  1. Don't forget throwing coke all over yourself and having to dry your jeans under the hand dryer and being deprived of your steak by me...

    F 1

I place Button in the same category as DC, a good solid driver but they haven't got that last bit that makes an exceptional driver. Hamilton does, you can see it straight away in his attitude on track. Must admit I'm getting pretty fed up of the entire TV build up and after-race stuff being about him though.

    F1 Tyres

Yeah that's the one. Because there's only Bridgestone supplying tyres this year & they still wanted people talking about tyres they introduced a rule where there are two different compound tyres (everyone has the same) and you have to use both in the race at some point. The white stripe is on the option tyres so you can see who's on what, as usually one type will be slower than the other. Indycars have a similar thing with red sidewalls.
  6. I think I remember someone saying new coolers are very expensive from Toyota, so if it's gone you'd be better off getting a generic Mocal oil cooler and fitting that.
  7. They don't usually come with return flanges, and they are different for different families of turbo. My old GT35R return flange was not the same as the PT67DBB one, but the PT one is the same as the other turbos made by them I think. The PT turbos come with the feed fitting, the Garrett ones don't and you have to buy it. What turbo is it?
  8. Where the actual return flange mates up to the turbo there should be a gasket supplied with the fitting - it's a normal gasket material. There's no need for anything else, it's not under pressure or anything. Then normally there is a -10 AN to NPTF fitting that screws into the flange - you should use some form of thread sealer on the NPT (i.e. turbo) end as it's a NPTF thread. I always use PTFE tape (of the correct grade), some people don't like using that.
  9. Damn! I was in 2nd 6 from the end and fell. Typical, just when it comes to the critical moment I fall over. Ah well...
  10. Blimey, hope I don't dissapoint! At least I'm attracting some attention somehow...
  11. I'm tempted to have a punt on myself . 20-1 at the mo, no. 15, Simon! Apparently I've been the winner of two good races this year but best form on softer ground.

  13. If you have a Jspec then just bung a small K&N filter on there. If you have a UK spec or VVTi with a MAF then you have to plumb it in.
  14. If you have to ask you haven't got one. If people come up to you all the time and ask what's broken you have a LW flywheel.
  15. Sensible... I believe they are >£300 new from Toyota
  16. Ok, still available, I've taken the fuel rail off now, so if anyone wants any of this lot on it's own they can. Also, I forgot I have a pressure tank too (the bit that pressurises the turbo actuators) if anyone wants one.
  17. Ok, another bit from my old engine, the starter motor. The engine it came off has done 75000 miles, it worked perfectly before it came out. Any sensible offers?
  18. Well a PT67DBB from Dusty came in less than £700 delivered not so long ago - prices may have gone up I guess.
  19. Saw a very nice stock looking auto at Triton lunchtime today. It had Cannonball Europe stickers on the rear quarter windows. They said it was in for a cam belt change. Quite a new one IIRC, T reg? It loooked very shiny, very nice .
  20. Yours wasn't the gunmetal one that was at Triton today was it? They said it was in for a cambelt change.
  21. The BL67DBB doesn't. Well, at least the Precision T67DBB doesn't which is the same turbo I believe. Also Precision have started doing them with compressor covers with 3 inch exits (i.e. to the intercooler) by default rather than the more normal 2.5inch slightly smaller covers, so if you order one of those it's worth stating which version you want. I thought I may have trouble with the bigger one but it fitted fine after adjusting my intercooler pipework and now doesn't need a silicon reducer on the end of my intercooler piping - you may be different if you have pre-made intercooler pipework. When I last looked the 4088R was a fair bit more dosh than the PT67DBB.
  22. Wow, that heat coating does look very nice! Pity it's so damn expensive.
  23. I've got a stock FPR. I may have the spacer, it depends if I manage to sell my intake runners and rail all as one or split them.
