  1. Oi, cheeky b*stard ! I just prefer to actually be able to see if there's anything coming the other way before overtaking.
  2. Dunno yet mate, have to check to make sure none of my friends weddings are that weekend, very inconsiderate of them to all get married this year...
  3. Guess you're right thinking about it. I've got some sheet ally in the garage, maybe I'll stick a bit of that on for cosmetic reasons to stop it looking like there's a big hole in my throttle body! Thanks for the help...
  4. No problem there, I got rid of the trac ecu when I fitted my RLTC and took the bulb out to stop the flashing trac warning light. I've got the motor disconnected atm, but I think you'd need something to plug the gap? There's a metal plate bolted to the bottom of the motor that would hold the small round alu plug in place on its own I think, but it has a big hole in it. I think I might get a alu plate, cut it to the same shape as the motor mounting and bolt that to the metal plate and then the whole lot back on in place of the motor. Here's the hole in the throttle body where the motor goes:
  5. So what holes do the bolts fill then? Think I might make up an aluminium plate to go where the motor is and get that out of the way.
  6. How about the Lexus wheels there is a group buy shaping up on in the for sale section? Correct offset, lightweight and no loading on your insurance.
  7. Wasn't that the MR2 that overtook DangerousBrain...
  8. Top stuff, that's your best yet! Love the music syncing...
  9. Is that Z1s, Z2s or some other type of Technospeed? Oh, and what size are the rears, and I'll add 'em to the list. Roy, I've added the Azevs, don't suppose you have the offsets do you?
  10. First thing to check is the intercooler hoses, to make sure they haven't blown off. Most likely is the one that goes in to the intercooler down under the drivers side wing.
  11. Just fitted my trac butterfly removal kit, but I've got a couple of questions. First I thought the motor was removed, but it looks like this isn't the case, is that right? And with the kit there were four bolts, three small ones and a slightly longer one. What are they for? Couldn't see anything that needed a bolt ? Had a nightmare getting the screws that hold the butterfly plate to the bar out, they wouldn't budge and I stripped the heads and had to drill them out and then spend ages cleaning all the swarf out of the TB. Took me a while to figure out how to get the bar out as well before I realised a hammer was the answer

Yes they are, and you have to have your arms and legs covered as well. I think it's the same at pretty much all trackdays these days.
  13. Here's my pics. Here's a couple of DangerousBrain and PaulE on track... DB: Paul:

Nice one! You got that black GTIR overtaking me into the chicane. I could have easily collected him. He spun off at the next corner... I'll have a better quality version if that's ok?
  15. Great day! I think our area worked out pretty well in the end, loads of people walking by anyway. Good to see eveyone, some new faces too, and some I haven't seen for a while. Wayne was doing a good job trying to persuade anyone who walked past to buy a Supra, and his fiancee was busy chatting to just about everyone that came within a 2 mile radius! I too am completely toasted! Cool vid of me there Tim, got any more? The Supe performed superbly on track of course as usual, but I'm thinking an oil cooler might be on the cards. 128C oil temp at the end of the first session . Had to buy a new rad cap from Leon as my coolant was bubbling away. Great drive back home too down the A360 with DB. I'll post up my piccies later.
  16. Totally agree with Matt on this one. It's not going to save you if you lift off too much or brake in a corner, or go in too fast etc etc. Power oversteer probably only accounts for half of Supra spins I would think. In the wet it's superb though, you can overtake without fear. I drive my car every day to work, and you're not always on 100% maximum attack. It's a good safety net.
  17. Ok, someone has to ask. WTF did you put a teddy bear up your exhaust for ?
  18. So does that mean we all have to phone up and give our card details or are you acting as Team Bournemouth Massif guarantor Steve?
  19. For anyone that's got track time booked, the noise limit might be a problem. It's 100db measured 0.5m from the exhaust at 4500rpm according to the details I've got. I just measured mine, no cats, Nurspec WITH the baffle in at 106DB. It depends where they hold the meter I suppose, but it's gonna be close. Anyone got a way of quietening it down?
  20. I'd double check it if I were you, the site often gets the type of car wrong if you put just a reg no. in. It might well think you have a MkIII Supra or a UK car or something. Fine until you need to claim and they twist their way out of it.
  21. Haven't you got the info through then? They've sent me a pack for each session with the times, labels to stick in your car, where you're supposed to go, that sort of thing.
  22. They've said that to me in the past too. I asked them how come there are loads of people on here insured with them? It just depends on if you speak to a numpty or not when you phone. Try A Plan, they have a special schemes thing for Jap imports.
  23. By the way, the organisers said we can return to the club area after track sessions, we don't have to park in the track session car park. My first session is at 09:38, with the briefing at 08:15! How early! Looks like I might travel up the night before and stay at the Travelodge or something. Second one is at 13:26...
