AVG + Malwarebytes + Microsoft have their own free antivirus tools they don't seem to announce actively to the world :-) There is something to be said for cautious browsing and email activity - I am paranoid personally and 9 times out of 10 can spot dodgey emails by their subject and "from" details. If you absolutely must perform high risk activity, why not try using a virtual instance of Windows XP or a Linux variant to do the dirty work using Sun's Virtual Box.

You live, you make choices, you enjoy, you suffer, you win you fail - nobody here can rationalise it for you, make of it what you will, the world is a big place, and the universe infinitely moreso. Personally, I am here in my fleeting existence to enjoy life where possible and when I interact with people I try to be as nice as possible within my own limits. I think Bill and Ted have always had the right idea; Be Excellent to one another! I care not for religion or similar beliefs, I like for everyone to get along and I see segregation due to ingrained beliefs as a barrier to that end. Any organized belief that excludes good people on principle is a very sad choice in life. When you die, personally I think - that is it, and I am ok with that. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, I will never force my personal beliefs on anyone - I will happily share them when asked though :o)

Thank you sir, you are a star! (Not sure why I didn't have that online EPC bookmarked anywhere!! that should stop me asking part numbers again :-)).

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew what the Toyota part number was for the oil level float sensor from oil pan 1 (edit, duh being dumb)? Cheers, Simon.

New tensioner as well as the belt at that price? I am only asking as I just got pwned for a new tensioner, and it was a tad pricier than the OEM belt on its own (even Blueprint direct don't seem to do cheap aux tensioners). Great if you can get it! Wish I knew about it at the time!? With the tensioner, you do mean the whole unit? (big thing that bolts into the front of the block, not just the tension wheel?).

At 8 took a running plunge onto some concrete 4-5ft below - face first (yes that is why I am so beautiful) - it wasn't planned funnily enough, someone thought it would be funny to launch me in the general direction of the patio as I ran past (kids eh?). That hurt and I remember it vividly, although lost no teeth as I had lost several the week before when my brother and I were fighting. At 9 fell 20 feet+ from a tree (little monkey, and possibly where I have my modern fear of heights from) catching a few branches on the way - zero injuries. Weird one, didn't hurt, was just shocked. If I did this today I would die!! Kids bounce, which is cool! (and fortunate) At 9 again, wall fell on me. I mean come on... who expects a wall to fall on you randomly? A good 4 foot wall just collapsed, all I lost was a part of a toe nail on my right foot thankfully! At 10 years old, playing with a power transformer - trying to see if I could get chlorine from salt water - rammed two "modified" pencils into a saline solution from a bodgered mains adapter... took a nasty shock from that! (dissolved 2 x 2p coins too before I got to that stage - in retrospect, I was way too curious as a child). WTF I was going to do/test/observe with the chlorine I do not know/remember! At 15, I thought it would be funny to put my fingers across the ends of a cathode ray experiment in the Physics A-level lab - 50k volts later and a short term memory loss... ow, low amps it may be, but fook it still hurt! Age 22. sensible now, doing something with electrics, takes appropriate fuse out to work on socket - foom - no I didn't... 8 feet cleared and a moment of pause and confusion... from that point onwards I just switch all the electrics off beofore I touch anything!!!! (thankful I had the lesson in all fairness) Been hit by two cars when crossing roads, thankfully at low speeds and no damage to me, in fact second guy that hit me drove off cos he thought I was going to kill him when I got back up. Running low on lives I guess.

Ah just discovered why we don't have the interest - apparently it was an option to pay it all at the end a and also monthly.... seems we had the yearly pay for some reason or other FFS
-
Not sure if this was implied, just checking that I read you right: I thought it was unlikely anyone would see *any* interest from a fixed one year bond if the bank went poof before they paid the interest out? Terms seemed to be that the interest was to be paid at the end of the year (i.e. on maturity) if I remember correctly, unless your 1 year deal was different to ours (which was due to mature in February ) I haven't checked all the latest about it mind you, so if you have some good news - that would be most welcome .

Was with company that owed me 3 months+ pay, then they declared bankruptcy - got £2700 out of the government in an attempt to help - max they would pay out! (Because new company took on old debts they taxed it lol), New company bought everything taking on old debt, wonderful - now they have failed to pay for two months (actually only just paying up one month so one month again recently - giving me 3.2months owed consistently for the past 5-6+ months!!) - I have been in a state of constant buggery for some time, but have been able to weather the storm... guess where my other halfs savings were that were keeping us afloat?.. Icesave.. woot! -
I have to agree, something lovely about a soft spoken female Irish accent (mmmmm!). Welsh myself with no real accent left in me (unless I am completely pished at which point I seem to devolve into a Neil Kinnock like lilt when on a rant ).

