What about oil temp?....is it worth having?
  2. I've been watching this thread hoping for a happy ending. Im saddened to hear of his passing. From what I have read he was a good sound lad who loved his motors. Please pass on my condolences to his family and friends. Simon
  3. Not sure if the following thread is of any use to you (listing loads of alloys, etc): :: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=18157
  4. Thanks, I'll keep an eye (or rather an ear) on it. Will probably change the oil just to be safe.
  5. Yes Martin, J-Spec 6 speed (V160). Is this normal then?
  6. Is it normal to hear a rattle from underneath the car when you change gear? It seems to be more noticeable when shifting into lower gears. I believe my car came with an uprated clutch but Im not sure if it has the OEM or aftermarket flywheel - I think its OEM as it doesnt rattle on tickover. Any ideas gratefully appreciated. Simon
  7. I purchased some of these from the same seller on ebay, just stuck them on today since I've recently painted my calipers whilst I put my Goodridge lines on, the decals look really nice...just hope they stick to the calipers for a long time to come
  8. Does anyone know if you can get hold of a MIL Light Eliminator for a MKIV Supra for when you remove the 1st cat temp probe? (for those who dont like the idea of tying the sensor underneath the car when decatting)....similar to this for an Elise: :: http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=406 Cheers Simon

    Decat advice

Cheers Chris, think I'll plug it back in then

    Decat advice

Would unplugging the Cat Temp Sensor make the engine go into 'limp' mode? I've unplugged mine and no dash lights have come on indicating a problem (ie: engine fault). Admittedly I havent taken it for a run yet as Im doing some work on the brakes at the moment but when the engine is running there are no visible warnings.
  11. For the price of a restrictor ring from CW, you may as well get one and fit it when you decat m8. Don't forget to get some gaskets too (CW also supplies these).
  12. Post #12 in this thread (in case you didnt find it): :: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=60850&highlight=replace+fuel+filter
  13. There's a thread on the forums somewhere on how to replace it - make sure you depressurise the fuel lines unless you like bathing in petrol

    Oops...

Glad you to see you escaped with bruises Chris (be they from the impact or the missus ). Im impressed how well the skyline chassis coped with the impact, Im also impressed no one has cracked a T-Cut joke yet Out of curiousity, what does a ZEUS look like? Regards Simon
  15. As long as you wear some sort of pants you should be ok, however driving the Supe whilst going commando may be deemed a bit odd by some folk
  16. Has anyone here had any dealings with this company? :: http://www.hypersr.com/index2.html They're apparently Supra specialists.
  17. Cheers Guys, Should I be bothered about it causing a fault code?...will that effect the running of the car in anyway?...should I get a 'warning' light somewhere on my dash to indicate this? I'd like to remove it so I can use that particular hole on the transmission tunnel to wire my AEM UEGO Sensor into my 2nd decat. Cheers
  18. I can't confirm it, but I believe some cars have invisibility cloaks installed on them. Look around your car for a switch so you can turn it off. My last 2 cars have had such cloaks, but I never found the magic button.
  19. When decatting, I've read that people tie the obsolete 1st cat temp sensor up out of the way. Is it safe to unplug it so I can remove it completely (ie: no ill effects)? I would have thought so, but Im curious to know if others have unplugged it (the plug is alongside the transmission tunnel in the drivers footwell. Cheers
  20. Hows about cleaning wipes! :: http://www.armorall.co.uk/armorallproducts/extra2.html
  21. Are the Blitz mirror gauges standalone or do they require a control unit like the Defi's?
