  1. Can you set the controller to Auto mode instead of Manual mode? If so, this would be a good indication to check if you have it plumbed in correctly. Are you able to confirm how you have it plumbed in? Are you 100% that this could not be the issue?
  2. Years and years. I only broke it because of too much abuse. I changed up a gear mid drift when it wasn't properly warmed up.
  3. Ultra long gears - it just keeps going and going before you have to change up. The difference is the acceleration, its less with the TT6 diff. I believe the Auto diff. will top out about 172mph rather than 200mph. IMO 200mph is not needed for road use as it could collapse your world very quickly hence planning to put the auto diff back on once I have done a 200mph (track) run.
  4. Thats interesting. That is the problem I am having with my 888's. Reading about those budget's above it seems they start to suffer about 60% wear. Poss worth a shot at half the price of the 888's.
  5. Has anyone thought of trying a budget road legal track tyre? http://www.camskill.co.uk/m117b0s668p64167/Federal_Tyres_Trackday_Track_Day_Federal_595RSR_Federal_595_RSR_-_255_40_R17_94W_TL_
  6. What size rims do you run? I have a similar issue, I would like to run road tyres but as I am running 255's I have no option but semi-slicks as even they don't grip in 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Are R888's and Vreds the only road legal options? I have never heard of Vreds...
  7. Fully built engine 264/264 cams Whifbitz twin wastegate setup etc etc etc - long list Stock inlet plenum AEM V1 - Mapped by me - 8k rev limit. Was only running 1.5bar of boost. May look to add an inlet plenum and harder wastegate springs to run more power, should hit over 700bhp easily. It is a great setup on the street as you can see by the power graph, when the power comes on it stays right through to the red line, maybe I should raise the rev limit even further... It will be even better when I put my UK Auto DIFF back in. Thanks for the vids Matt
  8. Keeps the TOYO T1-R's on, they are they stick better than any other road tyre I have ever tried. You should be fine with 275's
  9. Thanks, I really enjoying doing it. It was challenging to learn/get to grips with but very rewarding. I hope to do a lot more it it as time goes on Cool, get it posted. Nice pic, what a nice colourful road
  10. Nope, it's now on bens car now. Wildfiresupra
  11. I got them a few years back. They are a similar price to normal tyres. Not sure exactly how much or where. Not sure if they are road legal though as they say for competition use only, not recommended for road use.
  12. I know what you mean but I never ran the T61 on the manual diff which has meant I can't compare apples with apples. I will put a uk auto diff back on at some point as I prefer that setup. When the power arrives it hits and holds power right through to the rev limit of 8k. I may run more boost and a higher RPM - would be a bloody quick spooling turbo with even more power!
  13. Likewise - Yours is very nice and look forward running against you at some point Thanks, Im please given the speed of spool and low boost - Shame you couldn't be there but I will look forward to seeing you on the Dragon Ball I have a Boost Logic T61 with BL Manifold (Cracking turbo!)
  14. Yeah it was spinning them up, but not too much on that run. Some of the other runs it was very obvious. Need to get a normal set of road tyres for the rollers really but I don't see that happening in a hurry as they are no good on the road as I still run stock rims.
  15. Hi all, Taken me a long time since I fitted the kit but I finally did a proper power run today and got 650bhp @ 1.5 bar. I couldn't get the boost any higher due to 0.5bar waste gate spring but more power to come with harder springs. I am proud to say that the car is still running a version 1 AEM and was road mapped by myself Big thanks to Whifbitz for the parts and installation and Austec Racing for a great dyne day and use of the workshop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDUtT6p4N6U
  16. Thanks so much Dude for saving the day. For those that don't know, I got a call from Dude saying he had an alternator I could use. So not only did he lend me the alternator, let me use his tools and a ramp but also lent a hand with fitting! From a miserable start to the day to a brilliant finish. My result from the day was 650bhp - 66mm Turbo @ 1.5bar
  17. Alternator failed so waiting for AA at Gatwick so I will no longer be attending. Does anyone have a new or used on in the area? Call me on 07863121614 if you do.
  18. Let's do bovingdon instead - loved they event
  19. What time is this meant to start? Today's preparations consisted of: Removing 1 wastegate last night, striping down and fixing Replacing waste gate this morning Plumb back in without boost controller Road test (break down) Get car home, charge battery Replace battery with a different one Idling too high, remove idle control vale and clean Plumb boost controller back in When battery charged start driving to halfords for battery check (warranty) Break down Replace battery with spare (again) Get to halford and they agree to replace under warranty Fit new battery Go out mapping - Spot lambo....forget mapping RACE time. Pussy wouldn't play. Starts to spit with a little rain so load old conservative map back on and hopefully I can map on the way down tomorrow Didn't exactly go to plan lol
  20. Have you tried pumping the clutch a few times with the box in neutral? Mine once made a similar noise when I pushed the clutch down and pumped a few times and gone. I put it down to lack of use
  21. Sorry to read this. Good job you didn't consider using an air rifle on them as that could have been you instead of the car.
  22. I have a twin box on mine and wouldn't want it making more noise. It does get pretty noisy when the waste gate opens though
  23. Pics and videos required Syvecs is a great ECU - A must for anyone with a decent budget
