  1. I've always a supra with "ROMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING", a steering wheel designed by a blind person and a roll cage that makes it really hard to get in (when your over 6ft tall).
  2. Whilst it was a nice today (atleast where I live) I thought go outside and track down the serial number for my HKS F-CON V located in my passenger footwell. I also intended to relocate the F-CON unit to a better place as it was lying loose between the underside of the carpet and the top of the ENGINE & THROTTLE ECU's 'kick plate' and I was concerned about passengers knocking it. I noticed that the 'kick plate' wasnt seated like it should be so removed it to see why. If you look at the picture attached below you can see what I was confronted with. Can anyone tell me if the grey connections (highlighted in yellow) are OEM and if so where should they be located. It is this part of the wiring loom that is currently lying ontop of the THROTTLE ECU and prevents the 'kick plate' from sitting properly over the top. If possible I'd like to tidy it up and get the 'kick plate' sitting like it should which would give my passengers a little more foot room. http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/supra/supra_loom.jpg
  3. Probably look at some of the stock Lexus alloys, the MK1 GS300 Sport had 18" alloys that fit over the UK Spec brakes and are the correct offset for the Supra (I have them on mine)....but they're too nice for drag days
  4. Ooo....it must be a limited edition 200BHP Supra!!
  5. Didnt you have to re-disarm Blackjax once your partner got in to stop the car cutting out with lights/sirens blaring a couply hundred yards down the road?
  6. My favourite to date is: "Chuck Norris can create a rock so heavy that even he can't lift it. And then he lifts it anyways, just to show you who the [f*ck] Chuck Norris is."
  7. Will Lexus bother with the Supra if they are going to produce this LF-A model?
  8. The man himself reads out the Top 10 http://www.filelodge.com/files/12/chuck_norris_reads_chuck_norris_facts.wmv Chuck Norris - the web game http://hallpass.com/media/chucknorris.html
  9. I'll let you know Nic...hoping to get time to check it out later
  10. With them butchering the Queens english like that, the seller isnt a Mr Westwood by any chance is it?
  11. Cheers Guys, I'll take a look at the caliper
  12. Hi guys, I think one of my rear wheel bearings are on the way out so I jacked up the rear to check them. There is no play in either wheel (top/bottom or side/side). On my previous car (FWD Corolla gti) I was able to spin the rear wheels forward to see if the noise appeared when there was no obvious play in the wheel when jacked up. I've noticed on my Supra that I cannot spin the wheels forward freely, is this due to my car having LSD?....or should I be able to spin the rear wheels freely when its jacked up. Before you ask, yes I did have it in neutral and the handbrake was off. I can turn the wheels forward using some force, but they wont freely spin. Cheers
  13. Colin didnt do too bad in the Rage buggy Did anyone see the Rally Car Relay event?...2 Group B cars crashed into each other (a Lancia something skidded into an ex-works opel manta)...neither driver was happy to say the least. Wierd thing was the Lancia was 'safari' spec, so had a massive bull bar on the front...and it came out worse off (from the looks of it)
  14. Dont crash it Looks really nice...for a red one
  15. I've got the "wa wa wa wa" wheel-bearing-on-the-way-out noise, which I think is coming from the rear passenger side. I've jacked the rear of the car up (both rear wheels off the ground) and checked for top/bottom and side/side play...there is none. I've noticed that I cannot freely spin either rear wheel forward to see if the sound appears (though I can roll the car forward easily enough when the wheels are on the floor)...would I be correct in assuming this is due to the car having a LSD? Since there is no play and I cannot spin the wheels forward, is there anything else I can check to confirm/rule out a worn wheel bearing?
  16. lol The 4WD Audi Sport looked to be the fastest thing on the track the whole day. I didnt realise the Supra's were actually racing until I saw them head off to the track, just thought there was a 'leicester cruise' meet going on (I hadnt seen this thread before then).
  17. Both the Soops were nice, with very noticeable turbo spool up, shame they didnt get to do more laps. Anyone know who won in the 'cruise vs rally' event?...I couldnt make out what the commentator was saying over the tannoy.
  18. Interesting article on Supra bumper design and SMIC (its worth reading): http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/intake/intercooler_2JZGTE.htm
  19. I was at Mallory Park today ...couldnt hear the result of the 'cruise vs rally' race though....who won? All I did manage to hear was that the black Supra had trouble getting grip from the launch...but both Supra's looked sweet coming out the long right bend (engine killer) towards the chicane far side of the pits. That Audi Sport could shift, shame the other Audi lost 5th gear, would have been nice to see that get going. Saw a couple other Supras there as I was leaving, 2 silver (1 followed me out of Mallory) and one blue with matching blue stock alloys.
  20. Your 'over thinking' this, just buy your neighbour some ear plugs...its cheaper and you wont have to change your daily routine lol
  21. Yes CF composites are stiffer, stronger and lighter than glass (and they therefore cost more - especially with the world shortage of CF at the moment). Most of the 'street' spec CF composites are made with polyester resins which can be polished up nicely, as opposed to epoxy resins which the likes of Formula 1 teams use that have a matt finish and dont polish up well (though both can be lacquered). Its worth noting that CF is only strong in the direction of the weave, whereas Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) is generally strong in all directions. Some CF composites will have a layer of glass to 'hold' the CF in place (as CF prefers to lie flat) and a glass inner frame...so dont be suprised to see this. Glass composites are easier to repair than CF ones should they become damaged.
  22. You can spray CF composites as easily as GRP ones. A CF composite will in most cases be lighter than a GRP one...depends on the resin ratio and the process used (wet lay / prepreg).

    A bit pissed

Name and shame, post up your 'proof' on the lexus forums and publicy slag them off till they refund you (at the same time ebay it)
  24. I thought it was because the Japanese couldnt pronounce "Super", so went with their closest pronounciation..."Supra"
