  1. will do mate and what you just said does make perfect sense. i had always been hoping it was just the mount but the fly seems like the prime suspect now with any luck i'll know whether it was the mount by the end of the week (if i ever get the part number ) cheers
  2. its not just 1 clunk though, it continues till i put my foot back down. its an identical feeling as trying do 10-15mph in top gear going uphill (what i call kangarooing it for some reason) but without the nasty wiplash. there is some really light jolting while this happens but its not uncomfortable like the engine is about to stall. its really hard to describe here though this is what makes me lean towards the gearbox mount at the moment, to me it seems like the engine is unbalanced and when at low revs its enough to rock it back and forth making the noise
  3. selector seal has been leaking all over it so the rubber is in real bad shape. the rubber in the centre part has gone really soft and sticky and a good amount of it looks to have dissolved completely. reason i started doing this is cos i get a clunking under the car when i lift off almost like the car is in the wrong gear at lower speeds (similar sound) and when i looked under i noticed it was knackered i'm doing the seal at the moment and i'm hoping replacing the mount will stop the clunking cos if it doesnt its probably the flywheel that i didnt want to touch till i go single next year
  4. dont think so mate and whats really annoying is i'm sure i had this part number before but i cant find it anywhere on my computer
  5. thanks mate. is it for the TT6 cos your garage says you have an auto and i think they are different
  6. looks like the inside of the idle valve to me. i know i've had one in my hand before but i couldnt be 100% sure its that EDIT: doesnt it go in the manifold before the valve?
  7. does anyone have the part number for this? i searched here with no luck, couldnt seem to find it on toyodiy either for some reason. i phoned toyota near me and asked them but they started by asking if it was round and then they said that sometimes the gearbox mount is called and engine mount so i cant really take anything they said seriously now
  8. pretty sure continual flashing means no errors so hopefully nothing too serious mate
  9. i've only ever used a teaspoon mixed with water 30 mins before training. i found it did give me a little more energy during so i could lift more for a bit longer but i've never done the "loading, maintaining bit". i'm no expert though
  10. no pausing at any time?
  11. you have never seen starwars?? have you been in a galaxy far, far away? i have them all on dvd but i cant remember seeing it before
  12. ok, it arrived today i ordered the 75mm which i think is a little small (should have gone with the 80mm) and although it did just about cover the holes its not ideal. its not a new badge so the locating tabs on the back arent there and it has been retaped so it can be fitted straight on. tbh i will still buy the original badge at some point and just use this as a "quick fix". it does the job if you just want one to stick on and forget but its the kind of thing that'll bug me so i'll be getting a new one from mr T
  13. found this in an old thread Rear 1 pot Caliper Overhaul Kit = 04479-24030 Front 2 pot Caliper Overhaul Kit = 04479-14120 also got a guide to doing the job cos i was bored http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=107717
  14. bridge E1 and TE1 with a paperclip in the diag port but you need the ignition on and then check how many times the engine light flashes. it'll flash then pause for the first digit then flash again for the second (i think there's a guide somewhere on this) here it is http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920&highlight=check+engine+code
  15. me too! i have heard that with the fuel it saves these things pay for themselves after so many miles and with a little extra power to enjoy they're well worth doing
  16. not sure if will help but i just asked a guy i know in malta if he had any idea and i'll let you know when he gets back to me. maybe they have different rules in importing/exporting cos they arent part of EU customs? i did see an ebay add the other day that said they will ship anywhere except malta so maybe they are crazy strict or something
  17. you have to push in tabs on the back of them if i remember right
  18. they are normally connected to the wires on the back of the ignition barrel and if the timer is faulty it could be making a connection between the wires when it shouldnt. thats my theory anyways
  19. have you tried the TTC mode? that might rule out a few things http://www.internetwork.org.uk/mechanical/ttc/ttc.htm
  20. if its not a vac pipe that what my next guess only prob i ever had was the one where if you lift your foot off and hit it again the boost came back but after a while it fixed itself.
  21. check this thread for a similar problem/fix http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=224896&highlight=boost+drop
  22. still not here mate. i orderd 3 other things the same day and 1 of those werent even in the UK and they all beat a badge that would fit in an envelope hopefully i'll see it monday
  23. well its like i told her, the lord giveth...
