MAtt where is it you live?? i need to be 30 mins at most from heathrow
-
wokingham is lovely and has a very good reputation, i remember an article about a year ago stating it was in the top 3 places to live in the uk. Dont know woosehill too well. wokingham is well positioned for shopping in bracknell and reading, they did up a fair few of the pubs about 5 years ago so its great for an evening drink too. Great indian next to the post office.
-
well i grew up and went to school in wokingham, but i think surrey is the place i wanna end up.

sorry to hear that rich...... did you put the house on at the price it got valued at?? i know there have been alot of people who have not taken the estate agents advice and put the house on higher then valued and in turn cannot sell.
-
calial did u buy in surrey?? thinking of moving that way.
-
all true...... you feel pressurised to grab an offer as everyone is talking about how few people want to buy. I think ive just got to give it some time..... at least there is alot of interest.
-
thanks for the advice guys.......its actually only been on for a week and a half. Another viewer today so lots of interest. Not looking at buying so i dont need to do any hunting......just looking to rent till the market sorts itself out. i think ill try the 225000 with her.......if she doesnt bite then maybe consider her last offer. i dont feel there is a huge rush as its just gone on the market. Also i dont want it to sit on the market for ages as it'll be losing value as you've said.

Hi all, Just selling my house and ive just had a third offer from the same potential buyer. The house is on for £235000 Obviously she started low......10% below asking price then she incresed by £5000 and now shes come back with another £5000 increase on the offer. She's now offering about 6.5% below asking price. £220000 vs £235000. I've told her i want £225000 minimum so shes coming back for a 3rd viewing on monday and im not sure of her intentions for doing this. I hope its a good sign!! I understand times are hard and i want to be realistic but what would you guys think is a realistic price for me to settle on......i dont wanna lose her and she is a cash buyer. Am i pushing my luck looking for £225000. Any advice from any property experts?? Btw the house is immaculate and there isnt really any reason for her to knock the price down other than the current situation with the market. Ben

i think so too jamie.......its bloody expensive to own a supra with fuel prices the way they are. With the credit crunch and spare income at an all time low people just dont want spend alot of money expecially on an older car.
-
i know jamie.........you sold your manaro quick. I got the deposit about 3 weeks ago but the friendly swedish chap came yesteray to collect it. My first day without the car for 2 years and it hasnt really sunk in yet.
-
sorry that is my post above......private pile was logged on with my pc earlier and didnt realise he was still logged on. Was gonna say private pile is selling his but i guess you want a TT jamie

At least we know cams wont make much a difference on a well set up BPU with regards to max power as the turbos are pushing as much air as possible already. But it will definately hold the power in the higher revs. I think this excersise by Cheekymonkey and myself shows that a standalone ecu and mapped True twin will give you about 25bhp over a standard BPU car and push your cars potential from about 380-390 up to about 420-430bhp. The rest of you comtemplating doing the extra work can decide if spending the extra is worth that modest power gain. What you will get though it a car that feels more urgent and is perfectly set up and ready for a single so you'll be more than half way there.

here you go sequential vs ttc: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=136239
-
Thanks Gaz, TDR for a direct comparison of sequential vs true twin look at cheekymonkeys curves on one of his previous posts............i prefer the true twin curve by far. At the end of a day on a spirited drive your not going to be letting the revs drop below 4000rpm so true twin curve beats the sequential every time. Cheekymonkey managed about 20hp more at the top end with true twin and at about 4000rpm his car was producing about 80hp more in ttc over sequential. I think ryan said there was more scope to adjust timing in true twin for whatever reason. On the road i must say true twin pulls more predictably, more progressively, no drop in power like the sequential switch over and although public opinion is with sequential i would say try a well mapped true twin and you would be impressed. The cams also make the car feel much stronger on higher revs on the road. I'll get ryan to post the dyno plot as i dont have a scanner.

Hi All, Had a final map last night with Ryan before I have to hand the car over to its new owner!! My car is bpu stock twins running in parallel with an aem, 650cc injetors and jun cams The car came in to ryan running 0.8bar and 399bhp. It is now running around 1.1bar with 426.5bhp and 410lb/ft. It really does feel much more urgent too. I think this map and Cheekymonkeys prove that the stock turbos really cant push anymore air so the ceiling is between 425-430bhp while keeping temps and fuelling sensible. It was interesting to compare the dyno plot with cheekymonekeys as the only real difference seperating the cars are the cams. The cams have pushed the power curve about 500rpm up the rev range as far as i can see. The main difference being that between 5500-6800rpm the cams maintain a flat power curve at 425bhp where as the stock cams drop by about 60bhp. I'm sure Ryan will have more to say but i was pleased and will be even more gutted to see the car go.

Molak just out of interest how did the chap pay for the car? I'm in the process of selling mine to a foreign buyer and was thinking cash is the safest bet...........
-
good luck alex..........i dont envy those trying to get mortgages at the mo. As soon as the media hype settles maybe buyer confidence and mortgage deals will too.
-
Mini cooper Deisel which does 73mpg.........cant imagine u fitting in one Jamie!! Drove nicer than the golf gti tdi and with that economy and mini residuals it will save me a fortune!!
-
well i have a large deposit Jamie so as good as sold. He hasnt even seen the car yet!!

There are still alot of places where prices are not dropping. I've been looking around chertsey, surrey and they seem to have gone up!! My 2 year deal of 4.7% runs out in july and the standad variable rate is actually better than the new deals. Its actually cheaper for me to stay with the SVR than change to a new mortgage. Never saw that happening! I'm just about to put my house up for sale in the next 2 days............i've decided to take the money i have in her and rent till things sort themselves out. I think there could be a fair drop too. Prices here in stansted have dropped 5% since aug last year.

I have a black bumper, facelift and black...........no structural damage, just some light stone chips
