Used mine yesterday on a long run, still doing it now and again. One of the problems is that it does not happen all the time? Mine happens on spool up of the first turbo (sounds like your blowing across the top of a beer bottle). The odd thing is that once it starts to make the noise you can hold the sound by not accelerating or de-celerating. But once you do either the noise stops immediately? Its had me stumped for a year now. Checked for split I/C hoses, even changed a few just just in case, had it at Phoenix etc still no further forward. If anyone does eventually solve this problem I would love to know what it is.......

I have had a purpose built stainless steel performance exhaust put on by BlueFlame Performance (you can actually see my car on their web site: http://www.blueflameperformance.com/car/exhausts/custom_exhausts.asp Fantastic exhaust, but not cheap, plus they need the car for best part of a day. I used to have a HKS SuperDragger, which to be honest looked good but the mild steel section just rotted away (pretty rubbish for the money) The Powerflow stuff if just `bolt and build` bits that they cobble together to make it fit. Do youself a favour and save some more cash to get a true performance custom exhaust.

Slightly off topic, how many forum members have that odd browny colour? I have not seen one for years!

In my dim and distant past I used to work for Suzuki and the buggers made me drive one of these round for a few weeks to promote the crappy thing! I dont think I have ever got over the horror and the shame of it!!!

Have still got mine!!! Changed the stock BOV (with another stock one) still no difference. Have even had Phoenix look over it (changed a few pipes) still no difference!! To be honest its been doing it now for well over a year and have had no performance loss etc, so given up on trying to work it out. If anyone finds the culprit please let me know. My only other thought was the exhaust. From memory my noise seemed to start shortly after I had a stainless steel exhaust fitted and the noise does sound like a high pitched ressonance so it could be something to do with exhaust air flow? I`m probably talking bollox now and should stop ;0)

Got to be one of the ugliest cars on the road today.......just dont do it to yourself !!! You should have learnt your lesson owning a TR8 (I had a TR7) so you sould be fully aware of what its like to own piece of crappy engineering! Never again!!!

Hi Darryl Really, small world! Many years ago I lived in Longhope They are actually now living in Lydbrook (about 6 miles outside of Ross-On-Wye).

Was up that way myself on the weekend (parents live round that neck of the woods) I would advise he looks closely for any accident damage and regular service history. I only mention this as Lydney is on the boarder to the Forest of Dean and the roads round there lend themselves to some spirited driving antics by the locals!

Sometimes you just cant please your neigbours no matter what you do. I have neighbours who just think everyone should conform to their way of thinking and if you do anything that they dont agree with then there are very happy to let you know about it. Plus its always the trivial stuff! Eventually I wrote them a polite letter outlining some of the issues they have and said if they could come up with some sensible resolutions to their complaints then I would be more than happy to comply........of course they could not defend their insane behaviour and have heard nothing since! Worth a try!

to soak up the everyday miles I run a 405 1.9 diesel estate (or should I say its 'in a state') I give my cars names and I think it sums it up perfectly: Supra TT - nickname 'The MingeSlayer' 405 Diesel - nickname 'The ShitBox' Need I say more.......
