  1. No it is sealed in the reservoir. There are a few threads on here on about the best way to clean it. I had a PAS failure, steering very noisy and got progressively heavier until it was almost solid and eventually it started to pi$$ PAS fluid all over the place.

  5. This may help. Run the Mcafee Stinger on your machine, download at http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ Note this is a free clean up utility from McAfee Once run it should identify the malware and clean if it can (note this can take a while). I would then update your AV and run another scan to be sure. The problem you have is there is most likely an open backdoor now on your machine so no matter how many times you try to remove the problem you get a re-infection. If so then you have little choice but to rebuild your machine. Hope it helps.
  6. About a year back I saw S11PRA on a silver Merc SL just outside of St Albans....anyone on here? Also some of my favorites spotted over the years have been L4GER and P3RVY
  7. I have a degree and at no point have I ever used it in my career, however.... A degree does demonstrate that you have the ability to learn, retain knowledge and in some way apply it. Equally if there are 5 people going for a job who are all very good candidates and you can only choose one then the degree may be one of the factors in making a decision. For some professions they are unaviodable, for others they are simply an additional measure. Now I am an employer I treat a degree with its due respect as they do represent a lot of hard work for some people, but does it automatically make them the right person for the job and in front of those who dont have one.........no!!
  8. dont suppose now is a good time to find out the heater dial was the problem
  9. Dreadful...... I'm all for individuality but this just looks s**t
  10. Totally agree, Nicholas Cage has to be one of the worst actors ever to grace the screen. I have this argument with friends all the time. My point being how many films could be better if someone other than him played the part.
  11. I think its a speed controller related issue, you will find that when driving it also plays up making the warning light come on...can be unnerving!!! The simple, cheap and effective short term solution....turn it off

    VW Golf R32

It is a brilliant car and she will be gutted to sell it. The simple fact is she does about 2-3000 miles a year and its just sitting in the garage most of the time.
  13. Guys My girlfriend is selling her 2003 (53) Golf R32 so thought I would pop it on here just in case anyone knows of someone looking for one of these. In brief its: Deep Pearl Blue Metallic 75,000 Miles Full R32 Spec (except no SatNav) Tax till September - MOT till May 2011 For photos and full spec: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1790720.htm Currently up for £9995 but open to sensible offers. If interested or you know someone who is looking for one PM me.
  14. Sorry to hijack part of this thread.... I have sold my Sup and looking to get a 535d now. As you are an existing 535d owner how do you rate the car, whats the running costs like and fuel economy etc? I read great things about it but nothing beats hands on experiences.
  15. Perhaps a signal and battery app for the iphone. The sort of thing that would tell you when you have signal and hold it long enough for you to actually make a call, then a battery app to tell you how many seconds you have left once you have taken it off charge before watching it die in your hands Can you tell I upgraded mine to os4!!!
  16. Have a word with BlueFlame http://www.blueflameperformance.com/custom.php they hand built the exhaust to my car and was very reasonably priced.
  17. My baby....taken on track day at Donnington!!! I am going faster than I look....
  18. My advice would be: Take the full test (after getting your CBT) so you can jump onto an unrestricted bike once you pass. VERY IMPORTANT IMO - take lessons with a one to one private instructor, WHY? Because the larger schools take you out in pairs or threes so you get diluted training eg you pay for an hour but only get about 20 mins of one to one training. Plus while they are concentrating on someone else your behind them picking up bad habits!!! Once you pass the fun begins, but again IMO dont go straight for the biggest bike you can, learning to ride properly on a smaller bike is just as fun and ultimately easier to handle when your beginning. I started life on 400's and would totally recommend the same path. I have over the years had a CBR 400RR Tri-Arm, a CBR 400RR Gull-Arm and an NC30...all of which are great but my favorite was the Gull-Arm. After that moved to 600's and now have a 900RR Fireblade. Enjoy..

    iphone os4

In short for those people who have not upgraded but are thinking about it DONT DO IT !!!!! My iphone has not been right since the upgrade and it now burns up the battery 3 times faster than it did before. I have tried optimising all settings etc and its still massively power hungry. The new features simply are not worth the hassle....stay on the old version and save yourselves the headache!!!!
  20. Just checking to see if anyone here is off to this years Boardmasters Festival? http://www.relentlessboardmasters.com/index.php Went last year and it was brilliant...hoping for the same again this year as long as the weather holds out
  21. Fair point but the £175.00 was agreed between them long ago as a fair and equitable monthly figure. I also think that in the area we live £175.00 does not go as far as other parts of the country, things here are very expensive. I also have to disagree that its just food and clothes that need to be covered. What about toys, school trips, partys etc all that needs to be factored, its surely unfair that only one parent carry that financial burden? However all that said, the underlying issue I feel is not the money itself, as I say she copes admirably with what she has, but the fact that he has absolved himself of all financial responsibility but maintains all access privilages and rights!
  22. TBH I agree with you in many respects. However the child is not aware of the situation (as you would expect) as she does not want things to become difficult so would never mention it. He however is the sort of guy who will spend money on his son now and again when it suits him (eg a new football or England top) and will simply claim he has been giving her money when he has not so I dont think there will be a moral victory as her son will forever think his dad was a good guy and gave him all the treats in life!
  23. Not especially as she has been managing till now. Its just the fact that he is IMO taking the piss out of her and not standing up to his responsibilities. Equally her son is getting older now and requiring more things than when he was a small child eg more expensive clothes, food, school trips, computers etc and why should she as a single parent have to go to work, pay the bills and bring him up on her money alone. Note, he still has fill access rights to the child so he cant claim diminished responsibility either!
  24. Thanks for the advice. I think this may be what he is banking on...as I understand it, his girlfriend works and he is claiming that she is paying for everything and as he has a new business thats not yet made any money he does not have to pay her as he effectively has no money. Its seems rather convenient however as he just chopped in his Porsche Turbo for the S4 and has a penthouse flat in a very expensive area! I wish I had a girlfriend like his, she must be a) extremely well paid, and b) be very generous!!
