  1. Not really. For now I've done what I would have on the Blue, used the airflow adjustment to take out fuel and the injector map to add it back in. Something's not right though, I have a feeling it might be the EMU itself that might be dodgy. I'm hoping to swap in somebody elses temporarily at some point and see if I get the same problem.
  2. Where do people attach the mic for their det cans? I guess the stock knock sensor area would be best but you can't get to it. I stuck mine on the engine hook on the intake side but you get loads of injector noise and general clatter there.
  3. Happy birthday mate!
  4. Yeah, that's normal, but whiny 2nd isn't as everyone else has said.
  5. They're all wrong wheel drive too...
  6. Terry has basically the same turbo as me, a Garrett GT35R. It should be good for 600bhp, just about. Mine is a .81 A/R, you can also get a 1.06 A/R housing. Or you could go for a GT40R, that'll easily manage 600-700 I would think. Mine on stock cams with no real ignition advance mapped in yet is at full boost at 3750rpm, it starts making decent boost around 3000.
  7. Last time we had a meet there wsb2 got a bit lost . And I got in big trouble from Genna for eating the last steak . Good place though.
  8. Probably, but it'd be next to impossible to wrap given the amount of crap in the way and design of the pipework I would think. Thermotec is the stuff I used, along with the spray that seals it.
  9. Oi, wsb2, you want to get this in the calendar mate or I'll probably forget all about it!
  10. In theory it ought to because when the exhaust gas cools it slows down and you want it flowing away as fast as possible, especially before the turbo. Dunno if you'd notice anything in practise. I don't think any of the coatings work as well as sealed heat wrap.

  12. With the EMU there's a USB driver that you have to install after the main software with the unit connected up. When you plug it in it should come up with the "new hardware detected" thing. You then tell it where to find the driver and install it and it should connect.
  13. I probably won't be there until a bit later, but let's face it, you'll all be in the bar right?
  14. Here you go, real thread from the past that one...
  15. Oi, I'm staying at the Travellodge and I'm not a northern monkey! Can't get more Southern than me, feeling all offended now, being accused of being a northerner...

  17. Impact wrenches are for undoing bolts, not doing them up. You need a torque wrench.
  18. Just look on their website, everything in the catalog in on there. I've got an old copy of the printed one chucking around here somewhere.
  19. Think he meant for servicing rather than buying. Triton don't really sell cars (they do import a few Scoobies).
  20. Triton are the garage to use, on the airport industrial estate. Check out the FAQ section for the rest...
  21. I got mine from Demon Tweeks, part no 62-1360, it was £18ish.
  22. I think the Echo and Response ones from Tracker have a key card that you have to carry seperate from the keys. If the car moves without it they get alerted. I guess they still have to phone you up to check you haven't just left it at home though.
  23. Yeah, but by the time they've checked with you that it's been stolen and started tracking it it could well be in a transporter, or parked in a garage. Tracker do one called Echo and one called Response that both look the same to me except Echo is bit more expensive. Anyone know the difference?
  24. I'm thinking about getting a tracker. I've never bothered before because I figured if the car got stolen the insurance covered it and I'd just buy another. But the more work I do on it the more I think how gutting it would be to have to do all that again. Plus it'd be pretty hard to find another 97 RZ! Anyway, anyone got any recommendations? I like the Tracker systems because they don't rely on just GPS which seems too easy to block by loading the car into a transporter or whatever. They're got various different ones though, Monitor, Echo etc.
