  1. "Common-law" marriage means nothing in the UK. However - if you are contributing in any way - bills, etc. there can be quite a strong case for a claim. Source: http://www.advicenow.org.uk/fileLibrary/pdf/housing.pdf
  2. Escort 1.6 - Learning how to thrash a car! 16v Clio - Learning how lift-off can create scary oversteer in an overpowered FWD car BMW 328i - Yeah, yeah - I know, but I learned a lot about driving RWD with it. SUPRA! - :D
  3. ......how the whole country buying a cr*pload of fuel in the space of a couple of days and then not buying any for three is actually going to cause an issue for the fuel suppliers OR the government? Surely the way to have a dig at the government for the petrol taxation level is to not buy petrol, not just change your buying habits for a week? What am I not getting here? Does it cause a big upset in haulage or public transport or something?
  4. Ninjas are the true source of real ultimate power: Facts: 1. Ninjas are mammals. 2. Ninjas fight ALL the time. 3. The purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people. Testimonial: Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window. Q and A: Q: Why is everyone so obsessed about ninjas? A: Ninjas are the ultimate paradox. On the one hand they don't give a crap, but on the other hand, ninjas are very careful and precise. Q: I heard that ninjas are always cruel or mean. What's their problem? A: Whoever told you that is a total liar. Just like other mammals, ninjas can be mean OR totally awesome. Q: What do ninjas do when they're not cutting off heads or flipping out? A: Most of their free time is spent flying, but sometime they stab. Source: http://www.realultimatepower.net/ .........and remember...........

  6. ...this one is a no-brainer? Beautiful from the front, beautiful from behind, all the curves in the right places, a real goer. ......and Lisa's not bad, either
  7. Pleasure to meet you, mate. Didn't actually introduce myself, but I was the new guy chatting to you in the car park about your video posts. PS. see what you mean about the car vs man video - that makes some pretty disturbing viewing!
  8. Hi to everyone from last night. Sorry I couldn't hang around for long enough to get to meet everyone - hopefully make up for that next time!

  10. Was in Camden High Street @ about 8pm yesterday (20th) discussing with a friend my new soop and how realtively uncommon they are when, lo and behold there's a beautiful looking white mkIV parked right there in front of us. As we were walking past another white one, equally good looking, with some nice looking kit on it, drives past!
  11. We (silver J-Spec) were driving around some backroads in the Guildford area around lunchtime today (20th). As we were coming back into the outskirts of Guildford on the A281 at about 2pm, spotted a black MkIV coming the other way, out of town. Thinking about it, that's the only other MkIV that I've seen since I got mine 2 weeks ago.
  12. Sorry! Quick aside again - I had a look at this one, 'cos it's the sort of anal thing I do! Billions, trillions appear to differ in the UK and US: US Billion: 1,000,000,000 UK Billion: 1,000,000,000,000 US Trillion: 1,000,000,000,000 UK Trillion: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 US Quintillion: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 UK Quintillion: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Even I got bored at that point. And, interestingly (hahaha) enough - the US is actually abysmally in debt at the moment to the tune of: $7,925,741,499,921.91 Nearly 8 billion (8 trillion US ) dollars. (Source: http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/opd/opdpenny.htm) Go figure!!! :D I guess in a way, we're helping them pay back their national debt in return for their assistance in WW2. It's all good
  13. Quick point on the WWII comments: Yes, the war could have ended much differently if the US had not intervened. However, do not think it was out of the goodness of their hearts. We owe them large amounts of money from the war. And we are still paying them. Last year the UK paid 145 million dollars to the US for WWII aid. This year we will be paying 142 million. The total amount that the UK has/is repaying to the US is over 4 trillion (yes, 4,000,000,000) dollars. There is some good news - I think the last payment will be completed next year - some 60 years later! I believe many other countries are still paying similar amounts as part of the US Lend-Lease agreements. Quick hi

Just wanted to say a quick "hello" to everyone here. I am a little ashamed to say that up until a few weeks ago I was driving a BMW Then something happened.........electrical fault apparently. It all ended in a big cloud of smoke, an impromptu barbecue, lights and sirens and a car full of water and foam. Well the insurance company were very helpful and the money was through in a couple of weeks - the very same day that my brother calls me to tell me he's found a car I might like....... .....and now here I am. Picked up my J-Spec RZ 6-Speed TT (+ BPU) on Saturday. The journey back was the first time I'd even driven a Supra! I was looking like this: (and my g/f like this: ) all the way home, and I'm still looking like it today..... Hi everyone!
