  2. if you want to get all the info you need before going and buying something like this take a quick look at http://www.avforums.com ....... it has all you will need to know.... Its a bit like mkivsupra.net but for TV's instead of cars !!!

    Tl1000r

I think this is a bargain... I love the TL and always wanted one. I dont think £2800 is too much at all for a minter as these are generally abused and finding a good one is almost impossible especially with the milage. If I did not love my blade so much I would have been very tempted....
  5. IMO Steer clear of EBC, I have found them to be too hard, eat discs and squeal like a stuck pig....
  6. Not wishing to push my company....but I will....we do an excellent box called the XGate that will curtail all manner of stuff including content filtering for more info go to http://www.bluebeamsecurity.com/partner-GSEC1-xgate.asp Or if your only looking to restict his internet use and nothing else then you could try http://www.protectingeachother.com/ plus if your quick you can still get this for free by signing up to the beta test.
  7. I had this, turned out to be a bad connection. Also, check for any soldered joints.
  8. Last time I let the missus out I bought her a new bag and belt..... .........she recons the hoover has never run so well!!!!
  9. I am interested in reading this also if it can be found...I did a search a while ago and could not find anything that details the mod.

    cheap ferrari

Why is it that when someone new comes onto the forum some people immediately have to take an aggressive standpoint and feel the need to to take the piss out of them? If we are not careful the good name of this forum will soon turn sour! Anyway....welcome Spider, nice car and thanks for making the effort to track this forum down....
  11. Red/Chumpalot, dont know if it helps but mine clunked with the best of them, especially on slow turns, pulling away or pulling up on the drive etc. Like you I had a whole list of potentential causes and was prepared for the worst....although on the ramps the mechanics found nothing lose, no subframe bolts etc so they could not find the cause....however as part of the list of work I had all the pads changed and all the clunking has gone! The sounds coming off the front end I would never have attributed to pads alone but so far so good!!! I would seriously look at this first...I know it sounds mad that the pads could make so much noise..... but it could be a cheap starting point! (note the pads I took out where EBC `green` dont ever use them they are rubbish)
  12. For me the best sup I have seen in a long time is Swandip's, although the pictures in his garage are not up to date.

    Dilemma

Ok, you have been a member since June 05 and posted 8,301 times..... So on average thats 2767 posts per year (give or take a few) divide by the £10.00 annual subscription fee......£0.003614p per post Your right!!! Its way too expensive....dont do it!
  14. Your never gonna get a 3.0L TT car to deliver the performance it does on Ford Fiesta fuel economy....its just the way it is! If fuel economy is going to be a major factor in your next car and your gonna use it regularly or as a 'daily driver' then prepare to get friendly with your local petrol station! 20mpg (perhaps a little more) is a roughly achievable on average! Could be worse, a friend of mine has just bought the SL AMG 55 and its returning 14mpg!!!
  15. just repaced mine - have not got the receipt next to me but from memory cost about £80.00 + VAT from Steve Manley
  16. For a while now I have had the familiar clunking sounds coming off the front when pulling up on the drive or in a slow corner on a tight lock and put it down to lose subframe bolts. Had a load of service work carried out and intended to get the subframe re torqued. Although the garage could not find anything that needed tightening? As part of the service I had all new pads and hey presto...no more clunking. My guess is that the clunking noise was the pads shifting in the calipers, so if anyone else has the same problems check its not your pads..... Note, the pads I took out where EBC 'green', a load a crap, way too hard and squealed like a stuck pig! Hope this helps...
  17. Just had a service done on the Sup and whist they where doing the front brakes on the ramp I noticed the front hubs look like they have a blanking plug in the back of them suggesting they could allow for drive shafts? Out of interest does anyone know if Toyota ever fitted the same front hubs to any of their other vehicles? Might be worth knowing for future reference?
  18. This may help? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=99443
  19. These are sometimes difficult to shift once they are on the machine. They can in some cases open backdoors and re-install themselves even after you have attempted to clean up after them. Try and get hold of a good av, with spyware cleaning capabilities although as I say it may be that you have to re-build the machine!
  20. It just feels like I am not getting any 2nd boost at ~4000rpm. No1 seems fine but if I gradually increase revs there is no second kick? Plus if I floor it it just doesent feel as quick? Just had a quick look round the hoses but to be honest I cant see much and dont want to start pulling off old hoses and make things worse! What is the best way to check if No2 is working (without having any boost guages etc)?
  21. Guys can you help. I am pretty sure the 2nd turbo is not kicking in and need a bit of help. I have read a few threads including Ian's which is very helpful but the attached pictures are not opening http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=27904 Can anyone point me in the right direction as to the hoses, bits etc I need to check? Thanks

  23. MMMmm.... if your keen to recover the data PM the details of your drive and a breakdown of your issue and I will see what I can do on the price.
  24. Not wanting to plug my company.....but I will !! We deal with a company that can retrieve data from almost anything....even when you have lost all hope. If your interested in recovering the stuff I am sure we can help.. for more info go to our web site http://www.bluebeamsecurity.com/partner-fields-main.asp
  25. Check to see how the speedo has been converted - if the wires have been soldered together (which is common) re solder them as sometimes you get poor joints.
