  3. yeah must have been...will try and keep an eye out for you next time!
  4. were you in your Supe? I never seem to see many around when I'm out...but I was in Canterbury earlier so could have been me
  5. Well, I pulled the dash apart and found a few dodgy connections, which I tried to correct (or at least insulate!). To be honest, soldering would have been the best route, but unfortunately I didn't have the equipment available to me at the time. Since playing with the wires however, the speedo hasn't been as erratic as it was. Instead, the speedo needle does nothing during the first 10 mins of driving and then starts working again... I have now ordered a Thor DSC/TSD unit, so hopefully this will sort out the problem.
  6. Battery clamp please (PM also sent)
  7. cheers for the info! I will have a play at the weekend and try and narrow down the failure...
  8. lol...I didn't even notice the thread date
  9. Hi - I have inherited this problem as described by Chumpalot, when I bought his Supra a few months back. I have had the speedo/odo part of the dash off to check the wiring, and here's a photo: Now, I noticed a few soldered connections that had dodgy or no insulation at all. This may well be the source of the problem (overdrive lights flshing, speedo needle occasionally having spasms, power steering going light at speed etc.), but can anyone confirm that connecting the pink cable (loom side, that is spliced to the grey/white cable running to the delimiter/converter) and splicing into the blue/red wire (from pin 5) would effectively be the code 42 fix documented above? I want to check, as no one yet mentioned their speedo/odo converter was wired into the pink pin 6 wire.. Cheers for any advice!
  10. ...guilty Saw a nice silver one just before getting to Herne Bay actually (in Canterbury heading sturry bound)
  11. cool - I keep my Supe in Herne Bay at the moment. I feel a mini-South East Kent meet could be on the cards!
  12. Hey - well I picked up my Supe a few weeks ago, so will be on the look out as I'm often driving around the Canterbury area. Mine's a black TT...I guess as it's an auto I have no excuse to not wave
  13. have you advertised at Celica Club UK? Definately worth a try there if you haven't already mate http://www.celica-club.co.uk
  14. Hi - I ordered a new driver side door regulator kit direct from Mr T (cost approx 60 pounds), as the original window cable and regulator was messed up, so the window was not moving anywhere etc. I can try and find the part number if that's any help? Or is it the actual motor you need? (hopefully not, as I believe these cost a fair bit...) Jim
  15. Herne Bay / Whitstable area ...I thought we could do with some more support down here ;-)
  16. picked the Supra up yesterday...beautiful car and had big grin syndrome on the drive down to Kent Dave - cheers for the airport pick-up mate, you have email regarding CD's James
  17. cheers - yeah a Porsche looks like a cheaper option here when compared to Supra prices right now! I've looked into importing, but there's loads red tape to get through (including changing over some parts to meet European spec for the equivalent "MOT" test). Also, as I will only be here until October (contracting), it may just not be worth while... But summer is coming and I have lots of road trips planned...so hopefully get something sorted soonish

    Hey all

Hi - Just paid up...so "hello!" to everyone I am looking to change from my JDM 1991 Celica (it has been a beautiful 3 year partnership!), to TT supra ownership fairly soon. Actually, I came across this TT aerotop (manual ) here in Germany, but unfortunately it's a tad out of my price range at nearly 29,000 € .... http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=ivqckmveigl ...but hey, maybe someone on the continent with a big wallet will jump at it Anyway, I shall keep an eye on the for sale thread for the time being. Cheers, Jim
