  1. Saw a black Supra involved in an accident with another car on Knowsley Road today, just after 3pm-ish (near the fire station). Didnt catch the reg plate, not sure if the supra had a front bumper on it, as I was driving past and didnt get much time to look. A police volvo was on scene, looked like a ford of some kind (possibly a focus) had driven up the Supras arse...possibly knocking the Supra up the onto the pavement. Anyone on here? If so, gutted for you mate.
  2. Its scripted, there is no alternative ending.
  3. Don't take this the wrong way Mr Fish, but Im assuiming you've only looked at your website in Internet Explorer - in Firefox it does not look good at all....to the point where there is no content rendered. Something you may want to look into during the festive break as your losing out on potential customers by resricting your visitors to IE.
  4. I had it on my previous car @ 60mph on a dual carriageway. I had 2 new front tyres put on the day before, and the tyre monkey never tightened one of them up properly!
  5. Also check the nuts on your wheels are tight (yes, I am serious).
  6. Close call mate, and good to hear no damage done to your Supra....though maybe a little to your underwear At this time of year, it would seem that few people check their mirrors and look over their shoulder when changing lanes. Its as if Christmas takes away good driving habbits. I had to nip from St.Helens into Widnes and back to St.Helens, during that trip I was cut up 5 times, 2 of them really close misses. If I was driving the worlds smallest car I could understand people struggling to see me, but I was drving a Seat Alhambra for gods sake!
  7. The powers that be in your local area are probably using the 'environmentally friendly agricultural by-product' grit. Its called "Safecote", and is a mixture of salt, sugar and grit, which is reputed to last longer than traditional rock salt when spread on icy roads (it isnt flicked off the road towards the pavement by traffic). Its also meant to be less corrosive to cars too. However, it can lead to some roads being slippy as hell, some people think its the sugar that causes it, others claim the mixture of sugar, salt and grit grind together when vehicles pass over it and polish the road surface.
  8. OMG - Im pretty sure I've seen that very car advertised for sale a couple weeks ago parked up in a car park near Chain Lane. I havent seen it recently so maybe the owner sold it to the garage.
  9. Have you looked at the LMA Euro Saloons, I think a Supra (may have to be UK supra) may qualify for that, and there are different classes (and I think its cheaper than Brit Car). I think it also gets a bit of TV coverage on something like Men & Motors.
  10. You could, if you like to engage in illegal activity, download it via torrent. I don't know why I mentioned that, as we're all a bunch of tree hugging law abiding do'gooders on here and unlike Darth Vader, we'd never be drawn to the darkside
  11. You could have 2 sides to the venture, one makes the mess, the other cleans it up: http://www.passenger-pissers.com & http://www.piss-stain-cleaners.com Back on topic, I've had the car squirm on the road whilst diriving in a straign live off boost in the last couple days...and the gritters have been out! I just think the roads are grimey as well as icey in some parts.
  12. Who was the underwriter on the Lancaster Quote? I renewed with them a while back on a classic limited policy for my RZ TT and the underwriter was Zenith (Zenith Classic). I also tried Adrian Flux, you can read my rant about them here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=130475
  13. He should'nt have took those tips of Frank Bruno about tiring out your opponent with your face
  14. If you have SopCast, here's a good stream (864kbps): sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/33767

  16. DX10 theoretically yields better performance on the same spec machine than DX9. However, DX10 only comes with Vista - and Vista is a pile of crap when it comes to gaming performance so you barely see the DX10 benefits. In terms of framerates, Crysis runs better on XP (DX9) than it does on Vista (DX10) when compared on a machine of identical spec (numerous people with dual boot xp/vista pc's saying this).
  17. If you have a nvidia card you may want to read this: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=15684 Whilst your running crysis, have you checked the CPU infinity to see if all 4 cores are being used? I'd wait till the first Crysis patch come out, its meant to have numerous fixes, some performance ones amongst them...and the rumourmill suggests it isnt that far from being released.
  18. My mate has one of these cars now, with the 'tressa' (probably not spelt correctly) performance bits on it. What suprised me was that they have a digital dash that talks! Its nice and nippy, sounds lovely, but not as fast as a Supra TT (its still got plenty of grunt though). As mentioned, finding a mint one is hard and some parts can be hard to find or expensive to acquire.
  19. Don't worry, its nearly Christmas - share the love
  20. I believe we also have a 'wanted items' forum (I can't believe no one pointed this out already)
  21. Lancaster Insurance do a 'classic policy' with limited mileage and agreed value (for additional cost) if the car is 10yrs or older.
  22. I don't suppose those that did see Richard Hammond... ...at the expense of missing out on seeing a man walking a dog or a jet engine stood on the floor being fired up, or a fat bird walk into a post outside Asda in Wigan, or a bald man on the street performing the moonwalk, or seeing daylight for the first time in 6 days, or seeing lots of hot polish chicks... ...happened to suggest getting the stig to take a Supra around the TG track?
  23. I've used the halfords stuff and it does work well, but it also helps if you use the aircon on a weekly basis.
