  1. I heard on the radio yesterday that ProDrive (and a mix of other financial backers) have successfully purchased Aston Martin.
  2. Any GTR2 users tried this track yet?....if so what lap times are you getting?
  3. A good bodyshop may be able to work some magic with it. With regards to stone chips and scratches, you could try something like this: http://www.venturetape.com/ventureshield/ ...assuming you can get it or an equivalent product over here.
  4. This county is going down the sh*tter fast thanks to the bleeding hearts and human rights bunch. I was listening to Radio 5 Live yesterday, there was a chap on whose daughter had been in a bad car accident, caused by a Romanian who had only just come to the country, he was driving with no insurance, in a french registered STOLEN car and didnt speak a word of English. I can only assume he stole the car in france and came over here in it. Anyway, he was given a £200 fine. The daughter is off work with whiplash and the chap has a £400 excess on his insurance policy...so he's come out worse off than the bloody immigrant who caused the damn crash. Makes you want to knock on the Judge's head with a clenched fist and shout "hello". Can't wait for Sean Beans latest film to come out on cinema, its about taking the law into your own hands...and apparently may cause some debate.
  5. I did 3 things to fit mine, though I purchased the Miami-GT 2 guage A-Pillar pod (not sure if there is any difference): 1> Used velcro tape for lower A-Pillar section where inner surface of composite pillar was closest to the cars A-Pillar 2> Extended the end of the composite so it tucked nicely underneath the B-Pillar trim (the bit above the door) 3> Used a black plastic screw from an auto-factors to secure the composite to the A-Pillar using one of the factory A-pillar screwing points. You need to accomodate the overall weight of both the composite A-Pillar trim and the gauges you are fitting, which will be heavier than the stock trim.

    Finished

Looks mint Rob, I think the only improvement left is to get some TTE center caps for your alloys to replace the Lexus ones
  7. Im going doing several laps at the Nurburgring on GTR2 in my Saleen SR7
  8. You can now download the Nurburgring Nordschleife track for GTR 2 (PC) from here: http://www.mrmenmods.org/gtr2_nords.html It looks kinda cool, theres a video on google of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZu1M9nFuP4 I know what Im doing tomorrow Also, there will soon be a Supra from the Japanese GT series in a GTR2 MOD: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=279824
  9. Not physically burned, but 'smoke damaged'. Lots of insurance companies will have 'smoke damaged' computers cleaned as its cheaper than forking out for new ones. Some companies use Morantz Ultrasonic cleaning machines and a special solution to clean the computer components, then dry them in a special 'ovens'
  10. There was a chap who raced a Noble M12 GTR in 2006 LMA Euro Saloons, he beat the ex-Super Tourers (Nissan Primera's, Vauxhall Cavaliers, Honda Accords, Ford Mondeo) on most tracks...so its pretty damn fast. I don't think it was that heavily modded, only enough to meet scrutineering for the races.
  11. So now would be a bad time to ask you if you've seen Final Destination?
  12. You do realise that she is now on her computer trawling google for "supra forum" to see whats being said, maybe she's even here already ...if so...
  13. If the FMIC is ducted so that air passes through it, and not around it then it should be ok (though you are restricting air flow to your radiator). If you have a stock bumper, then SMIC for BPU would be enough, but if your using an aftermarket bumper then you could either keep the SMIC and modify the ducting to it or go for a FMIC. Good read here: http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/intake/intercooler_2JZGTE.htm

1995 RZ Twin Turbo Manual (V160)

Specification: :: HKS Super Drager Exhaust :: HKS EVC-EZ Boost Controller :: HKS Hypermax Suspension :: UK Spec Brakes :: 18" TTE Alloys :: Purchased from Jurgen (JM-Imports) Performance: 0-62 - faster than my previous car!
  15. I have some, and yes they are nice, alot better looking aesthetically than black plastic (or white in your case Chilly) They're pretty pricey for what they are though, Im pretty sure they're around the £40 mark. You could alternatively mask up your dash panel and use some chrome effect spray and spray the plastic rings around the dials...bit of an arse though I'd imagine. Edit: Or you could ask Jezzybabes if any Supra's in his breakers have any in them. http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/supra/dash.jpg ....bit blurry but you get the gist.
  16. FYI they are chromed plastic
  17. Lancaster Insurance offer a classic car policy on Supras that are 10+yrs old. When it came to renewal (last November), I spoke to Sky (think it may have been Scott that I got through to) who said that they hope to offer a classic car policy in the near future as they couldnt compete with the quote I had from Lancaster or other insurance brokers/companies who offer classic car policies. The difference between my classic policy @ Lancaster and the best deal Sky could offer for the same kind of policy (agreed value, like for like on mods, etc) was around £500.
  18. Because most WYSIWYG editors and other 'applications' produce inferior code that results in: :: Non standards compliant code (different rendering modes in browsers) :: Bloated code (longer page loading) :: Accessbility issues (ie: tables used to control layout) Try controlling the layout with CSS, using tables for tabular data only or for controlling form layouts (though use the SUMMARY property to highlight that the table is used to control the form layout). Use an external CSS file as opposed to using inline style, it makes it easier to maintain pages and reduces code bloating. Dump the transitional DTD - thats for lazy people, take pride in your work and code to a strict DTD (since IE has a 'quirks' mode that may render pages differently when using a transitional DTD). Make your site accessible, meeting one of the 3 levels of the WCAG guidelines (ideally aim for level AA or AAA), since it has been a legal requirement for all 'business' websites to be accessible since 2004 as stated in the 1995 Disablity Discrimination Act. Hows that for a challenge? If you need any CSS help, let me know.
  19. Im pretty sure Import Duty was an 'EU' idea - as everyone in the EU was buying US goods over the internet for less than they could buy it in their own country. Maybe next time you order from the US, you could first contact the company and ask them if they will mark down the value of the product(s) for £17, or mark them as second hand goods as I think you dont pay import duty on second hand goods (not that I've heard of second hand pet food lol)
