Hi guys, my son has a celica gt4 st185, how long do you think it should take to: Do a compression test, take the head off,(this obviously includes removing turbo,alternator,etc,etc,) remove and refit pistons,remove and refit valves,remove & refit crank and new big end bearings then refit the lot back together? My son has been charged 34hrs what do you think, didnt take me much longer than this to strip down my supra engine and check pistons etc but did not remove crank or valves.Only charged £25 an hour for labour so that was ok just wondered on time.Wot do you think?

alright everyone will any apexi power fc ecu fit the supra? is it just the harness thats different or the whole unit obviously it would need to be mapped for a supra cheers

cheers mate, was going for it but would of been much quicker if it was drier:) , also started to attract a bit of attention from outside of the tunnel so was going a bit cautious for boys in blue. cheers, Hope so did seem longer when we were doing it will do another when it dries out and maybe get some lookouts up and down the road so can really give it some.

Nothing starts up automatically like it does when i plug in my stills camera, you select pp thing. will not give you the option to save as any other only offers ppp? and cannot delete then save as another. What other programs can i use to load onto computer in correct format? should i be able to do this on movie maker only dont seem to work as said before recognises camera but then says camera not responding. Its so annoying thought it would be as easy as my stills camera but i am pretty useless with computers but my son dont seem to be able to get it to work on the existing programs which are on my computer. If not i will have to video roaring up and down the tunnel again using my stills camera in video mode,

Hi Jamie cheers hope you can do something with it, my son has sent it over on email i think, its just a little video of me going through local tunnel for a bit of fun,viewers may have to crank up the volume for full effect as was quite noisy in tunnel when my son was videoing. BTW your cars looking fuking excellent. Its a normal digital tape and yes it appears its the power producer thing that puts it in this format ? What do people normally use to load onto computer, from my dig camera it all goes ok but just downloads when i turn it on.

Have tried all these but maybe i need some software to install onto my computer? I have Power Producer 2 gold and have saved it onto here ok but it is saved as a .PPP ? file but this file format is not reconised by any of the web based video uploaders, ie:putfile, youtube, photobucket etc, help anyone

He has tried this but it comes up as an invalid file ppp ? any ideas

Hey mate what you doing smashing up my old car ? me and the misses feel bad having read this so how you must feel i dont know, it was such a genuine bloody good condition car, you must feel sick , i remember your face when i rolled up:) , at the train station to take you for a test drive, dunno what else to say i just hope it gets sorted ok, The alloys are lexus 300? alloys so you should be able to pick one up but it wont be cheap unless you can get one from a scrap yard. On my previous supra i paid an extra £50 for 18"s even though they were lexus alloys. If you are changing your insurance try Keith Michaels they were nearly £300 cheaper than Sky with every single mod declared with same part/make replacement, and agreed valuation. Speak to Jeremy.

Saw this at Alders Automatics about october time, just had trd wide body fitted and sprayed black, with new wheels about 15" wide and carbon fibre bonnet with vents. Also going to get work done on engine now or future ? With respect sean you got your first supra in july 05 and sold it about 3 months later, then got your blue one july 06 and sold it again 3 months later. so in two 3 month bouts of supra ownership you havent been spotted, does this not lessen your chances.

Yeah thought as much someone did once tell me it wouldnt matter but i have always covered the top of the air intake when it rained. Think i will just get a better looking stainless bit of kit made up that goes over the top of the intake as before as they do let loads of heat out. Cheers all.

Bit of a highjack here but one of my vents is directly over one of my air intakes and i normally cover it when its raining, if the air filter is sucking like a gooden, would it cause any problems if it also sucked in some water ?

btw. the clutch rattles quite alot but grabs like an ironfist...is that perfectly normal? Yes its normal for an uprated clutch to rattle, but if you up the revs on idle you can get rid of it, i have mine set at about 1100 rpm at idle and it does not rattle any more. BTW nice car bet your well pleased.

Just washed the sup ready to give it a polish, god it was cold out there but warming up a bit now. Got two willow trees to seriously prune with the chainsaw so better not cut my arm off else i wont be able to take the car for a spin later, when i go out looking for some fun.

I know but it will be fun trying BTW what ecu are you going for ? what do you expect the BHP to be when they are fitted ? Are you rebuilding/strengthening bottom end etc or keeping it turned down to about 600ish bhp ?

If things go to plan it should be quicker next year as the boost is turned down to 1.1 bar at mo, as need AEM or similar ecu, with 850cc injectors and twin fuel pumps etc, but with a few uprated internals the turbos can give in excess of 800bhp. Homer do you know who it was doing the videoing in the silver sup as i have not seen it, has it been put up yet ?
