ultimate too to help sort the fueling out, we'll see how that goes.
  17. Some more progress - yesterday I took my intercooler piping off again and cut a couple of the pipes down slightly to make sure the pipe entering the intercooler doesn't stick forward and foul the bumper like it was before. Also rigged up my cold air duct - well mostly anyway, it's ghetto at the mo as you can see from the pic! Then I put the bumper and various other bits back on, and squeezed all my new wiring under the ECU cover! Today my new fuel hose turned up so I fitted my injectors. What a PITA that job is! Couple of really annoying bolts on the intake manifold! Anyway, as the pic shows I've now got a nice set of yellow Power Enterprise 650cc injectors fitted. I ordered a new hose to go from the rail to the pressure reg because the old one was looking very perished, as you can see from the pic. Not sure why, it's only been on there a year or so but it looked knackered. So took the opportunity to change to braided fuel hose and tidy up the reg mounting. Finally put my dash back together, so all I need to do now is sort out my DIY air box and map the thing!
  18. I think it's more because on a brand new setup it would take oil a while to make its way through your new pipes and arrive at the turbo inlet for the first time. After the air is out of the oil system after the first time you've run it you'll get oil flow at the turbo inlet very quickly.
  19. There's also a pretty big rubber grommit almost under the passenger seat which is what I used to route the wires as it comes in in a handy spot for the ECU etc.
  20. What I do is every couple of years when it would normally be time to buy another car I put the extra money I would have spent on a new one into upgrading the Supra! Good excuse for modding anyway!
  21. Hee hee, happy birthday mate! Lock up your daughters tomorrow night then! And your sons too knowing wsb...
  22. Yep, the gauge ones are fine. I almost bought one of the add on gauges for mine just for that output but it was easier to get an Innovate one in the end. Can't help you with the signal harness, can mkivstore not get them? Otherwise Mohd in the US will send you one - bit of a pain and expense for just that though!
  23. A 12 stone passenger is going to weigh about 5% of the car's weight. That's like having 5% extra power when they're not there. Should notice that just about! Carbon bonnets are not a great weight saver BTW, the standard aluminium one doesn't weigh that much, and the carbon ones seem to be layed on fibreglass and weigh pretty much the same apparently.
  24. The standard electric seats weigh an absolute ton. The standard Recaros are much lighter, and lightweight race seats even lighter.
