  1. This happened to a mate of mine. He upset an ex girlfriend, woke up the next morning to find that she had kindly engraved the same four letter word down the side of his MR2 in foot high letters!!!
  2. Not wanting to hi-jack the thread but where do people recommend getting an aux belt and tensioner from? I am going to be replacing mine soon.....
  3. Hi Dave Glad your a member....if I dont see the club stickers in the car I usually drop off a card. I did the same with the other silver Sup at the gym... turns out to be another club member DMo. I think your right...we are all either a fit bunch or all very vain!!! Must be to own a Sup I guess !!!!
  4. Very sad news.... My thoughts go out to his family and friends...
  5. Dropped a club card under your wiper?
  6. Going in for a bit of a major service on the car and just wondered if I need to change the hand brake shoes as part of replacing the rear discs? I have had the car for 5 yrs and they have not been changed during the time I have owned it. Is it good form to change the shoes when doing the discs or do they rarely need changing?
  7. Guys, any recommendations on where to buy an alternator belt and tensioner....is it dealer only? Also have done a search for a `How To` for changing the belt but cant see one (I may be doing the wrong search). Does anyone know if there is a guide for changing this somewhere or equally anyone got any tips
  8. Thanks Alex (I did read your thread on plugs, great work ;0) !!
  9. As the title suggests - looking to order some new plugs (have read the threads in the search box) but just want to make doubly sure before ordering them. cheers
  10. I really feel for you .... I also run an IT company and know its very difficult not to extend credit as its the way of the industry. FYI we have found a very reasonable company for credit checking customers CreditSafe http://www.creditsafe.com/ If you do a bit of a haggle you can get unlimited company checks inc daily credit limits, daily updated reports and CCJ's etc for about £300 per year.....well worth it..... Hope it all works out...good luck.
  11. From my experience salt and potassium levels may be low. Are you also taking substitutes like Creatine as they can also increase the cramping? You may equally just be a little unlucky and are more prone to cramps than others!

  13. Just curious to know roughly how much your average tyre fitter makes on a tyre?
  14. My luck is rubbish! Coming home from work, felt the car was 'out of sorts' and had that sinking feeling.......yep....put a nail through the front tyre Can anyone tell me if tyre places will repair ZR rated tyres....the bloody thing has got loads of miles left in it yet and I will be well pissed off if I have to buy a new one!
  15. To be honest chaps we all love some high spirits now and again but Reading is a static meet and is advertised as such. Some of those nobbers giving it welly in the car park need to be turned away next event (its only a matter of time before someone gets injured). Fortunately no supra owners, we are all much too sensible ;0) The more this happens the more it becomes a chav meet with smoking tyres and neon lights! Plus the police interest is only gonna get worse! I know the event organizers are going to be proactively involved in calming it down a little so hopefully we wont see the same car park antics like we saw from that div in the white nissan! Just my opinion...

    IT funny

    How many Microsoft engineers does it take to change a light bulb? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . None....they just make `dark` the new industry standard!
  18. When you say it kangaroo's do you mean whist pulling away or do you mean it idles irratically? If it runs at ~800 and then drops to ~400 it will sound like its struggling to idle but it should not cut out. I would take a guess that if you blip the throttle it will pick up OK? If so I would not worry too much, its probably the cars management system having a moment! Equally it could be a sensor etc, I would monitor it for a while before changing the plugs again as I would say they are ok based on the time they have been fitted. Oh and most Sups are now suffering from valve stem seal issues now...they are old cars remember! Again I would not worry too much unless its absolutely chucking out smoke. Keep and eye on your oil levels though!! More concerning is the poor pick up on the 2nd turbo. My knowledge here is sketchy but I believe its normally attributed to the actuator, may be worth searching for a thread on this issue. Good luck with it...
  19. What a wasted bank holiday weekend.....due to the effin weather I have been a 3 day TV junkie, watched a handful of films with the gf but have achieved nothing! Had plans to finish off my garden project but beaten by global warming....
  20. Dont normally post in the `was it you` section but have not seen this one around Reading before. Storm Blue (or possibly Green), big rims and loud! Looked and sounded great!
  21. Hi Gav Its a lovely Peugeot 405 1994 1.9 (non-turbo) diesel estate. Beautiful........!
  22. Read the threads in the search section, although they dont point towards a likely cause. Anyone have any ideas? Like I say the car is dry its just the belt that is wet?
  23. cheers Charlotte, I should have done that first.....I should know better by now !!!
  24. My mate is looking for a really nice black Sup (see Twoscoops)... Are you going to the next Reading meet?
