  1. Marcus The BBS and members area are seperate. Go to http://mkivsupra.net/members click on MemberLogin, select a username, and it will create you a member slot their. By the way, are those stock 17's that have been chromed ?? Dean.
  2. Gonna sound thick as i've had the car 2 years, and never tried Manu. What is the difference between pressing the Manu button, and putting the car in 1 then 2 then D - is this not the same ?? Dean..
  3. Matt. Yes they are the 18" spokes, 10's on the back running 275x35's and ? on the front running 245xsomething Dean.
  4. Phils Duraglit suggestion worked a treat - certainly removed the fine scratches. A few more sessions and it should look like new. Dean.
  5. Gareth Who did your alarm ?? - was someone in MK ? I let PCS do mine, thought not as clever as your car. they did a Concept 600 faultlessly. I'm going back week after next for another concept or similar on the Lexus GS300 Sport, which amazingly after weeks of searching came from Emerson Valley !! Dean..
  6. I want to polish/remove fine scratches from a clear perspex/plastic cover. I remember when i was at school we used to use a buffing wheel - not really practical where i want to do it. Can i use v.fine wet and dry ?? - or some other polishing compound ?? The plastic looks like its been cleaned with an abrasive and consequently has a slightly matt finish. Any suggestions appreciated Dean..
  7. Did my first proper bit of night-time, round the country lanes driving, since the car has been lowered. Frightened the life out of me !! My dipped seemed to finish about 3 foot in front of me... I've now adjusted them up. Does anyone know where the should be. i.e. parked 2 metres from wall - top of beam 1mtr up wall ?? Thanks Dean..
  8. Yep same person - two personalities  - 1 @ the office, and 1@ home Dean.
  9. Mr.J - didn't realise you were Aylesbury based, you can pop over to me a some point if you want to do an install. Dean. ps. Let us know what your name is
  10. Well done Gareth - glad you didn't slate the site Old car bit is nothing to do with me  Dean..
  11. Cheers James Thats excellent - i'm gonna have fun in the garage this winter Dean..
  12. Justins' will be on mine - eventually... So where do i get fibreglassing stuff - will the paint people sell that too ?? Dean..
  13. Just prepping it was my original idea, but then considered trying to spray it myself... Perhaps the prepping route would be the best, leaving the paint to Nick Phelps. So... to prep i'm assuming just filler, surface filler, wet & dry, fibreglass kit ?? dean.
  14. I'm local to Milton Keynes, and travel down to Leon at Watford, he's independent and certainly knows what he is doing. 0956-285219 (sorry haven't rung it since it changed to 7's) Dean..
  15. Paul Just run the car up onto a brick, and then jack it up !! Dean..
  16. I bow to your greater knowledge  Have never heard of Find-a-Part, so just did it the long (cheap) way. Got the inards for free anyway... Dean..
  17. Could it not be condensation ?? I remember Chris Wilson saying that the Supra exhaust held enough water that it takes upto 200miles to clear on small runs. He suggested doing a 50mile run up a motorway, stopping, waiting 15mins, and starting again, if still smoke, there was a problem. Dont know the remedy though Dean..
  18. I did the high level brake light.. Got one of those cheap tacky things for Halfords type shop. You need some long box type sockets as the light is on long bolts and you cant get in with a spanner. Once it's out, cut the light open, glue the LED strip etc. in from new fitting. Glue back together, and either try to find the feed cable which is supposedly there, or just run a new one down inside the hatch to one of the rear clusters... Also converted the brake and fog lights, so it looks like a j-spec from the rear, with twin driving and brake lights, but also has double fogs... Dean..
  19. I used calliper paint, designed for high temperature, brushed on dried in minutes, seems pretty good http://www.indidist.co.uk/images/images/Darby4.jpg But i believe someone mentioned you could use engine paint spray, which would give a smoother finish ready for transfer/stencil.. Is that a stock wheel that has been chromed on that website ?? - wonder how much that costs... Dean..
  20. I never have this problem - i've found not going over 80mph far more satisfying and safe  Dean..
  21. Come on then - get some pictures done, and upload them here or on the members section Dean..
  22. ChipsAway came and touched me up  yesterday - good old by only charged £35 inc. VAT, also rubbed out some scratches around the door handle. What would the wet-and-dry be he was using ??, obviously very fine, but worked a treat at removing them.. Would like to try it myself in a few other areas. Dean..
  23. Nicks work number is :- 01525-378888 email is [email protected] Regards Dean.. ps. Tell him i sent you
  24. Nick Phelps is certainly the man if you want a really professional paint job - he did my front lip for me - brilliant job - 1 year later and no stones chips in it.. I saw his brothers Cosworth which he'd painted - it was absolutely tremendous, when i get my side skirts, front lip etc. i will definately be getting him to do them, as he plasticises' then so well. Might get him to do the full respray later next year  Dean..
  25. My brother has an iridescent blue Alfa 156, its an incredible paint - its a silver/green colour in bright light, but than turns to a pale metallic blue as the sun moves around it - really cool - but i'd hate to try to touch it up. Those of you coming to Donington on Sunday will see it - i won't be in the Supe as we needed 4 seats - Wasn't going to sit in the back of a Skyline either !! Dean..
