    Steve Manley..

Yeah, stop hogging him everyone...I tried him twice today but he was busy dealing with others (no doubt you lot)
  2. Does anyone know of any Garrett Turbo dealers in the UK?....Im after one of their turbo's for a Seat Alhambra - and I dont want to pay Seat stealership prices
  3. You dont happen to have a spare stereo panel lying about?
  4. I wish that Brunette would jump in my car - shes gorgeous. The Hoff got chucked out of Wimbledon recently for being pissed to his eyeballs. I dont know if I should be really admitting this in public for fear of being an outcast - but having played that song several times (usually showing my mates to take the piss) ...it has actually grown on me....though whether I'd play it in the Supe is another question
  5. Does anyone happen to know the Part No for the stereo panel?
  6. ....that or her breath will stink for the next couple of days
  7. Cheers Nic, Im in a rush for the stereo panel, so I'll try to source one in the UK.
  8. Can someone confirm if the dash panels on the pre-facelift manual TT's are the same for both UK and Jap cars? Cheers Simon
  9. Check with your bank how long a personal cheque/bankers draft has to be in your account before it is cleared beyond the point of possible cancellation by the buyer. I think personal cheques can be cancelled upto 10 days after you have put them in your account, even though the funds show as cleared after 4 days. I've heard of numerous stories of people who have had cheques cancelled on them after they had 'cleared' in their account.
  10. I didnt think the getrag box could handle that much power
  11. Sell the polo and get fiat uno (toaster on wheels) - im pretty sure they are the cheapest car to insure as no one wants to nick them
  12. I think a cheque can be cancelled 10 days after being put into your account, even though it will show as cleared after 4 days. If your going to accept cheques, postal orders, best bet to check with your bank as to how long it takes for the cash to be yours for keeps - and dont post off your item until the cash is yours for keeps.
  13. Have you tried Admiral - they have annoying adverts but their quotes for young drivers are usually good.
  14. I have actually used the trolley jack method, some muppet on the school run parked over my drive and I was in a bit of a rush to get somewhere. They came back to find their car 'parked' on the other side of the road lol. Shame I wasnt there to see their face, but they've never parked near my house since
  15. ...or get a guard dog thats trained to attack anyone reeking of beer
  16. Get a trolley jack and move his car into the street, then park your car in the space and phone the police to say some inconsiderate twonk has parked their car in the middle of the road (que the tow truck)
  17. Have you seen the Ad with the young girl doing the voice over.... "If you hit me @ 40mph theres an 80% chance I'll die, if you hit me @ 30mph theres an 80% chance I'll live" So what happens if you hit them @ 35mph - theres 0% of them dying or living...does that mean they'll just get up off the floor and be on their merry way? Disclaimer: For the sake of clarity, Im not a muppet and the above question isnt serious. I only support speeding if its on a track
  18. Thats not over the top IMO. Get a security light too that will light up the area so your CCTV images arent too dark and useless @ night time. High walls, railings and gates are also a good option, but it depends on how much it costs, and if it would make your house stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the houses.
  19. Im in need of the big dash panel that fits around the radio/cig lighter/air vent/clock for my 95 J-Spec TT. My dash is OEM grey, so ideally looking for the same colour panel. I need it to fit my 52mm AEM AFR as the previous owner decided to butcher the original 52mm clock opening so he could fit a 60mm Boost gauge - doh! Cheers
  20. I was under the impression that steam cleaning = death of electrics under the bonnet.
  21. Sleep in the bath and fill it with cold water
