  1. Surely you mean "text-align: center;"
  2. Its as if they built the Alhambra around the heating system!
  3. Anyone else got the urge to go buy some giant lilac metal things?
  4. Yes, the OEM water pump uses a plastic impeller which can break off the shaft, I had this problem a while back and changed it with the 'uprated' water pump with brass impeller. I had the pump off a couple days ago to check and it was fine. I must have overtook a nun in the Supra too fast and she cursed me
  5. Update: Well, after ruling out the thermostat, water pump, water pipes, radiator, coolant contamination in the oil (head gasket), the end tank cap ...it wasnt the bloody matrix after all Still, I now know why garages charge so much to replace Matrix's...what a ball ache. Going to spend tomorrow putting all the interior back in. Fed up with it now so will be taking it to an ex-VW chap in Haydock to see if he can work out why its overheating like a bar steward.
  6. I think my heater matrix is leaking on my 2001 Seat Alhambra, has anyone here ever tried replacing one and throw any pointers my way. I've already got the dash out ...just cant see how you get the bloody heater system away from the bulkhead so I can remove the matrix No doubt there are some bolts on the bulkhead holding it in place, but short of taking the engine out, I cant see getting access to them being possible without the aid of some umpa-lumpas.
  7. Nic can sort you out a Fields 'field' harness.
  8. Cheers, I drive a Seat Alhambra for work. They have a good driver position (bit higher up than 'normal' cars) so you can generally see things ahead better, they're also pretty good for cruising on M-ways at 'outside lane' speeds. Maybe it was a rental with a BMW/Audi driver at the wheel? Porche Cayans and BMW X5 seems to be the most ignorant/agressive drivers on M-Ways when it comes to MPVs There's numpties driving all cars, even Supras.
  9. My condolences to you and your family Chris.
  10. Usual suspects are air lock, thermostat (though im under the impression you wouldnt get hot air from the heaters if the thermostat was on the blink), failed water pump or knackered radiator.
  11. Can we add people who hit the brakes when they drive into a rain shower on a motorway to the list of annoyances on our roads? With regards to people cutting you up or pulling out of junctions in front of you, it sounds like you have the same spec of 'stealth' supra as myself. Maybe we clean our cars so much that people can no longer see them? Where I live I get a mixed bag of reactions and its isnt specific to groups of drivers (e.g. chavs, blue rinse brigade, totty, etc). When exiting a junction I sometimes get let out and given a thumbs up, sometimes people (generally 4x4 owners) speed up to close a gap Im thinking of slipping into. On DCW/Motorways I have people tailgate me so close there is no way they'd stop intime if I had to slam on the anchors, sometimes I get knobs flashing me out the way despite the fact I have traffic in front of me lol. I've had people look in their rear view mirror and then swerve into the inner lane as if they fear my car is about to consume and digest them. Basically, there are good attentive curteous drivers and the rest are ignorant pricks who shouldnt be allowed on the road.
  12. See post #3 in this thread regarding sizes/lengths: http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/Hose%20Connections.pdf
  13. I have a boost controller and 1.2 RR. I never have the boost controller on and its dial has been turned down to the minimum and I see 1.2 bar on my JDM TT (Im assuming my boost controller is having no effect). I therefore personally dont think you need a boost controller on a JDM TT if your seeing 1.0-1.2 with a RR, it has been suggested though that a boost controller will give you a set amount of boost in varying conditions (ie: warmer weather wont affect boost).
  14. If its not what JustGav suggests, could it possibly be a 'dry solder' issue on the odometer? Also, I was under the impression that if the No.1 speed sensor was faulty the odometer would not increment?
  15. L33, pay attention to Homers tip here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=539839&postcount=9
  16. It would be cheaper to move your battery to the rear of the car As well as the composite, the means in which its attached to your car will have a small effect on the weight-savings. Some makes require bonnet pins, some may accomodate the stock latch and mounting points.
  17. I wonder if you could claim whiplash from reeling back in horror at the sight of your damaged car? ....I bet you could pull it off over the pond in the States Is it still to late to get the police involved? We dont need numpty drivers like this on the road. Hope you get it sorted with minimal hassle.
  18. I'd be gutted if that happened to me mate, I take it you have 'punto kids' details? or did he try to scarper?
  19. Look at my attached picture in previous post, then look at the website in IE - you'll notice a difference
  20. The best TL I've stayed in is at Londons Docklands, the worst by far was in Norwich. Best hotel I've stayed in was a Ramada Jarvis in Swansea - think it was £50/room and it was amazing - sky tv, wet room with a really powerful shower, big rooms, free breakfast with these really nice little tarts (the edible type!).
  21. I've just switched from an Envy Performance 'Apexi Style' induction kit (as shown here) to the stock box with panel filter. The difference in noise was certainly noticeable...I prefer the quieter stock box.
  22. As mentioned, unplug the AS ECU behind your head unit.
  23. Sad to hear about this tragedy. My condolences to his friends and family. RIP Lewis.
  24. I noticed, I posted the same link in the other thread
