  1. Classic game, had it on my Amiga.
  2. Just been on the F1 2010 forums and got the impression it isn't a true simulation ...they had to cater for the casual gamer as they are a bigger market than die hard sim fans. I think I'll hold off buying now till I read unbiased reviews from the gaming community ...you can't trust gaming sites these days for a fair article.
  3. Good luck with it, I've just started day 1 of 90 of a program called P90X having recovered enough from a wrist injury (basketball related - not bathroom related!) to start doing some full body fitness work.
  4. You can also pre-order F1 2010 for the PC via Steam, and there is a £10-off offer this weekend (£26.99).
  5. Just been looking at some info on this for the PC version, looks and sounds very promising, think I may get it. Up to now, GTR2 is the best racing sim I've played, plus you can add Supras into it, but now I find myself wanting a little F1 action
  6. LOL I did search spongebob, haybale and farmer before posting

    IE9 Beta

Will be interesting to see if it supports web standards and technologies as well as the others.
  8. A farmer turns himself into spongebob... EBWfBqRDbrM ...dont worry he survives fine (though he was probably mentally ill to begin with!) ...before he transforms he changes into his birthday suit so may not be safe for work (though his suit is blurry so nothing to see).
  9. I've just installed 2 android apps from http://www.motionportrait.com/e/ on my Google Nexus One: :: HourFace - takes a picture of someone and turns it into a 3D animation of them growing old. (example vid) :: PhotoSpeak - takes a picture of someone and turns it into a 3D speaking portrait ala Harry Potter. (example vid) Both apps are 350 JPN YEN each - less than £3 in real money and are great for having a laugh with your mates. The 3D character will follow your finger as you drag it around the screen too.
  10. You can get adapters that allow you to use a PC mouse/keyboard on consoles, though they can be pricey and Im not sure if there are some restrictions on which keys are supported in games. Personally, I dont think consoles are suited to FPS games, lower graphic detail, larger hit boxes (to balance out controller response/accuracy issues), paid for DLC, auto-aim to hold your hand while you play...not as challenging/rewarding as playing on a PC. Microsoft had a cross-platform beta FPS programme a while back that supported cross-platform multiplayer. The PC players laid waste to their console rivals, not necessarily because they where better players, but purely because the PC had better more responsive/accurate input devices....needless to say Microsoft put that project to bed. The good news about COD: Black Ops is that they have confirmed dedicated servers on the PC, but only through a single game service provider (GSP) so far, so its not looking likely that there will be any community server-side-mods which would seem to suggest they are following the paid-for-DLC path to new content on the PC (console users wont be suprised by this as they bend over and take it without a whimper). Someone earlier mention they'd prefer a more realistic FPS, if you want a realistic milsim, get a good PC and get Arma 2/Arma2 Operation Arrowhead, forget about Operation Flashpoint DragonFailing, it is utter crap and no closer to being a milsim than mario cart (also the latest patch on the PC can cause your graphic card to fail). If you want a realistic counter-terrorism game, go for Rainbow Six: Ravenshield (with the Iron Wrath expansion pack) - an old game, but a classic with no rival to date.
  11. Check out 5'7 Stefan Gill in this dunk contest, this guy has up's (skip to 1:30) ttFfHE9dsWU I've played against him in the manchester basketball league, damn quick point guard, can leap like a flea and can nail 3 pointers to boot. Shame he's just signed a full time professional contract, or else I'd be playing against him again this year.
  12. iKDgYKSEN6M Group buy?
  13. Well, it would appear KARMA does happen in the gaming industry. As a result of creating a crap bug ridden game, the software development house behind APB has gone tits up and entered administration!
  14. You can get new center caps from TTE, search the forums for the part number and TTE contact info. I've been quoted £80 per wheel for a refurb.

Around my way, I believe the phrase means (roughly translated) "Its a car better suited for women or male hairdressers..." http://www.charleswilliams.co.uk/hairdresser.jpg It may mean something else in other parts.

A bit of a hairdressers car in my opinion.
  19. Most heatshields I've seen are made from thin sheet metal/ali and do not box the filter in....making them more of a placebo than a useful mod. Warm air circulates, a little sheet of ali between the block and the filter is pointless. Of course the sound is nice ...and as mentioned are better suited to singles than stock/bpu cars.
  20. I think it was more of a PR stunt for his music than it was a protest against CCTV.
  21. I cant wait to repost this in a couple of weeks
  22. FYI, if its not reinforced silicon hose it can collapse, silicon hoses are more prone to slipping off what they're connected to. Over tightening the clips holding the silicon in place can cause splitting. Silicon hose is OK as long as its proper reinforced stuff.
  23. Just read an interesting summary of a US Cancer Study that implicates refined fructose sugars as a major culprit in the spread of cancer cells. Thought I'd post it in case anyone else finds it interesting, or for those who dont find it interesting to post snoring emoticons
  24. I've seen the police pull cars over for a roadside VOSA emissions check, it was a new one on me as I only thought they did VOSA checks with commercial vehicles.