Christ, that's a horrific mess! Good job you were able to walk away from it!

I go out for random drives on a whim regardless of the car that is running. Fiesta is as fun as anything around the local lanes when I feel the urge Supe is fun at 2:40am and dodging wildlife up towards Henley in the back lanes! (sadly caught the remains of a Monkjack tonight that someone else had freshly killed ahead of me that made a sickening thud on the underside of the car )

Same family as wasps Winged Hymenoptera kill more people in North America than handguns!

It is beyond me personally to understand how a child can actually go to such lengths to fulfill his desire to figure out how cool/fun it would be to put to death all these creatures in the manner he executed them. That actually worries me with this child. I find it hard to condemn peoples initial thoughts for retribution though, as that is actually more of a natural process than the actual harming of the animals in these circumstances as any empathic animal loving individual will find it hard to understand (a little twisted but understandable if you follow it). The child is displaying outwardly trends of some potentially unpleasant and dangerous antisocial personality disorder which is the most important thing to identify with. Who needs taking to task? Parents and primary health care officials maybe? Hard to spot these things in children - not as easy as a colour blindness test! He needs monitoring for the first part and treatment/rehabilitation since this is now obvious - this is not normal for *any* child, but we shouldn't condemn him on this action alone (this is the result of an unchecked possible defect). Maybe I was abnormal as a child, I guess as I wanted to be veterinary surgeon (reaching for the sky at the time) I love pretty much all animals (I even save wasps where possible, and I hate them with a passion!) - I have been bitten by pretty much every domestic animal there is and have no fear or hate for them nor have ever desired their harm. Temperament and upbringing has a lot to do with how a child behaves - but in some rare cases their brains just aren't wired right! Child needs assessment observation and help, not stoning! If he is allowed to continue untreated/monitored then there are many to be held accountable if we are to truly to call ourselves a society.

Wasps are one of lifes wonderful creations that I wouldn't mind seeing on the endangered list! Hateful creatures! They don't adhere to the "Don't move and I won't sting you" rule, apparently they didn't sign that particular insect human peace treaty in Geneva back in the day! I watched not so long ago in amazement as a wasp landed on my window sill and proceeded to sting seven shades of shiva out of it! Left a blob of venom on the sill - window sill must have moved? Pain of being stung varies between individuals, but damn - it hurts like hell! At the age of 11 I was stung by a wasp between 11-13 times on the back (hard to tell with clustered stings)! One wasp - 11-13 times... (it flew up my T-Shirt). I now have a mildly irrational fear of the lil buggers! Note: More people die each year from the effects of insect venom such as wasp/hornet than from spider or snake bites! A bee stings you once, and only if in dire fear of its life as once it has stung you, it is game over and it dies! Wasp? Somebody gave it a stiletto and a free pass to stab as many people as it wants! So much hate for wasps - think I will try and coax the Daily Mail into a wasp hate campaign... shouldn't take much!

Looks as though the torque converter that came off my 1993 JSpec TT is in reasonable condition (i.e. it was working when it came off) - as far as I know this torque converter has been good for ~60k+ miles - I have no idea how well they are supposed to last: http://www.istslice.co.uk/pics/tc.jpg Only reason for removing it is for installation of my Precision Industries High-stall torque converter for use with my upcoming single build (forgot to take a photo of it today before it went on - wonderful lilac colour though ): http://www.boostlogic.com/xcart/image.php?id=95&type=P Not sure what it is worth to you Amigo If anyone has an idea what a used TC with 60k miles on it is worth let me know. Pick up preferred as it is quite heavy, but if you want to cover postage that is cool. I am not sure where in the West Midlands you are based, but I will be up in Coventry next Saturday for my cousins wedding (i.e. can bring up and am available on the Sunday if needs be). PM me to discuss if interested. Other than that will start opening for sale threads with the viable strip down parts from my ongoing build

Many moons ago I bought some Venoms without reading up on them - then a little while before they were due to be installed I found a thread talking about how they had killed a few engines! I thought b****s - and thought I would send them to get flow tested sooner rather than later, lo and behold they were all over the place and spray patterns were f****d (dribbling said the report) - flow rates from 415-490 nowhere near the 720 stated on them. Bloke I had purchased them off had done a Houdini and I was left with but 1 recourse; to bin the evil things so they could never do harm! Once bitten!

I may have one for you, my Hi-stall has just gone on the box so will check the condition of the one that came off this evening.

I assume you don't mean something nautical with sprit (think it is a sailing term or something), but meant spirit? What appears to be the real underlying problem? Plenty of well meaning folk on here offers to help with whip arounds when the chips are down, some real advice for real questions etc. Who has wronged you, how have they wronged you and when?

Well, to me the curves and the temperament of the car make it a "She"
