I got this on the PC @ crimbo, looks the dogs and I also have a steering wheel/pedal combo so its a bit more realistic than using a joystick/keyboard. I've got several cars: Supra (won), Lambo Gallardo (won), Porchse Carrera (won), Evo VIII (bought), Punto (bought), Golf GTI (bought), clio v6 (bought). Im currently #6 on the blacklist, and Ive modded all the cars as much as I can do (until I beat #3 then I can get the final mods). I have to say the Supra is nice (specially with my extra token mods on)....but the Fiat Punto is without doubt the best car in the game...chavs must love it! I'd like to say the game is realistic, but my Punto handles better and has a higher speed than my Supe! The fastest car Ive been in on a good run was the Golf Gti (215kmh), my supra does about 190 and my Punto does more than that. Not exactly realistic, but love it all the same. To lose the cops, use the destructible objects in game (red triangles), use tunnels to lose the police chopper (level 4+) and use the 'slow down time' thingy to avoid SUVs (level 3+) and road spikes...its also handy for taking 90 degree corners fast without using the wall/buildings as a brake lol. If your short on cash for mods, simply re-race races/milestones you've already completed.

LANCASTER INSURANCE, Can my quote really be this good?!!!
Angarak replied to silvasurfa's topic in Insurance
lol, soz, I meant that for Angarak too! I was told they dont offer 3rd party on 'classic car' policies, but do on other policies. My policy specificly says no 3rd party cover on other vehicles, but I'd be happy to be wrong as I can give them a bell and see if they'll change it -

With a Lancaster Classic Car Policy, you are not covered for 3rd party to drive someone elses vehicle like you usually are with normal policies. As long as your a named driver on your girlfriends policy, you'll be covered to drive her car. -
I played the demo of COD2 and was disappointed with it, another over-hyped game IMO (like HL2 and Doom3). I also think it is still too linear (maybe it was just the demo). COD was the bee's knee's in its time due to the special effects, but they havents really made much of a 'leap' in COD2 from the original. Maybe FarCry spoiled me, as the only other good FPS recently was F.E.A.R * Sorry for trailing off topic a little *

Hi, Can anyone give me some information on these inline-filters shown in the pic below, such as: :: What are they there for? :: How often should they be replaced? :: Where do you get them from? If your thinking "this guy knows nothing about engines" you'd be right Cheers Simon

Theres no snow where I live at the moment, but there was back in November for a day...they day I had to take my Supra to Wigan to have a radio expander fitted (J-Spec Sup). All the main roads were gritted so no problem, however the road I live in wasnt and had about 2-3 inches of snow and several speed humps. I had to crawl down the road in 1st gear letting the engine indle revs pull me along. When I tried to accelerate the backend kept fish-tailing. It seemed to take forever, thank god there was no traffic behind me lol.

I paid via credit card, I have a friend who speaks fluent German, so I got him to order them for me (he phoned Florian directly). I believe Florian does speak English though, as his emails were written in English - I was just playing it safe asking my friend to place the order incase I didnt get through to him. Regards Simon

Hi Peter, I've corrected the website address in my post above: http://www.tte.de The contact info listed on their "Contact" page is: Regards Simon

According to the TTE website, the 10" wheels are for the rear axle only.

Good news everyone, I recieved my center caps this morning from TTE and they are the aluminium ones branded with the TTE logo. The Part No is AM27533. They are 16.57 Euro each and you must purchase them directly from TTE in Germany (http://www.tte.de) I purchased 4 center caps in the end (just the caps, no bolts to hold them on as SimonB sorted me out) and in total it cost me 83.77 Euros (including delivery to the UK). My contact @ TTE was: Florian Bachus ([email protected]) Tel: +49-(0)2234-1823691 Fax: +49-(0)2234-182332 Regards Simon

I think it means a suppliers contract with Halfords is only for 120 days, not a year, etc. If this is the case, I guess the supplier would have to do their best not to mess up any orders or else 'risk' losing their contract come renewal.
-
UPDATE: TTE just got back to me to confirm that AM27533 is an aluminium center cap with the TTE logo on it. I will order one today and let you know what I recieve.
-
Yes, Im asking them to confirm that the center caps are alloy/aluminium and not plastic. I've also asked SimonB if this was the same Part No he was given. Will keep everyone updated when I hear back from them. Regards Simon
-
Heres a reply from TTE: Hopefully this isnt the plastic one

Hi Si, I had this a couple weeks back, but upon switching off and switching on again, the light stopped flashing. I believe the TC can only be set on/off when the ignition is ON but the engine is not running. Check that your TC switch isnt depressed before you start up. Regards Simon

I think I've found a part number for the TTE center caps on the inside of one of the caps: AM27533. Will let you know when I hear back from TTE.

lol - I just tried some foam on top of the boot rubbers and it stopped my rattles, looks like Toyota will be selling quite a couple boot rubbers this xmas
-
No worries m8 - its "Sods Law" lol. Im still interested in them though...dont want to lose my other 3. Thought I'd take my supra out for a spin since its been sat in my garage since last thursday, and checked the center caps to make sure they were on ok, and they seemed it. I'm going to go and retrace my route tomorrow (M6 J23-J19)...but I doubt I'll get lucky. Cheers Simon

Jake, I've got the Part No (LAM27517000) for the Lexus Center Caps, but like you said, they have the Lexus logo on them, and they only come in a kit (4 of them) @ £47.05 + vat (Quoted from Bentleys Toyota in Warrington). I only need one, but if I had to I'd buy a set of them as long as they were not plastic ones. Im going to email TTE tomorrow with a better pic of the alloy, however Im pretty sure SimonB on these forums ordered some center caps from TTE and got plastic versions, which didnt match the colour of his alloys. MarkRH: The alloys came with the car m8. colsoop: Im not sure if they are aluminium, but they're certainly not plastic Regards Simon
