  1. Can't think why it wouldn't be OK, as far as I know it's symmetrical and the hoses on each side are the same size.
  2. I don't think it would fit. The Blitz ones have a couple of mounts at the top that bolt on to a couple of holes in the frame. They are at the back so if you flipped it the intercooler would proably foul the radiator. Picture will show what I mean:
  3. Well, this might be answered somewhat at Billing, as I have a Walbro but no FSE and was planning on doing a dyno run at Billing. I never did one before fitting the pump though so nothing to compare with. I wanted to see what the fueling was like before deciding what to do with regards to FSEs, pressure regs, injectors etc.

  5. If you look on www.mkiv.co.nz under specs it lists the approx dates of manufacture for ranges of chassis number (only applies to J specs).
  6. Hello and welcome! You're the second Mid Life Crisis on here! £460 sounds more than competative, that's a bloody good quote I'd say since NAs seem to cost very nearly as much to insure as TTs.
  7. Cheers guys, sounds pretty normal then. I was expecting it to rattle at idle, but I hadn't heard anything about rattling when under load. As long as nothing is loose or knackered that's fine. It's not slipping at all anyway. It's a pretty good clutch actually, it only grabs occasionally and the pedal feels just like stock. I do like the response of the flywheel too .
  8. I've got a RPS lightweight flywheel and South Bend Kevlar clutch (sprung). It rattles at idle sometimes, which I expected and don't mind too much. However, the gearbox also makes a pretty loud rattle when you put your foot down at low revs (i.e. Does anyone else with a LW flywheel and sprung clutch have this? Could it be something that's not right with the installation, or a bearing or something or is it nothing to worry about? I don't mind the noise so much, as long as it's not something that's buggered!
  9. Weather's looking OK! Shall we meet up at the Avon Causeway pub just round the corner, then we can do a mini convoy to the place? Where's WhiteSupraBoy, would have thought he'd be up for this? Tim?

    Yellow supra

A 99 will definitely be a VVTi NA. The VVTi came in September 97, so you can have an R plate car with a non VVTi engine, it just means it was made in August 97 like mine.

    Yellow supra

Dunno about "chrome yellow", but you could get yellow ones, paint code 576:- http://www.simonshouse.plus.com/supracolours.jpg That's the facelift J spec colours you can get (silver and gunmetal have turned out a bit weird in that scan by the looks of it). Don't think I've ever seen an original yellow one though.
  12. There were well over 100 Supras at Billing last year, it was mad! The convoy in there was amazing, Supras as far as the eye could see in all directions!
  13. It flashes like this to tell you it's not working for some reason. You could check the connectors to the trac butterfly motor and position sensor under the bonnet. They are at the front of the throttle body each side just where the pipe from the intercooler comes in. Oh, and the plug that goes into the trac ECU, which is next to the main ECU under the cover in the passenger footwell. The switch doesn't click normally, so that's OK.
  14. Is that your normal advice there Brian?

  16. Might well go to this one, as long as the weather is OK. Think Dangerous could be up for it too.
  17. You want to talk to DangerousBrain on here, as he is doing the same thing. Do a search on TT transplant and you should turn up some stuff.
  18. Well, accoriding to mkiv.co.nz 323mm front, 324mm rear. Can't be arsed to measure 'em, sorry!
  19. Yeah, that's what I figured. Plus Pod is crap and likely to be very busy. Might pop over to Burnin Bournemouth though...
  20. And most importantly, thanks to you Rosie, for sorting it all out!
  21. Or there is a RWYB day at Santa Pod this weekend.
  22. I think it's the whole thing. It says something about the security not letting you in otherwise somewhere. There's always Burning Bournemouth to go to on Sunday instead, maybe we can all go and show up the Nova boys...
  23. Yeah, bummer isn't it? Still at least I noticed BEFORE we all turned up there having fought our way through an hour long traffic jam to get turned away at the gate! Maybe there will be another RWYB day later in the year? Last year's was in September wasn't it?
  24. Yep, and take the fuel pump fuse out (or the connector to the pump) and crank the engine a few times to depressurise the line a bit too...
  25. Ummm, guys I think we may have messed up here. I found this flyer. This weekend isn't the same RWYB day as last year I don't think. As John said earlier in the thread, this is a major show and it looks like you had to pre-register by the end of June to get in. Here is the website of the organisers.
