Gruggs replied to Gruggs's topic in Parts for Sale
I leave the country in 2 weeks time so feel free to make me an offer. I need to shift stuff before I go. Someone must want a cracking set of drag tyres now that we are heading towards the better weather. Cheers G -

No idea sorry - These were just always the advised ones when you were trying to run with UK rear brakes as the RX-7 alloys were one of the few smaller rims to fit clear the calipers. cheers G -

Hi Guys, Sorry for not responding sooner. I have been absolutely swamped in work especially now that by leave date has been brought forward by 6 weeks so I have been constantly working, my holidays got cancelled which is when I was going to finsih the car up last month. I understand you are all desperate for pics. I only just managed to get the car moved up to the workshop on Thursday so please give me over the weekend and Monday to get the car cleaned up etc. Would you put pics up or a car that has sat in the garage for the last 7-9 months, course not. You want to try and make it look its best. I thought I would have moved it sooner but didnt get the chance. Please bear with me, I will get pics. Pricewise I would be looking for £16k when it is complete but would be happy to shift on for £11k as i stands just now. Thanks G

Hi Guys, I will get pics as soon as I can at the weekend and get them up. I sat and had a little think about some of the stuff on the car. Hi Guys, Similar to my advert for the supra, needing to sell off my M5. It is a 2000 plate le mans blue with 105k on the clock with FSH. Black/blue interior, AC Schnitzer Sat Nav and controller, 6 CD changer and all the usual goodies. The car is completely standard apart from some uprated discs/pads/goodridge lines and fluid given the lack of braking suffered by most M cars. Its always had Castrol Edge specifically designed for the M cars since I have had the car and has been well looked after. Due to some scraps on the bonnet and general wear the car has recently had a re-spray and the alloys have been powdercoated a similar grey to the original. I can arrange for powdercoating to be done in any colour/shade if someone fancies a change. I will get some pics taken over the weekend and put up. Looking for about £8k for the car but happy to discuss. Thanks G

Hi Guys, I haven't been on the website in ages due to being completely swamped in work and a few other things. I have just accepted an offer of employment in Costa Rica and will be leaving the country in 3 months time, so unfortunately I am having to sell up all my possessions including the supra.(no doubt things like xboxs, PS3, TV etc will appear in the other for sale section soon enough) For those that know me its been a project for a number of years and due to my work commitments I havent been able to devote the necessary time to completion. I am aiming to get about 700bhp from the car and there will also be loads of items to go with the car including Mickey T's on Rx7 alloys and brand new 888's all round. I will pull together a full spec list for the weekend. My intention is that I will be able to get 2 weeks off from work early March to undertake the remaining work required to complete the car. I reckon there is about 3/4 days in completing the car ready to be mapped, although it could go right now if needed as a lot of the stuff outstanding is cosmetic [the car is currently Ultraviolet Purple but can be changed to suit]. Alot of leg work has also been put in by Ryan G in getting it ready for map and I will be contacting him with a view to arranging the mapping when I have taken care of a few other items. I am happy to discuss a price pre or post work & mapping with people given my limited timescale. Should have a spec list shortly. Feel free to contact me in the meantime if interested. Thanks G

potentially got my hands on two full getrag 6 speed conversions
Gruggs replied to Jurgen-Jm-Imports's topic in Supra Chat
is that price including labour and fitting? G -
Yeah as said its only as good as the training people have had. I've had back ups in to start their year end accounts and after 10 mins have gone back going "this is a pile of poo" give me your bank statements and let me go from there. I have other audit clients who operate it brilliantly and know how it all works. It really depends on your experience and desire to keep chipping away at it. Quick books is a good system, sounds more like the accountant doesnt know how to use that one. Sage is expense once you build in cover etc, there are a lot cheaper options available if you are operating at a small/medium size. I've actually just set up an online accounting package for my clients to use. http://www.beancounteronline.co.uk No plugs here then! G

Saw the first run of the day which looked a bit interesting from the way everything was twitching around on you. I'm sure that was fun in there.

Hi Guys, Its fairly safe to say that i've had an absolutely gutting last few days. We worked so hard to get the car ready with all nighters, all weekenders etc and finally managed it. We were due to head down to see Ryan on Wednesday for a mapping session and this is where the fun began. Tuesday 10pm - Oh crap! fuel pressure issue whilst loading car onto the trailer. Phew! just a fuel hose in the tank which needed tightened up. 12pm car on trailer all set for going at 3am. Wednesday 9.10am - 210 miles covered, 60 miles to go and disaster strikes, plumes of smoke from the front of the hilux. Pull over, inspect the car and the radiator is cracked near the top. Right fill it up with water in the car and limp to the nearest town which has a garage. We obtain a blowtorch and some heavy duty solder to try and repair the damage. Call Ryan to say running about 1/2 hour late, problem fixed and on our way. Bac onto the A1 only for the temps to shoot up again and steam to pour out. We had to pull over and this time it was too far to the next exit so we need to think about recovery. I call the mechanic who's car we were borrowing to get his recovery details. Oh wait, he has none. This is slightly annoying as we had asked him specifically before we left if he was covered as we had no personal cover but as we owned the surf before him we had a policy which actually expired on the Tuesday and we would have extended. So we are sat there with no breakdown cover and RAC, greenflag wanting £3 per mile for anything over 10 miles. So we get recovered back to the same garage. We then try to source a radiator whilst down there. They can get one for £400 but middle of next week. I phone up the road and he can get one for the afternoon to him. So we get a hire car, head the 200 odd miles back up the road to collect the radiator. We head back down for 9am thursday, radiator is fitted by 10am and we think we are on our way again to meet Ryan. This moment of joy was then smashed by white smoke out of the exhaust. The bloody headgasket had gone! :( It looked like game over at this point so we headed into harrogate to get a hire car to take us home. We couldnt get one until 4pm, so we think right 4 hours to kill lets go see a movie. The day was crowned off with us looking to see Transformers 2 and the only film fitting in time wise being Harry Potter. So two grown men go to see Harry potter with a bunch of kids. So in the space of two days I managed to get very little sleep, drive a large distance, spend a fortune of money, leave two cars including the supe at a garage in England i dont know and not have the car ready. To say that on Thursday i was at breaking point was an understatement! Me and Ryan looked to see if we could do anything on the Saturday but it wasnt going to happen so I wont be able to run. We've re-organised so that i can run at Suprapod. I just want to apologise to everyone, especially Brain, for not being able to compete. All the guys up here have worked extremely hard to get teh car ready and to be defeated in the manner we were is absolutely gutting. I'm just leaving now to head down and spectate and give some support to Matt and Dude, but i'll likely be an unhappy chappy. Thanks G

looks like i'm sorted. Thanks again.

brilliant - is it a universal gaitor or is there a specific one to order? Cheers G
