    Useful Freebie!

Having looked at some threads today on the forum that have links to other sites my 'SiteAdvisor' has been off the radar! Some of the web sites people are going to on this forum may not be 100% friendly! Just an idea for the more security minded web surfer, if you want to ensure your only visiting good sites try downloading McAfee SiteAdvisor. For the moment its FREE and can be found at http://www.siteadvisor.com I run a IT security company and this has to be one ofthe best free tools out there at the moment.
  2. I'm sure there are many threads about who and who does not like the latest Celica, so forgive me if this topic has been exhausted. But recently I have started taking more notice of the lnew Celica and I think I am starting to like it! When it came out I thought it was `odd` in every way and really did not like it, thinking it had gone the same way as the MR2 uuurrgghhh! I dont know what it is but i've seen a few recently with some nice styling and have to admit they look pretty good. Weird....
  3. agree with Smithaldo, Ghost Recon is the best all round game, especially the gameplay in XBOX Live! Plus GRAW was voted best game of the year!
  4. I occassionally pop back to Monmouth and have seen this guy around also. Dont know who he is though! We have waved to one another before but I dont think he is on the forum.
  5. Is it really that cheap? I thought these were much more expensive? Would be interested to find out what you think of it when it turns up? Could be a great xmas present for my Bro at that price!!!
  6. What version of McAfee is it? The firewall generally tries to protect itself from being uninstalled by force (as this is its job). If you could force an uninstall it would be a pretty crappy firewall!!!!! I would recommend you go to http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/?siteID=16&resolution= and use the menu in the left to navigate to your problem. As a quick asside. I have worked in IT security for over 7 years and now run my own company. We provide all IT security solutions from McAfee, Norton, Sophos etc and IMO McAfee is by far the best security software product on the market.
  7. my 14 year old daughter would and ive warned her about weirdos who drive such cars... Lol

    Good laptops

Just got the new Sony Vaio, only released last week and like hens teeth to get hold of, its fantastic but I think would be a bit small and too pricey for you! I know in the world of laptops Acer is a dirty word as they are more bottom end of the market but a designer friend of mine has just bought a huge 21" laptop to do large work on, and I have to admit its quite impressive. You might want to take a look at them, I think he got his from `Dabs`. Although as I say, I cant vouch for the long term robustness of Acer stuff? If it helps we all get our machines from `Micro Anvika`, who to date have been very good.
  9. Yep, I agree with all these comments and have tried to convince him otherwise. I dont get it either! Saying that I`m just off to turn my Supra into a replica Austin Allegro ;0)
  10. I thought I would ask what peoples thoughts are on replica cars? A friend of mine is looking at a second car (fun for the weekend sort of thing) and has taken a shine to the Ferrari 355 replicas based on the MR2. My initial reaction was NNNNOOOOOOO! Dont do it! But he has had a look at a few really well done examples and is getting more keen! Now I understand why, you get what looks like a really expensive motor, girls wont be able to tell the difference and the running costs will be nothing. But is it right to drive around in an MR2 pretending its something its not? Or is it a smart move for the odd sunny weekend run out? Any thoughts?
  11. There are a few jokes posted today so here is my favorite: Man walks onto the bedroom with a sheep under his arm and walks up to the bed where his wife is lying down and says "here is the pig i`ve been shagging while you have had a headache". His wife looks up and says darling thats a sheep not a pig, to which he replies "I was'nt talking to you" !!!!

    Battery Tray

Chaps Looking for a battery tray and clamp. My battery clamp let go and the battery has shifted around on the tray breaking the sides off it. If anyone has one in good condition please PM. Cheers
  13. Cautionary tail...... A friend of mine turned the chavvy gits away last year. Woke up in the morning only to find the b*******s had played naughts and crosses with a key and the paint work of his car!!!!
  14. Hi Supra-man To be honest I cant remember where I got mine but loads of people sell them. Just had a quick search and found this site doing them for £150!!!! http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/tomtom-mobile-5-for-symbian-series-90-description.html?PHPSESSID=5a0deec43e34ed4d6fd3214177a9c1ba
  15. If he has a smart phone (ie G3) you can get the mobile 5 TomTom pack with all media, license and sat nav receiver for approx £170. This has all the same features as the standard TomTom sat nav packages. I have one a love it, better than a big unit to carry around.

    Fensport

Yep used them before and still get some service parts from them now and again. They did however let me down once on a set of toyota discs that I was desparate for having warped mine, they claimed to have been let down by Toyota, but it took weeks and weeks for them to get them to me! Not much fun when your without your car and the garage are moaning about how long they have had it for! I had to keep calling them to check what the lastest was end when they finally got them they did not even offer to give me a discount to make up for the weeks of pain I went through. Other than that one order they have been OK.
  19. Cheers Lui Got my pass, do you want anything for postage? Must have cost a bit to post all the buggers out! I have been trying to persuade a mate to let me stay over at his so you never know I might even make it to Toddington if i`m really lucky!
  20. There is an increased security risk associated with leaving your PC on constantly connected to the internet! As long as you are well protected with a solid security package including a desktop firewall (not just anti-virus) you should be OK.
  21. Warped discs! I had the same, the pads had worn thin and I guess warped the discs, which was a bugger as they where bloody expensive drilled and grooved jobbies! Chances are the pads are shot as well!

    Thieving B*******S

I thought this but apparently as I had flushed the thing before I realised I had been done over they said that it was not worth doing? They did test for fingerprints but said it looks like they were wearing gloves. If i ever find em they will be wearing F******* concrete boots as well! ;0)
