  1. Nice pics Tim, you beat me to it! Can't be arsed to host mine anywhere, so I'll post 'em here...
  2. Probably just need balancing properly. Most cheapo tyre places have crap balancing machines that aren't very accurate, and they don't pay that much attention to balancing the rears in my experience. I also had a problem with a defective rear tyre a while ago. It looked fine, but it was so out of balance that you couldn't balance it up properly. They tested the wheel on it's own and it was perfectly balanced. The tyre got sent back to Continental who tested it and gave me a credit note. New tyre balanced up fine.
  3. Think I can probably drag myself out of bed by then...

    Servicing

There's Triton Motor Services over this way - bit out of your way though. I've used them for servicing and they fitted my exhaust and cat removal pipe and did a good job pretty cheap. 01202 571564 is their number, they're round the back of Bournemouth airport.
  5. Didn't you spend enough time looking at it from the outside when your keys were locked inside...
  6. Maybe next time we can have a competition to see how long it takes people to break into their own Supras. Seemed to draw a big crowd today when lust2lov did it anyway. You could get bonus points for most imaginative use of household implements...
  7. Yeah, it's one of those warranties that doesn't include anything subject to periodic replacement. I.e. everything
  8. Are you planning on exceeding 18mph this time?
  9. What did you make of it? Just for future interest really - looked like a decent bit of kit to me given that it can do fueling and timing, but then I know nothing about these things! I'm developing this very worrying interest in more serious upgrades as it gets nearer remortgage time... :flame Dev
  10. Well why didn't you say that before! Count me in
  11. What about the GReddy Emanage? That will do fueling (by fiddling the pressure signal as with the SAFC, and/or by intercepting the individual injector signals) and timing as well. You have to buy the relevant cable harnesses and software as well, which will cost you about $450USD from here. (I haven't got one or anything, was just reading about it the other day)
  12. I bought my car from them a couple of years ago! They seemed like a good place at the time, the director seemed like a good guy...
  13. Dunno what I'm doing yet. I drove up to Billing on the Sunday morning which meant getting up very early but no traffic at all apart from an M3 to play with . I definitely "made progress" shall we say... Should be about 2 hrs 40 travel time from down here Steve (at normal speed). Should shave some time off that though :flame Dev Might go up the day before though - haven't decided yet...
  14. Presumably you'd want to do the 12v fuel pump mod to go along with this to try and avoid the fuel shortages described...
  15. I was just browsing round MVPs site in the US, and it looks like they've finally got their clone of the old Fields harness available. This basically is a short bundle of wires with an ECU plug on either end. The idea is you can solder any electronic gubbins you want in to the harness on a bench, then just plug it in between the ECU and the existing harness, without having to hang upside down in the footwell cutting wires with 5cm of play in! Fields made the original one, but stopped a year or so ago. Would be very handy for anyone installing RLTC for example, or other ECU gubbins. Too bloody late for me as I've installed mine now, but for anyone else they're available from MVP Motorsports for $275USD.
  16. I just fitted a combined oil temp/pressure gauge in the clock location, from SPA. It's digital, so not great for reading on the move, and it's not the prettiest, but who cares, it's got warning and peak hold which is what you really want anyway.
  17. It's normal for the inside edge to wear more due to the camber on the stock alignment settings I think. It's the price you pay for extra grip when cornering. Worth checking alignment if it's really bad though. Here are the stock alignment settings and some suggested improved ones from mkiv.com.
  18. Oh yeah, that's it. Always get those two mixed up! You're better off without allocated spaces I reckon. For those that haven't been before, the road between Maison Blanche and Blue round about A7 on that map is known as "spin it" straight. A big crowd gathers there and pretty much forces anyone going past in a rwd car to do burnouts. Good laugh to watch, but wouldn't want to drive down it in my car! For tickets, try www.justtickets.co.uk. I'll have to find out where our usual bunch are planning on camping this year - not organised yet - but probably will be Maison Blanche.
  19. Yeah, but surely you could move that somewhere, or just put a smaller one on. Who needs to see where they're going anyway
  20. Just do Pete's relay mod, then both lights will be brake lights, and the inner ones will be fog lights only when you switch them on. Details here .
  21. Hmmmm, let's see. 45 gallons 55 US gallons = 207 litres. 1 L of toluene weighs 866 grams, so that's 179 Kg, plus the weight of the drum. Don't think you're going to be lifting that anytime soon! Yes, I'm bored....
  22. Here's a map of the campsites from last year.
