  1. Advice please. A good friend of mine (female) has a 9 year old son she has been bringing up on her own since the child was about 18 months old. I recently found out that he ex has only ever paid her intermittently for child support and for the past 12 months has paid her nothing at all!! He is only required to pay £175.00 per month (as per an agreement they made between themselves not via the CSA) but has been claiming he has set up a new business and can’t afford to give her any money. He recons he has checked with the CSA and they told him he does not have to pay her!!! Which I don’t believe. To add insult to injury he lives in a nice rented apartment with his girlfriend and 2 year old daughter and drives a new Audi S5! My friend and her ex don’t get on particularly well and she is worried by forcing the issue the relationship will completely break down between them adversely affecting her son. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Does anyone have any constructive advice?
  2. Thanks Michael One for you: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1O233-pisstaker.html

  4. Thanks to everyone who enquired about the turbos they have now been sold.
  5. Provisionally SOLD.... Thanks for all of your enquiries.
  6. Hi Carl Well having looked on the site old turbos with some miles in them go for £150+ and some recons in the past have gone for £750+ so I guess somewhere inbetween. I have tried to describe them the best I can with as many photos as possible but anyone making an offer needs to treat this as 'sold as seen'.
  7. EDIT.... Sorry, mis-read your question. Thought you where asking if they would fit a UK model. Yes, the guy I bought them from had them fitted to his J-Spec JZA80.
  8. Novice = Yes Daft = No To be honest I dont have a specific price in mind, I know what they owe me but thats nothing to go by as I bought them years ago. I am pretty realistic so I wont be offended at sensible offers. I know this is a vague answer but I guess I am going to be guided by what people are willing to pay for them.
  9. Fractional movement in the shafts but unsure if thats normal? Blades are unmarked and if it helps I think they are steel internals. Unfortunately I am no expert so much of what I tell you is from a novice perspective.
  10. As I have now sold my Supra I have a pair of reconditioned turbos for sale. I bought them years ago thinking they may be useful but they have been sat (boxed up) in my garage for years. The guy I bought them from had them reconditioned in 2004 (at a cost of £1500), fitted them to his car, did a few 1000 miles with them then went single so as you can see they are in great condition. This is however as much as I know about them so please take this into consideration when making an offer, they are being 'Sold as Seen'. Re the price, I have had a look round at what others have gone for on this site but I am open to offers. If your interested PM me.
  11. Soon to be an ex Supra owner
  12. Before going down the converter route (which it probably is) check its not a bad solder on the wiring. I had a similar problem that was solved by checking all the solder joints.
  13. Thought this was interesting...how mechanical things work http://www.buzzhunt.co.uk/2009/06/12/simple-mechanisms-explained/
  14. Thanks Tooley, but I would keep it and eventually get the time to get the PAS pump fixed.
  15. Bump... Cant believe no one has snapped my arm off yet? Seriously where can you get a good quality Supra Twin Turbo less than 4K? Come on guys...a few hundred quid spent on fixing the PAS and you have a bargain! If I had more time I would get it done myself but I am now working away and cant get the time to replace the pump. Take advantage of my situation and make me an offer!!!
  16. My TT is currently up for sale. Needs a new PAS pump but its going really cheap if budget is a concern?
  17. I think the '£400 Karoism floor mats' are a bargain. Would go lovely with some beaded seat covers!
  18. Bargain TT For Sale….read on!! It’s very sad for me but after 7 years together its time to finally put my Supra up for sale!!! It’s a 1993 Twin Turbo GZ Auto in Silver (JSpec) Usual GZ Spec including: Leather seats/steering wheel/gear shift Power steering ABS Traction control Cruise control Electric drivers seat Driver airbag Electric/heated mirrors Air/Climate control Active front spoiler Added Bits: Koni adjustable front suspension HKS induction kit (in good condition and filter regularly cleaned) Cat back stainless steel exhaust – hand built on the car by BlueFlame (has a lovely deep sound to it) Panasonic head unit with 6 disc multi-changer & sub amp (sub not included) Kosei 17” alloys with good tyres Private plate included – worth about £500 CAT1 Meta alarm/immobilizer (with certificate) New 12 month MOT till 14th April 2011 (which it passed with NO advisories) and Tax till July 2010. The car has done 143,000 miles and comes with a folder full of history including service work, parts purchased, MOTs etc. (note, had cam belt, tensioner and s-belt changed at 135,000). Had recent oil/filter change. Now the Bad Bit! THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAS JUST FAILED and needs to be replaced/refurbished. To be honest I did look to get this done before putting it up for sale but the other (used) pump I got was also knackered. Therefore the car is currently not drivable and needs to be collected by trailer (price discounted accordingly). Whilst this is not a massive or expensive job to sort out, I have simply run out of time to get it fixed due to work pressures. Other Bits: There are a few marks on the interior, such as wear on the leather steering wheel and a bit of rub on the drivers seat from getting in and out the car but nothing you would not expect. (see photos in garage) Bodywork is good, very tidy for its age. It puffs a bit of smoke on start-up and uses a bit of oil but has been exactly the same since I bought it 7 years ago. Just recently the air con has stopped working. I think it needs a leak check/re-gas as it was fine only a few weeks ago. Price: As there are a couple of bits for the new owner to sort out (and the car needs collecting) I am very realistic on the price so putting it up for offers around £4000!!! This is a great price for a Twin Turbo (of this condition) and with the PAS sorted its probably worth closer to £5k +. Due to my personal circumstances this is a genuine chance for you to get a quality TT at bargain basement money!!! Important, I won’t hold the car for buyers over the phone or over PM without deposit so it will go to the first person who covers the sale with a deposit or turns up to do the deal! Car is based in Reading. (please remember the car needs collecting on a trailer as its not drivable due to the PAS failure). If you are interested or want to know more please PM me. Final note, in the 7 years I have had the car it has been a pleasure to own. Its had an easy life as I am not hard on my cars and has been well cared for. This is a really nice TT Supra at a bargain price and I will be very sad to see it go. Check out my garage for more photos…… http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?u=4936
