  1. Depends where your sensor is. Temps are quite a lot lower in the bottom of the sump than by the oil filter for example.
  2. Excellent, I'll have that off you then mate.
  3. Bit of a weird one, but you haven't got the scissor jack have you? Mine seized up a while back and I haven't got round to getting another one yet.
  4. Lovely cars, but come on guys, we want pics with something a bit more interesting than a wheely bin or garage door in thr background! Perfect excuse for a weekend drive to somewhere with a nice view...
  5. Here's the one from on the way to Le Mans this year,
  6. Yeah, that would be me! Didn't even spot you, sorry mate! I blame the weather, it followed me up...
  7. I think the main reason is it's easier to fabricate a pipe that's almost the same as a standard pipe for the twins than fabricate a whole new one. So that's what most people did.

    HSBC Website?

Just paid my bills on there, works fine for me.
  9. Best way to stick them on is obviously make sure the area is clean, then wet it thoroughly with soapy water. Then when you put it on you will be able to slide it around to get it perfect. Then use a squeegy to squeeze the water out starting from the middle.
  10. Got mine from GT graphix. I can't seem to find their website atm though...
  11. Best thing for cutting aluminium sheet is a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade.
  12. It was at the Festival of Speed on the PPC stand, along with their track day Rolls Royce. Great bunch of guys actually, I love these crazy things where sombody just says "I know, lets see if...".

    parcel shelf

No parcel shelf, just a bit of fabric that attaches to a pair of clips on pull out elasticy things on the boot lid.
  14. Sombody has been lazy and stuck a mph dial over the kph one instead of converting it properly. You need a kph dial (the stock one is probably behind your mph one) and a speed convertor. Get a decent one that has a 1:1 output too or your speed sensitive power steering will be wrong. The Thor one is the one to get.
  15. Have a look on the VIN plate at the axle code. It's on the same line as the transmission code, there should be two groups. The first is the transmission, A340E for an auto or V160/161 for the manual. The next bit (something like A01A) is the axle. The last letter will be A for a standard diff or B for a LSD.
  16. According to the tech manual it is 49Nm for both drain and fill plugs. Must admit though getting the torque wrench out for that one's a bit much even for me!
  17. Probably a good idea, friend of mine knew someone that did that trying to set a good score the second time but unfortunately found a policeman behind it the second time. Oops!
  18. It always amazes me more people aren't injured watching rallies. First rule of rally watching - make sure there's a tree handy to hide behind if required!
  19. If you had a lightweight fly you would probably know about it. They cause the gearbox to rattle very loudly at idle, especially when hot. Clunking on pull-away is pretty normal for the 6sp box, with the stock flywheel or not. Probably worth changing the gearbox oil, as often the wrong stuff gets put in. You should use V160 oil only from Toyota.
  20. Just ordered my ticket, this looks so cool!
  21. Those are different from mine, so can't help you there mate. I don't think I've got any left anyway, I gave loads of sets away to various people!
  22. It will probably be appearing at JAE this year too...
  23. I have type 1 diabetes, have since just after my 18th birthday 13 years ago. Mattanna has pretty much covered it, I am on the same system as him, one long acting insulin before bed and three rapid acting ones. You get used to it fairly quickly. You get pretty good at estimating how much carbohydrate is in the stuff you're eating to work out what dose of insulin you should use. I carry some glucose tablets, and always make sure there are some in the car. People do sometimes say "Ooo I could never do all those injections", to which I reply "well then you'd be dead in a couple of weeks!". It's not a big deal really when you're doing it yourself. It's only a small bit of the pancreas that goes wrong, the rest is still fine so it shouldn't make any difference to your immune system. However it's a fault in the immune system that causes it to attack that bit of the pancreas in the first place. The reason they tell you to have flu jabs is that it's hard to keep your sugar levels correct when you're ill - they go screwy and you have loss of appetite etc.
