  1. Sorry, I disagree with that. If you uprate the front only you will get major understeer. Uprating the anti-roll bar won't have any effect on "getting the power down". Anti-roll bars only affect suspension loads on cornering. Too stiff and you can lift an inside wheel but it'd have to be very stiff indeed. You also lose some of the independance of the suspension, so if one wheel only hits a bump it's like having stiffer suspension and can be a bit more skittish. I'd go for the TRD ones (and in fact I have! ) they are a big improvement on track without being skittish and harsh on the road like stiffer suspension is.
  2. LOL! The beemer is the Le Mans beer wagon . Think we're going for something different this year like union jack flames on the side or something. Is this a better selection of cars? http://www.alexgoss.com/Le%20Mans/Le%20Mans%202005/Life%20On%20The%20Campsite/slides/DSC_4891.jpg Some more of the Supra with the stripes on: http://www.alexgoss.com/Le%20Mans/Le%20Mans%202006/Car%20Prep/slides/DSC_7268.jpg http://www.alexgoss.com/Le%20Mans/Le%20Mans%202006/Driving/slides/DSC_7321.jpg
  3. It's the size of the threaded fittings that connect up to it. Dash 6 is a fitting for 6/16ths of an inch internal diameter hose (i.e. 3/8ths). Dash 10 is for 10/16ths of an inch or 5/8ths internal diameter hose. You will want -6 unless you have a crazy humungous fuel setup.
  4. You can buy a Koyo for only slightly more (299), and that's a well known brand that you know will fit and work well.
  5. I've got one, they're really nice bits of kit. I had it connected up to my E-01 to display the reading, but then I got rid of that and bought one of the gauges. I never used it to emulate the narrowband sensor, but both outputs are fully programmable so it ought to be fine. You might have to do something with the heater wires for the stock sensor, the ECU might flag an error code if they're not connected.
  6. Yes, it should work, the only problem may be that the standard location for the O2 sensor is very near the exhaust header, and the wideband sensor has a max temperature rating. You'd probably be ok though. Oh, and you don't want the LM-1, you want the LC-1 which is the same but doesn't have the display/datalogger bit and is cheaper.
  7. You really don't want to use harnesses on the road all the time anyway - you can't look behind you, lean forward to look at junctions etc. In fact if you have them very tight, which is the only way you should ever have them or they can be very dangerous you can hardly move at all. Just leave the normal ones in too. The harnesses with plastic push button release (like the standard ones) tend to be road legal, the quick release turn ones with metal buckles are not.
  8. You'll need something a fair bit bigger than a GT35R for 600rwhp. Doubt you'd make that with a T67 either, or a GT4088. You're not going to get full boost by 4K either (although this of course depends on which gear you're talking about).
  9. Still a cock though isn't he? No question he was a brilliant driver, which makes it even more of a shame he felt the need to cheat... And DC the most technically brilliant driver? Come on, he's a good solid driver, always has been. He's not brilliant though, he just hasn't got that last bit needed to be an exceptional driver. A bit like Fisi, Button etc. Mind you, he did give F1 one of the funniest moments ever when he crashed in the pit lane. And I still remember watching him crash on the formation lap, that was pretty funny too! Very impressed with Hamilton, I think Alonso had him covered though, but he's not going to have it easy this year that's for sure! Looks like his Dad is going to be the new Button's Dad too...
  10. The trac system is only tied into the brakes on UK/US spec cars, so you don't need to worry about that as you have a Jspec. There's nothing in the ABS system to bleed either.
  11. Possibly not, but it would look a bit odd with different calipers and disks front and rear I think.
  12. Yeah, that's the ones. Bit suprised I hadn't heard anything about them before.
  13. Came across a thread on Supraforums about big brake kits and it appears that AP have finally got round to releasing a kit for the rear of the Supra if anyone is interested. I can only find anything about it on a US site, but it looks like they are now doing a 6 pot 14.25" front and 4 pot 13" rear. There's no mention of it on APs website, but the US distributor has them listed. Anyone know anthing else about this?
  14. They had it at the Festival of Speed this year, running every hour or so, pretty cool.
  15. The viscous fan is virtually no drag when it's not needed. Plus electric fans are much less efficient as you need the alternator to convert rotation to electricity, which is not that efficient, and then the fans convert it back to movement, which again is not 100% efficient. So you're not going to make any power gains, probably the opposite. You do free up a load of space though.
  16. Here is the one I've got:- http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm I've got the superclamp with ball leveller.
  17. There's nothing wrong with the B&M now. The original version had a design flaw but the current one is fine. Mine's been installed for a couple of years now.
  18. That heatshield's not going to do anything. You need to make sure that any air sucked in comes from outside - and that's a lot of air. Best bet is to make a proper enclosure and duct it or go stock - it's not a restriction on the Supra.
  19. Yep, that does sound weird... Maybe it's remembering an era when nobody had mobiles. Or maybe it's because nobody ever phones me. sniff...
  20. Bullet cams are the future here. I got one to film our usual trip to Le Mans this year and it's brilliant. You just stick it anywhere with the suction pad and you get some brilliant angles. I did on the door looking at the front wheel, on the door looking backwards (great for burnouts), on the front bumper (great for a sense of speed). They're about a hundred quid.
  21. I just can't understand what could be so important you need to be on the phone while driving? Just wait until you get to where you're going. When you're driving you should be concentrating on one thing, driving IMHO. Hands free kits are not that much better than a normal mobile I think, you're still distracted.
  22. They look a lot like Continentals.
  23. No no no no no. And once again no! Sorry mate, the red looks terrible IMHO!
  24. Aston Martin has a long history of bankrupting it's owners, let's hope Prodrive don't go the same way. They say the best way of making a small fortune in the car industry is to start with a large fortune!
  25. It won't be the trac control as you have a Jspec and it's only connected to the brakes on UK/US. Have you got the anti-squeel shims on the back of the pads? If so take them off and see if that improves things, they can cause a bit of sponginess. Plus check for leaks and bleed 'em again I guess.
