  1. AVG + Malwarebytes + Microsoft have their own free antivirus tools they don't seem to announce actively to the world :-) There is something to be said for cautious browsing and email activity - I am paranoid personally and 9 times out of 10 can spot dodgey emails by their subject and "from" details. If you absolutely must perform high risk activity, why not try using a virtual instance of Windows XP or a Linux variant to do the dirty work using Sun's Virtual Box.
  2. You live, you make choices, you enjoy, you suffer, you win you fail - nobody here can rationalise it for you, make of it what you will, the world is a big place, and the universe infinitely moreso. Personally, I am here in my fleeting existence to enjoy life where possible and when I interact with people I try to be as nice as possible within my own limits. I think Bill and Ted have always had the right idea; Be Excellent to one another! I care not for religion or similar beliefs, I like for everyone to get along and I see segregation due to ingrained beliefs as a barrier to that end. Any organized belief that excludes good people on principle is a very sad choice in life. When you die, personally I think - that is it, and I am ok with that. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, I will never force my personal beliefs on anyone - I will happily share them when asked though :o)
  3. Thank you sir, you are a star! (Not sure why I didn't have that online EPC bookmarked anywhere!! that should stop me asking part numbers again :-)).
  4. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew what the Toyota part number was for the oil level float sensor from oil pan 1 (edit, duh being dumb)? Cheers, Simon.
  5. New tensioner as well as the belt at that price? I am only asking as I just got pwned for a new tensioner, and it was a tad pricier than the OEM belt on its own (even Blueprint direct don't seem to do cheap aux tensioners). Great if you can get it! Wish I knew about it at the time!? With the tensioner, you do mean the whole unit? (big thing that bolts into the front of the block, not just the tension wheel?).
  6. At 8 took a running plunge onto some concrete 4-5ft below - face first (yes that is why I am so beautiful) - it wasn't planned funnily enough, someone thought it would be funny to launch me in the general direction of the patio as I ran past (kids eh?). That hurt and I remember it vividly, although lost no teeth as I had lost several the week before when my brother and I were fighting. At 9 fell 20 feet+ from a tree (little monkey, and possibly where I have my modern fear of heights from) catching a few branches on the way - zero injuries. Weird one, didn't hurt, was just shocked. If I did this today I would die!! Kids bounce, which is cool! (and fortunate) At 9 again, wall fell on me. I mean come on... who expects a wall to fall on you randomly? A good 4 foot wall just collapsed, all I lost was a part of a toe nail on my right foot thankfully! At 10 years old, playing with a power transformer - trying to see if I could get chlorine from salt water - rammed two "modified" pencils into a saline solution from a bodgered mains adapter... took a nasty shock from that! (dissolved 2 x 2p coins too before I got to that stage - in retrospect, I was way too curious as a child). WTF I was going to do/test/observe with the chlorine I do not know/remember! At 15, I thought it would be funny to put my fingers across the ends of a cathode ray experiment in the Physics A-level lab - 50k volts later and a short term memory loss... ow, low amps it may be, but fook it still hurt! Age 22. sensible now, doing something with electrics, takes appropriate fuse out to work on socket - foom - no I didn't... 8 feet cleared and a moment of pause and confusion... from that point onwards I just switch all the electrics off beofore I touch anything!!!! (thankful I had the lesson in all fairness) Been hit by two cars when crossing roads, thankfully at low speeds and no damage to me, in fact second guy that hit me drove off cos he thought I was going to kill him when I got back up. Running low on lives I guess.
  7. I haven't forgotten about you either mate Haven't had a chance to get at the tubbies as they are squirreled away in a yard I don't have the key for and was away at a wedding this weekend. If you can source one/both before I get around to rescuing them no bother Amigo - happy hunting!

    Icesave

Ah just discovered why we don't have the interest - apparently it was an option to pay it all at the end a and also monthly.... seems we had the yearly pay for some reason or other FFS

    Icesave

Not sure if this was implied, just checking that I read you right: I thought it was unlikely anyone would see *any* interest from a fixed one year bond if the bank went poof before they paid the interest out? Terms seemed to be that the interest was to be paid at the end of the year (i.e. on maturity) if I remember correctly, unless your 1 year deal was different to ours (which was due to mature in February ) I haven't checked all the latest about it mind you, so if you have some good news - that would be most welcome .
  10. lol I have one of these too going spare - I suspect will be going the same way shame really
  11. Was with company that owed me 3 months+ pay, then they declared bankruptcy - got £2700 out of the government in an attempt to help - max they would pay out! (Because new company took on old debts they taxed it lol), New company bought everything taking on old debt, wonderful - now they have failed to pay for two months (actually only just paying up one month so one month again recently - giving me 3.2months owed consistently for the past 5-6+ months!!) - I have been in a state of constant buggery for some time, but have been able to weather the storm... guess where my other halfs savings were that were keeping us afloat?.. Icesave.. woot!
  12. I have to agree, something lovely about a soft spoken female Irish accent (mmmmm!). Welsh myself with no real accent left in me (unless I am completely pished at which point I seem to devolve into a Neil Kinnock like lilt when on a rant ).
  13. Christ, that's a horrific mess! Good job you were able to walk away from it!
