  1. what to think about. Contract wording and Tax (google IR35). You will appear to be earning lots more but you have expences, tax, possible VAT, accountant, slack periods, no paid holiday, insurances etc. Plan properly, save for the slack periods, check out sites such as the PCG (Professional Contractors Group) for advice, take out tax investigation insurance, plan again. And make sure you have a contract before handing in your notice. Agencies are useful (although I never used one when I was contracting - word of mouth) but just do some research first before signing up to one. Get good tax advice. Yes I've repeated several things and that's because they are important.
  2. Bump - this is on that auction site, and someones going to get a bargain, their gain, my loss
  3. Edited: Title should be 'Another Ebay message from Calibra_727' If your read This post then you will know that this person from Belgium (Calibra_727) has just bought one supra, now I get this question: Quote: hello, i would like to buy your toyota, but i need to contact toyota in belgium for the importation... can you please give me the frame number, than i can check tomorrow morning if it will be ok for the import??? thank you very much, and hope i can buy your car. calibra - calibra_727" He's either genuine or something dodgy may be going on. What are your thought please.
  4. Nearly did the same myself when using my itouch, luckily I noticed the decimal point was missing just before hitting the confirm button. Guess it depends in your case on whether the buyer will accept your explaination.
  5. Bump - sensible offers
  6. Good luck with the sale
  7. The sirens do pack in working. I can't find the link but do a google for clifford alarm problems. You will need a new siren iirc
  8. Now open to sensible offers by PM
  9. CAT D means there was no structural damage, that would have required a full check after repair.
  10. ANyway, well done on the sale, be careful, and do the test driving yourself.
  11. I believe that a transaction can be reversed but not exactly sure of how or when, haven't read all the rules about it.
  12. Well if he is dodgy he isn't going to say yes is he!
  13. Just done exactly the same, rechecked user name. Registerd since 2005 and resident in Belgium
  14. He asked exactly the same questions by the sound of it. I told him, arrange your own insurance, cash only in UK Pounds and I would have the bank accept the money before I parted with the keys. Also I would not give out VIN details. That can be checked on the day of the . Registered in Germany and not Belgium
  15. I've had exactly the same questions as well today, ebay name Calibra727. Could be a genuine buyer but just be extra careful.
  16. Liverpool and Victoria are also cheap (may be just because I'm an old git) and insure imports.
  17. Auto is very good, but I would say that wouldn't I
  18. Jurgen, sorry, I took it the wrong way.
  19. Have edited original post to add that it has a Clifford Concept 600 and Lifetime RAC Trackstar fitted. I don't know if this is transferable. Have original receipts for these.
  20. BCD Boost Cut Defender How long will one last, as long as you look after it and don't abuse it. My Granada Cosworth clocked up 235,000 miles before I sold it when I bought the Supra. There was a poll/thread some time ago asking people about their mileages. 139,000 miles / 15 years = approx 9270 miles/year. Personally, I've never been put off by mileage, I've seen plenty of low mileage cars that are very poor mechanical condition as I am sure most of us have. Why we are buying/driving 10-15 year old cars, firstly the build quality of the Supra is very good, the mechanicals/engine are very strong and the electrics also seem to last well. But I would say that wouldn't I as I am trying to sell mine. If I had a choice I wouldn't be. For any doubting thomas's I really do need to sell it, and next week you can buy my house as well as that has gone on the market this week as well. If no one on here wants it, then it will go on public auction and public advertising. Just thought I would give a member a chance first.
  21. Had no probs with the number plate on any MOT and yes I should have washed it.
  22. So what you are you suggesting, £5k too much. I don't think so. Yes it is registered CAT D as explained. And what it hit was a crash barrier head on at about 25.
