  1. When I was looking, the Thor unit seemed to come most recommended, and I have fitted two units without problems. They are harder to get hold of now though, since they stopped being produced, but sometimes pop-up on here or eBay. [Hint: people going single turbo often switch to piggy-back/standalone ECU - a previously fitted FCD may then become surplus etc.] Apart from the HKS FCD, maybe try the traders on here to see what's available new?

  9. 1995 RZ Twin-Turbo (Jspec BPU) Black Automatic 91,000 Miles M.O.T. 11/2011 Tax 03/2011 HPI clear Price £5750 ono (p/x possible) Up for sale is my black supra TT, which I have owned for almost 3 years. I purchased a GZ aerotop earlier this year, so this one is now surplus to requirements. There is a nice folder full of documentation, containing invoices and receipts for various servicing, MOTs and upgrades carried out. Registration document (V5) is present, as is a report/certificate from mycarcheck.com. The car has been in the club a while, and has been owned by at least 3 members on this forum (past and present), since it was imported from Japan. AFR tuning have carried out the majority of the servicing whilst in my ownership and I have arranged with the guys there that an engine compression test is carried out, as well as a dyno test for the prospective owner. * Included in the above price, the car will also be valeted and the paintwork flattened and polished. The car is a joy to drive, it pulls like a train, and has been ultra reliable throughout ownership. Here is the spec: Performance - Jspec ceramic turbos running at @ 1.2 bar max - BPU'd - Whifbitz FMIC - UK Brakes - HKS Silent Hi-Power exhaust system - Decat pipes - HKS SSV BOV - HKS induction kit - Blitz boost controller - GReddy turbo timer - TRL FCD - Thor DSL - Motorsport fuel pump - HKS Iridium spark plugs - Cusco aluminium front strut brace - Torsen diff - Braided brake hoses Chassis - Bilstein shocks ( - UK spec springs Other - Trial rear bumper - Top Secret III front bumper - *Rare* Greddy spoiler - Veilside skirts - 19" Wheelmanix Vortex R alloys (now matt black) - Front black leather seats, black roof lining - Clear front and side indicators - Facelift headlights - Blitz speedo/tacho dials - A-pillar pod with boost and EGT gauges (indiglo) - Pioneer radio/mp3 head unit (iPod ready) - Focal component (Front) and Alpine coaxial (rear) speakers - Levoc carbon style auto shifter - Rear Fog light conversion - Thatcham cat1 alarm/immobiliser (laserline) Bad bits: - Driver wing mirror was replaced with non-electric type - Overall paintwork is average and there is a chip in rear bumper * Good bits: - Hybrid turbos (which were dying) were replaced with lower mileage Jspec ceramic turbos - Front bumper has had fresh respray - New brake discs, pads and both rear wheel bearings replaced in the last year. I'm in...can't be too many more needed now
  11. - do you have pics? - how much for just the rear emblem and supra badges? ta
  12. Well... Had a bit of a trek to Holland afterwards on Sunday evening, but the old Supra stood up well to the day's proceedings and the drive back (petrol is getting expensive though isn't it?!) Gutted for the guys who had mechanical problems...seemed like everything went wrong on the first run?! Thanks Jez for the invite and Jamie for the head's up on this event. I had a great day in the Supra, and everyone was extremely friendly For me, it made up a bit for Suprapod being rained off, and afforded an opportunity to let off some steam along the airfield The car was given a good stretch, and has helped to see what direction the next level of tuning should head to. Whilst I was happy with my terminal speeds, single turbo seems to be calling in the near future (not helped by Dude's persuasian tactics ) Highlight of the day was the beast of a Granada(!) and exchanging passenger rides with a guy running a Nissan GT-R. What an incredible machine... Here are a few pics from the day: Thunder Road 2010 pics
  13. leaving shortly...see you all down there tomorrow
  14. I am looking forward to appearing frequently in the rear camera view
  15. limiter will be 112mph, so your speedo is over-reading a little bit with 120mph (or down to larger wheel/tyre radius). I also heard the Thor units are difficult to get now, but since you already have the speedo conversion working, why not just get a delimiter chip? These can be wired in near the ECU. There are "cheap" units available on eBay, although might be better to pay little more, (e.g. HKS, Greddy)
  16. these dash panels have been looking pretty in my Supe for a couple of months now
