Hi, Is anyone able to help? I am trying to get the voltage for the fuel sender unit in order to program my Dash 2 unit. All I can seem to find is Ohms which is approx 3 for empty and 110 for full but I don't know how to calculate the volts from this using ohms law. Is anyone able to help as this will save me pulling the unit out. Alternatively, if you have a DASH 2 file that accurately displays the fuel level then please let me know the equation. Thanks Jon

Get yourself a heat gun with adjustable temperature. It will make the job lots easier and reduce the chance in taking the lacquer with it. -
There are plenty of stock examples left. And just like Wez says, it's all down to personal taste. At least this one is having a really proper job done on it!

Hi David, I should be able to assist. What exactly is the issue? Are you inputting the figures and they are not changing or you are struggling to save a copy of the map?

The hotel is not a big deal, in the scheme of things it is not worth worrying about. It is out of the clubs control. That sounds like an excellent compromise - fingers crossed.

Have you changed the temp sensor yet? The ECU will change the fueling dependant on the temp but more fuel for a cold start so think this is probably not the cause. Worth a shot if not expensive, alternatively you could test the sensor. What happens if you keep on cranking without touching the throttle? Have you checked Ian C's thread to see if symptoms are similar? No harm in checking the timing. Assume it has standard cam gears?

What happens if you turn the ignition and wait for a few seconds then start? I can't remember the setup on twins but on the single I need to wait a few seconds for the fuel pressure to build. Care to try some different scenarios and give feedback? Cold start, turn off start again when still cold. run up to temp, off then on again quickly like in the vid Up to temp and wait a couple of mins etc etc

Interesting review. That AFR against target is very impressive. Did you use the learning function to get that along with closed loop? Or was it self mapped? I would personally like to see a thread about this ECU rather than a Syvecs/AEM Battle. MODS: Would it not makes sense to edit everyones posts so there is then no mention of becoming an importer anywhere?

Good question. They would both put me off. A TT auto to 6 speed aero top would be the only thing I would consider (if that exists). I used to work in accident repair so cat d wouldnt bother me but I think joe public would prefer a conversion over something that was recorded as a cat d. Conversion would not affect value as much as cat d IMO

I would avoid a Cat D - The chances are a CAT D is not a serious knock but it will heavily affect any resale value.
