  1. I've only got an RPM axis on my injector timing table, and it's pretty much 400 everywhere. You shouldn't need to arse about with it really I think.
  2. I was going to go up today and camp but I didn't because: a. It looked pretty wet. b. I got up too late c. I was very hungover... So I'll be heading up tomorrow. 5:30's a bit early though! 8 at South Mimms isn't it? There shouldn't be much traffic that time of the morning.
  3. Yep, I think that's right. When the aircon ECU wants to turn it on, it sends a voltage to the main ECU which then switches the A/C clutch line to ground. That switches the A/C clutch relay on which engages the A/C.
  4. It depends which input on the Motec you have it wired up to. It's one of the Sw ones, mine is on Sw In 3. You set that to air conditioner request. Logic polarity on mine is set to 1, and the AT low and high levels are set to 5v and 6v respectively. As well as the input you need to set one of the outputs to the aircon clutch. Again it depends which output you've got it wired to - mine is on Aux out 2 - you set that to A/C clutch. The parameters for the A/C clutch I have set to: On throttle pos 90 Off throttle pos 95 On RPM 5500 Off RPM 5800 Recover time 2 Polarity 0 Output mode 0 I can't say for sure those settings are right because my aircon has had a leak since before the Motec went in so it's never actually been tested, but that's what Owen's set up.
  5. Just turn up today, camp over, then leave in the morning and meet the convoy.
  6. That's going to be me this year, got a load of stuff to get rid of!

    Air con

If you do a search on here, there's a diagnostics thing for the aircon - you turn on the ignition while holding a couple of buttons and it flashes an error code at you. Can't remember the details now but it's on here somewhere...

    Weather For Jae

Ah you bunch of wussies! If I made it through Le Mans this year with it pissing it down I can manage saturday night at JAE! Come to think of it I have't had the tent out since...
  9. The fan and viscous coupling - basically the whole bit that bolts onto the water pump pulley.
  10. The answer is noise. It's a stupid brain teaser though...
  11. Damn, should have asked for more . Now sold.
  12. I have one if you want to make me an offer . Can bring it to JAE if you're going to be there, or post it out.
  13. I have a manual ECU for sale. I was looking for £75 + p&p, or I can bring it to JAE if you are going to be there.
  14. You could try threatening him with legal action for libel, which that clearly is.
  15. I particularly like this:
  16. I thought I'd finally finished doing stuff, but I've still got to: Get air con fixed (it's got a leak somewhere) Fit my power steering cooler I've been meaning to do for ages. Get a new front bumper as mine is cracked again. Sort out the intercooler piping as it's a bit too low. Fix my front wheel arch liners. Duct rad/fmic/bumper when I have a new one. Extract the bloody 12mm socket that's still rattling around in my side skirt. Get wheels refurbed. Get bootlid repaired where someone keyed it ages ago. Get rear quarter sorted out where a bit of laquer has come off. Fit big breather system when I get my cam covers. Stop the front of my stereo pinging off whenever I go over a bump because the catch has worn. Get a new exhaust that's not so bloomin loud Hmmmm, that list is longer than I thought...
  17. Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator, complete with: fluid filled pressure gauge fitting for stock fuel rail (very hard to find these days) 2 -6 female hose fittings (1 for the return, 1 for the feed from the rail) 2 -6 male male unions that go into the regulator -6 blanking plug (for the other unused port on the FPR) couple of hose clamps as I'm feeling generous mounting plate. All you need to fit is a bit of hose to go between the rail fitting and the regulator as my old one is a bit frayed. £125

    Rome

It's brilliant isn't it? Some of the swearing is particularly good . The first series was really good too, worth getting on DVD as they cut some of it for TV.
  19. Is it not on closed loop lamda control on cruise? It's pretty good on the Motec - mine has my wideband hooked up and is on closed loop all the time, but you can use the stock narrowband too for cruise and idle.
  20. Just use a bit of petrol on the o-rings to help them go in. Not sure what you mean about the mounting lugs. Do you mean the brackets that hold the rail on?
  21. You couldn't use the existing pipework - it's way too restrictive and you wouldn't get any other turbo to fit. So the hard (and very expensive) part would be making the pipework and valves. That's why nobody has done it.

    jaffa cakes

HM revenues & customs took McVities to court argueing that they were choccy biscuits and not cakes (choccy biccies attract VAT, unlike normal biccies and cakes). McVities argument was that cakes go hard when the go off and biscuits go soft. They also baked a big Jaffa cake to show they were just small versions of a cake. They won, so officially they are indeed cakes.
  23. That was the reserve. Was hoping for more, but hey, need to shift some of this stuff for cashflow reasons...
  24. Less than an hour left on ebay...
